We had the pleasure of working with Jim on the renovation of a home in Winchester that had originally been designed by our architectural firm back in the '90s. His professionalism and team spirit made the process enjoyable. We look forward to working with Jim and his company again in the near future.

Jim is really a cut above when it comes to General Contractors. We work for many, and I don't think I've worked for another contractor who is as committed to finding the best possible outcome for whatever project he takes on. If you are in the Winchester area and need some renovation work done, Jim is definitely the guy to call.

We just completed interior and exterior work on our home with Jim Sullivan and his crew from RJames Renovations. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. We had significant water damage inside and out from ice dams, not to mention damage from a tree that fell on the house. Jim is the most knowledgable contractor that we have ever had the pleasure of working with. He took considerable care in assessing the issues (and deficiencies) with our home which was built in 1888. Then, Jim carefully and thoughtfully structured a plan to drastically improve our situation. In addition to being incredibly knowledgable, Jim is thorough and patient. Jim only works with subcontractors who meet his high standards, and that is why we really enjoyed having workers in our house for a few months. I highly recommend RJames Renovations!

Jim Sullivan and his crew did a total bathroom rehab for me last March while I was in Florida. I felt perfectly comfortable having them in my home during my absence because I know that Jim employs people of the highest standard of integrity and workmanship, like himself. My job was done beautifully when I returned, including a few clever additions Jim had suggested. Even though they had carefully sealed off the work area, some dust had escaped so Jim sent a crew to clean my entire unit. I recommend RJames Renovations enthusiastically and wholeheartedly. You can't do better than Jim and his crew.

I am someone who isn't happy unless I have some kind of project in the works, and have used R. James many times over the past 5 years in two different houses on everything ranging from complete gut rehabs of bathrooms to re-siding a shingle style roof to installing new doors to the (upcoming) construction of a new front porch. First and foremost, they are true craftsmen and take a great amount of pride in the quality of their work. If something isn't up to their standards, they fix it (even if you might not have noticed the minor imperfections in the first place). The last bathroom project they did for me required them to level an incredibly slanted floor that a previous owner had addressed by having two separate levels in the same bathroom. It required a ton of work with a meticulous attention to detail -- and now you would never know that there was ever an issue. Second and perhaps even more importantly, they are just really good people. Even for someone who likes to renovate their house, having work done in a home you are living in can be really disruptive -- but the R. James team does everything they can to minimize the inconvenience. They clean up every day, to the point that I am pretty sure my house gets vacuumed more when they are there than when they are not. They are friendly, interesting and considerate. Jim even cleaned up after my dog, who got sick in his crate one day when they were there -- if that isn't going above and beyond the call, I don't know what is! I am sure that I will do many more projects over the years, and am equally sure that I will call R. James every time!

I hired Jim and team to renovate kitchen and 3 bathrooms. I was extremely pleased with the quality of their work and their work ethic. Any deviations from our original plan and budget were discussed and I was always given options. It's been 6 years now since my renovation, and to this day I look around my house and I thank RJames for their high standards and workmanship. I would (and have) refer them to my best friends.
