Henry was very responsive to our requests and flexible with any changes we needed. He actively listened to our ideas, offered thoughtful feedback, and made helpful suggestions regarding our design and plant selection. He provided a detailed layout showing how our house is positioned in relation to sun exposure and selected plants that thrive in those conditions. Henry worked diligently to create a design that not only met our needs but also stayed within our budget. Additionally, he ensured our front landscaping complied with County requirements to qualify for the lawn conversion program. We truly appreciated his professionalism and follow-up through the entire process.

Henry and his team did an excellent job on our lawn conversion project. You should hire him to convert your lawn into a beautiful garden! He is an expert in Bay Area native plants and has helped us pass our city requirements to get the rebate. The process is so easy with his help, which significantly reduced our budget!

Henry and his team provided professional design and beautiful construction work for our backyard. Their design team initially contacted us to address our concerns. They gave us two versions of the design package, and the final plan we confirmed drove the whole process. I learned it was made according to the construction norm. The Upscape team did a great job designing and managing the construction; they helped transform our empty yard into a green paradise! We went through several design iterations since we didn't know what to do with it, and we had huge anticipation for our backyard activities and front yard appearance. Henry patiently provided pros and cons to all design options and valuable input moving forward. Their 3D visualization tool was so powerful and efficient that my husband and I could better understand how to proceed since it's very visual. They pulled it off with a final design version that my mom also liked a lot! They are quite professional and knowledgeable. I remember Henry explaining where stormwater goes on our site and how to avoid stormwater from our backyard damaging our house before construction—it's like a secret sauce to us! The construction process was relatively linear, and we didn't see changes during the construction. Overall, we highly recommend hiring them to refresh your exterior space!

Henry is hands down the best landscape designer I've ever worked with. Personally, what truly sets him apart for me are the stunning, full-color drawings he creates. These detailed illustrations, generated by his advanced software, not only show the garden through all its seasonal phases, but also highlight the sun’s path and the resulting shadows. It’s like getting a glimpse of your future garden in every season! Each plant’s location is carefully annotated, so you can visualize the layout and how everything will bloom. The booklet he provided me was an impressive 15 pages long, packed with valuable information.

My husband and I chose Upscape to design our backyard. In the beginning we weren’t sure on what we could do exactly to improve this old backyard. But Henry and his team told us the potential on terraced seating area for our family! From a few Zoom call I feel they always remember our concerns, and they provided reality nice design solution!
