CREAM CITY CONSTRUCTION

My husband and I hired Cream City Construction to completely renovate our 1920s kitchen and back entryway. It would be an understatement to say that we are completely thrilled with our new kitchen and entryway. When Jim came over to first take a look at our space, he told us not to shove things in drawers or closets. He wanted us to let him see how we honestly used our unrenovated kitchen every day. At the time, I was thoroughly embarrassed by all of our clutter, but it immediately went away when Jim showed us the drawings for our new space at the second design meeting. He took the struggles we told him we were having (plus the ones he saw we were having) and gave us drawings that reflected kitchen dreams that we didn't even know we had. A built-in pantry, additional under-island storage, an extra large sink so dishes aren't piled up - Jim completely knocked the design out of the park, and then coordinated with his team to bring his drawings to life. I work with construction clients as part of my legal practice and am no stranger to home renovations. Despite the extensive nature of the renovations needed (including removal of a concrete subfloor!), it was the most seamless project I have ever experienced. Jim and his team were consummate professionals throughout the process, promptly answered questions, and provided us with frequent updates. They even delivered ahead of schedule! We will definitely be using Jim and his team for all of our future renovations - I couldn't recommend anyone more highly.

I hired Cream City Construction to design and manage construction for a new kitchen in my Wauwatosa bungalow. Throughout the process, Jim and the team were responsive to my questions and requests. They managed all of the trades, resolved issues, and constantly communicated progress to ensure my project was completed within budget and within the project timeline. We had Cream City remodel our main bathroom, as well as a small guest bathroom. We love the final results! Both bathrooms look beautiful and we’ve received numerous compliments. We recently used Cream City Construction for a bathroom update in our 1936 colonial home. Before meeting with Jim, we thought we would have to gut the bathroom to get everything we wanted, which I was having a hard time with. We liked the floor, bathtub and tile and really didn’t want to get rid of it. After meeting with Jim, he felt confident we could keep everything we wanted and still get everything we were hoping for. From start to finish, the project went very smoothly. The communication was great from both Jim and Todd. The contractors were friendly and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. The project came in under the original quoted price and we couldn’t be happier with the finished bathroom. It is both beautiful and functional. We would work with Cream City Construction again in a heartbeat.

We used Cream City Construction to remodel the kitchen of our 1920s home. Working within the original footprint, they gave us a fantastic updated look that added space and beneficial features. Jim and his team kept us updated on the construction and delivered on time and on budget. Their subs were all professional, courteous, and provided quality workmanship. We would use Cream City in the future and would recommend using Cream City for any renovation project!

We have used Cream City Construction repeatedly since 2000 for a wide variety of remodeling needs, both large and small. Projects have included a complete Kitchen renovation, 2 bathroom renovations, a front porch replacement, a "hidden" TV installation, and a mud room remodel that included a custom designed shoe closet, door replacement and flat roof replacement. In all of our interactions with Cream City, we have been consistently impressed with their ability to create designs that fit perfectly into our 1920s era Tudor home and then complete high quality construction work with an incredible attention to detail. When unexpected challenges come up (as can be expected when dealing with a 100 year old home), they have been great at solving problems while keeping us well informed along the way. We have have been so happy with their work over the years that we have contracted with them again, this time to remodel our master bedroom.

We hired Cream City Construction to design/build a fairly sizable kitchen and powder room gut-remodel project in our 1920s Shorewood home. Jim and the team were great to work with and kept us up to date on progress/schedule throughout the lifecycle of the project. Finished product was outstanding and we couldn’t be happier. Their subs were also excellent; courteous, friendly, reliable, and punctual. Would recommend to others and will likely use CCC for our next major project.

We really enjoyed working with Cream City Construction on our kitchen remodel. They did a great job communicating with us before and during the project. Before the start of the project, they presented us with a week by week schedule, which was maintained until almost the very end (when the holiday season pushed back the planned completion date by a few days). They promptly responded to our questions and concerns, and made sure that we understood what was going on and that we were happy with the work. The workmanship displayed by their subcontractors was outstanding, drawing high praise from our designer. The village inspections of the work passed with no problems. We would happily use Cream City again for future renovation projects.

I would highly recommend CCC to anyone looking for quality build/remodeling. they were very professional, receptive to our input and gave courteous feedback based on their experience when appropriate. they also were very easy to communicate with and were prompt with their responses even for very small questions. most importantly, they were very organized and kept to their planned schedule, even when there were setback/scheduling issues from subcontractors, which is extremely common. based on our previous experiences with other remodelers and from other experiences we have heard from friends, this is extremely rare in the build/remodeling business. in hindsight, we wish we would have used them for all of our previous remodel projects and will definitely use CCC for any future projects.

Cream City Construction did an excellent job with our Bathroom remodel. Both owners are very professional, well organized, detail oriented that will always make sure you are beyond satisfied with the project. They diligently manage and present professional sub contractors and make sure they are completing their jobs on time and with the highest quality. If there were surprises or concerns, they worked with with us for quick resolution that satisfied our needs both in cost and quality. The quality of the work, the professionalism and dedication to our project is why we would definitely recommend Cream City Construction and use them in our next remodel.
