Abe the CEO was nowhere to be found after the papers were signed. The project started Sept 2019 and supposedly was finished June 2020. We were promised 2 1/2 to 3 months tops. We were promised a top notch construction crew. I still have holes in my dining room ceiling because of multiple bathroom leaks that occurred from a terrible bathtub installation. I still have unfinished tile work around the skirting of the bathtub because we had to get at the faulty plumbing installation of the bathtub fixtures. I still have kitchen tiles moving and creaking because of not providing a proper undercoat before tiling. He and his company do not care. Don’t be fooled by the initial greeting and presentation - the charm disappears after the papers are signed. Don’t be fooled by the numerous excuses when complaining of the workmanship. We are still waiting for the final binder as he promised we would be receiving. I just want my house finished. No photos uploaded because you will just laugh if you see them.

Great experience working with them. They built an addition 3 years ago - well priced and high quality finishes. The impressive part however was their support 3 years after project was completed. I needed some assistance to deal with the city years after the project was closed, and GTA contractors were very responsive and supportive - got me everything i needed to resolve the issue quickly!. My husband and I had just had our second daughter when we quickly realized that we needed a bigger space for our family to live and grow in. With the housing market growing more and more pricey in our City of Toronto, we were not sure to weather look for a new property or instead built our own dream home which we both had talked about for a few years. After consulting with our trusted friends and real estate agent, we were made sure that building was the way to go for us and our need for space and uniquely designed we desired. having many positive and negative feedbacks about construction firms, we asked for a recommendation among our network and more than two of our contacts pointed us to the direction of GTA General Contractors, where we met with Abe. He worked with us, and kept in touch almost daily, in the design stage, and went through many changes of the layout and finishing with us, until we landed at the final dream design, which now worked with our budget, giving us an added confidence. The construction process was extensive, where an existing bungalow we had purchased was removed to make room for our new family home. we visited the property with Abe when each stage completed, where he was more excited than even us to go through and give us a tour of every corner being worked on. There were some challenges and a few minor surprises along the way, for which we had been prepared for at the planning stage, however everytime an issue came up, Abe, Dino the sire manager and the almost there entire team would jump to find a solution and help. Our dream house was completed just at the beginning of this past September, in time for us to change the kid's school to our new lovely area, and we could not be any happier. We literally people stopping by to take pictures of the house and many neighbors still ask to come and see the inside of the house which sparkles with lighting at night. I know this is a bit of a long review, but we owe it to GTA general contractors and Abe, as words can not describe how thankful and happy we are.

Used them for a renovation on my home upon the recommendation from a co-worker. They completed renovation on my basement, 2 bathrooms, living room, entrance way and kitchen. They did a great job. Highly recommend. I really was amazed at the level of care they gave, they never left garbage or dirt lying around. I've dealt with many contractors in my life and it's hard to find contractors who care that much. The workers were great too, really nice people. Great job Bryan & Helen Johnston

I hired GTA General Contractors to help me build a living room extension to the end of my house. Daniel Syrus was very friendly, courteous and most of all professional. Sermet was our project manager and he kept me updated each day. The workers were very prompt and worked hard. There were a few delays and set backs, but nothing that is not expected in a project of this nature. GTA honors their warranty and they will be coming back in the Spring to complete some agreed upon yard/lanscaping work that they could not do until the earth had settled. Overall, I was extremely pleased and the only thing I will say is that you need to be very clear with the architect about what you want and need. GTA insist on using their architect and will even refund 50% of the architect fees towards the construction. So in terms of price, it's a great deal, but she was no where as impressive as the workers and Daniel. In the end, I will be building my 2nd Floor addition in two years or so and I will likely call Daniel again to finish the task. There are a lot of contractors in the city, but you do want to be careful who you use when dealing with a project that is in the 100,000 range. GTA is a solid choice and you won't be disappointed with the final product.

3. We hired GTA General Contractors to design and build a second story addition to our house. They helped us a lot and were extremely courteous and respectful of our home. Their team finished every step of construction on time and within budget. Communication was excellent, as a project coordinator was visiting the site almost every day. This was our first home renovation this big and we just didn't know what to do. Their professionals are extremely knowledgeable and provided us information and advice we needed. They did everything from design to construction and also helped us to acquire building permits from the city. In overall, the experience was outstanding!

The attention to details that GTA General Contractors shows is certainly evident in the final product. The weekly meetings and detailed step-by-step invoices allowed us to see where the budget was spent and made the whole process very transparent. They never exceed our budget, which most of other contractors usually do. Thank you for everything!

I wish I had such a professional contractor before during my previous renovations. Their designer, project manager and the crew were amazing. They were able to handle anything that came up during the remodeling.
