I've actually been working with Jimmy Goen of Infinity Design for a few months now on designing and architecting our future home. Normally, that might be a bad thing as most folks are likely under some form of deadline, but in our case we aren't so I appreciate Jimmy's flexibility. However, he and his staff have always been available on my schedule to meet and discuss progress/changes. Jimmy has a nice catalog of existing plans and we actually took the "bones" of one of those and created what amounts to a completely custom plan. Jimmy has always provided a very good mix of professional input and ideas while also incorporating our ideas and thoughts. I lean on his professionalism to push back and make me aware of the implications (whether they be cost, functionality or other) of ideas. At the end of the day he recognizes that it's our house and he offers a great balance. At present we stand a few minor tweaks away from a final set of plans and the feedback from the builders who have had a sneak peak at the plans are that "this guy knows what he's doing" and he's really incorporated some cool custom elements while not over engineering excessive costs. If you are looking for a qualified architect with a catalog of existing plans or want to start from scratch, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Infinity to family, friends or Houzz.com subscribers.

Infinity Design did a wonderful job designing my custom home. They worked very quickly and where very responsive to my request. I was able to maintain my schedule because of Infinity Design's quick turn around process.
