My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

About Us

I have led projects in places as diverse as both coasts of the US, Aspen, Guam and Cairo, over the last 30 years. Locally, I’ve completed projects as far north in the Bay Area as Sea Ranch and as far south as Los Altos. Our office is located in Orinda; we have done many projects in the Lamorinda area. Our repeat client base includes Fortune 500 CEOs, technology entrepreneurs, college presidents and many others who appreciate the value and quality of our design and project management expertise. From traditional design to cutting edge contemporary design, we bring fresh ideas, a sense of adventure and a refined aesthetic to every project. Jan Gunn, the principal, served on the Board of Directors of Northern California ASID from 2004 - 2007.

Recently I had the pleasure of working with Jan Gunn on a 1920s residence in Piedmont. I can't recommend Jan Gunn highly enough. She is the perfect blend of talent, professionalism and personality. Jan helped steer us in the right direction in our remodel that ended up saving us a significant amount and skillfully pulled our decorating choices together to create the perfect blend of style and color. My husband and I would have been lost without her guidance. Jan is truly a joy to work with and does an amazing job of taking stress out of remodeling and make it a fun, rewarding experience!

Commented: Tile back splash color?It is a eucalyptus green. The tile is from Walker Zanger. It matches the costa esmeralda granite.

Commented: For a stainless steel powder room sink, ...I would match the counter top. In this instance I used a biscuit color.

Commented: love the color on wall. any clue which c...this is Venetian Plaster. It is a plaster mix that has several colors of paint put in the mix. Upon close inspection, one can see color variations.
