Vermillion Interiors

We hired Hilda Vermillion before we began building our new home. She agreed to help with the interior and exterior design of the house. From the moment we met her, she gave us the confidence to put the project in her hands. She noticed the color scheme of our existing home, our own decorating styles, and made special note of what we hoped to find in a new home. She was never negative nor tried to push her ideas on us. She spent many hours in lighting, tile and flooring stores with us. She watched our reactions to textures and aesthetics, making notes and taking photos. She researched our choices to find the best costs. She explained the differences between stone countertops. She designed a special light fixture for our entryway. And she insisted that the most special feature of the house was incorporated even when we faced doubt it would be a reality. In addition, Hilda helped with exterior choices that maintained the character and quality of the house we wanted without “breaking the bank”. Hilda was always available to confer or answer questions. We held weekly Zoom call meetings to get updates on progress. She was a true problem solver! Working with her was one of the best decisions we made during the building process which took 18 months. We couldn’t have built our home without her!

Hilda has done an awesome job helping us do a whole house remodel. Specifically she has helped us pick out furniture, accessories, light fixtures, paint colors, fabrics, etc. Hilda has taken several trips with us to actually go out and find the items we wanted for our home. On several occasions, Hilda has gone with us to High Point, NC to buy furniture and other items such as rugs and lamps. I know that Hilda has made a huge difference in how our home looks now. I can truly say that we could not have done the remodel without her. She is easy going, professional, and just an all round good person. Hilda also has great style and she will keep you from making costly mistakes. We will definitely use Hilda again if the need arises. I give Hilda my highest recommendation.

We hired Hilda when we moved to the area in 2015 to help us renovate and decorate a 4,000 sq ft suburban home, and again in 2018 when we purchased a 2,000 sq ft lake home. Hilda brings all the design skills and experience you would expect, but also a ferocious approach to protecting her clients and looking out for them - whether that is ensuring we get the best price to double checking contractors' workmanship. Hilda has been a great advocate for us as we have zero experience in this area. She works with us to ensure we have the style we want, but she is also good about steering us away from anything that may be outdated/clashing, etc (ie, she knows when to give some tough love on choices we may regret down the line.) When working with Hilda, we feel more like family than clients as she always goes the extra mile.

Hilda is a designer that truly understands the design process, and that a great designer listens to their client and makes their home beautiful based on their needs and style. She is also one of the most kind, thoughtful, and humble designers I have worked with. I would recommend her for any project you have, and if you want a designer that listens to your needs.

Hilda is a very energetic and creative mind. She designed a beautifully bathroom for our house. Her passion for her work is obvious and she takes charge of the progect. She is familiar with many options when it came to sourcing the materials and saved us on cost. She is also very fun and pleasurable to work with.

Hilda is the best! We had a very challenging job for her and she nailed it - helping us furnish an entire house as we were returning to the US after a long stint overseas. We had picky tastes, budget constraints, and some pretty dated elements of our otherwise wonderful 1977 modern house. She worked with all of it and gave us a unique, personal, and happy home for our young family. She is beyond dedicated, professional, and has a great focus on both the big picture and all the details, and I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Hilda helped us tremendously in the complete remodel of our outdated kitchen. Hilda went well above and beyond the traditional designer roll and wouldn't stop unless she was positive I loved every single thing. The end result is a beautiful kitchen that feels like home while also being fully functional.

Hilde was wonderful. She really listened to what I wanted and provided excellent guidance and advice that helped me immensely. Particularly in choosing paint colors, art placement, and window treatments. I will definitely call on her the next time I need a decorator.

I was searching Houzz.com and found Vermillion Interiors. Hilda Vermillion has a wealth of information and experience in the design business. My husband and I are building a new house in the area. She came to our current home within a few days of contact. Hilda looked at our current furniture, artwork and lamps in order to have a better knowledge of the things we would want to take with us. She also toured our home to get a feel for our style and was very attentive to designs in each room. Hilda was very helpful during the consultation and went beyond my expectations. Hilda shared her ideas with new room colors that would compliment each other. She helped with lighting options, shared information on the importance of rug choices and other design ideas that are extremely important in an open concept house. Our new house is in the beginning stages of being built, so we needed some initial interior design help with wall colors, kitchen cabinets, bathroom tile ideas and granite options, etc. were needing to be addressed. She helped to remove some of the anxiety of a new house built. Hilda was so helpful, and I would definitely recommend her for your upcoming projects!
