The Gall Group: Design | Build | Remodel

We hired The Gall Group to remodel our home prior to moving in. The kitchen was gutted and the layout was reconfigured, making it a much more efficient use of space. We also renovated a secondary bathroom, extended wood flooring, updated electrical and light fixtures and completed trim work throughout the house. We were on a tight timeline and were pleased that they met the construction timeline and with the quality of the work. We absolutely love our new kitchen and we highly recommend John and The Gall Group!

John Gall met with us for an initial walk through and scope of work discussion, made suggestions and gave expert advice about how to modernize our home, submitted a fair bid, answered all of our questions then and along the way, and created and flawlessly executed a plan that left us with a brand new dream home inside of our old house - with no delays! John Gall clearly has very high standards for himself and everyone who works for and with him. We could not be happier with both the process and the results! From planning stages through change orders to punch list, John was our single point of contact other than Dawn Gall with DG Designs, who designed our new gorgeous interior (we are so happy we worked with Dawn, her taste is impeccable and it was like having a friend who knows exactly what to do to make everything just perfect.) John was on the job site daily to personally manage the project, and it shows. We appreciated his clear, accurate and precise communication on bid process, work schedule, change orders, payments, and progress. John is kind and easy to work with and it shows by the caliber of people on his team. They respect him and give their best work - the results are second to none with no attention to detail spared. From demolition to plumbing, electrical, carpentry and cabinets, countertops, wood floor installation/refinishing and painting, doors and windows, our house went from “badly in need of an update” to “modern, fresh, beautiful…. absolutely stunning!” Gall Group made it fun, it was finished on time, and we never had to worry about a thing.

We couldn’t have been more pleased working with The Gall Group. Dawn was a delight to work with- she was extremely experienced, her design knowledge was extensive as was her product knowledge. Importantly for us, she was very organized and her communications were always prompt. She achieved exactly what we wanted - a comfortable, sophisticated look to our home within our budget. John did an exceptional job for us! We did an extensive remodel of a home we had just purchased (every room and outside too), so some of it was a "discover things as you go" kind of project, and John was very helpful with this. He suggested things and noticed things that we would not have thought of. It turned out great! A pleasure to work with and his contractors were top notch. Very impressive and high quality work. We absolutely love how it all turned out!

We are beyond thrilled with the total transformation of our home.... John Gall and his whole crew worked tirelessly to make every detail exactly the way we envisioned it. We are perfectionists and which made John Gall the right fit for us! We had our entire house done (5 bathrooms and kitchen) redesigned and remodeled. John had some really great ideas to make our home more modern with an improved flow and was also conscientious of the price point we were working within. His crew were all hard working professionals who were very trustworthy. The best thing about John is his calm approach and willingness to expand & collaborate on the home owners ideas & make them a reality. John was very hands on coming to our project daily & he always answered the phone when we called. We definitely felt like a priority. When the job was complete, the clean up was thorough and done right.

WOW! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.... After a recent not so five star experience with another contractor, we hired John for our next step in our home renovation and he did not disappoint. The job demo was done very professionally and SUPER clean (huge change from our previous experience with the other contractor). The construction itself was done with high craftsmanship and detail. You can tell that John's subs respect him and hold him in high regard and they were respectful and kind to us. John himself was at the job site almost daily even if just for a quick check in. He was always available through texts and calls throughout our timeline and the finished product was incredible. We felt that John's pricing was fair and reasonable while not the lowest (which lowest pricing is always a red flag for us). John also has the perfect demeanor for this job. He is always even keel and nothing rattles him - even us -when we stressed about little things that come up in the process. Simply put, our master suite and closet could be in a magazine. We have already recommended John to friends and we would never use another contractor for future projects of our own.

We've used John and Dawn Gall for multiple projects and they do an incredible job. Dawn is great at adapting to your personal style and working with John to make sure everything comes out as planned. We really appreciate John remodeling our master closet after it flooded during the Winter storm last February, all while he was already working on our kitchen and upstairs projects. COVID has been a challenge for securing appliances and people, but John did a great job managing it all. Thanks for everything John & Dawn!

John Gall was one of 3 general contractors we contacted to bid on what we felt were major renovations to a home we purchased. Renovations included new wood floors throughout, remodel of bathrooms, remodel of kitchen including custom wood cabinets, custom framing of an exterior wall with new windows, and lots of lighting, electrical and plumbing work. John’s bid was competitive and he was the most thorough in his bid write up. His bid was favorably different compared to the other contractors because he estimated what we asked for rather than bidding on what he felt like needed to be done as the other contractors did. My wife handled most of the interaction with John and she was pleased with his approach and ideas. He was creative when solving problems in economical ways that looked good. John also made decisions easy when choices seemed overwhelming. I feel there will always be unforeseen issues that are easy for folks to place blame on contractors regardless of who you choose, so rather than offer a criticism of the problem encountered it’s better to make sure you have a partner you feel you can work through the problem with. In that sense, we would gladly partner with John on any sized project.

We’ve had two projects where we used the Gall Group. The first one was an extensive renovation. It’s clearly more than a remodel when you’re tearing down exterior walls and completely changing the look and size of your home! John’s finish work and follow up are both excellent and the end result was pretty much a new home that was the talk of the neighborhood! The second project involved replacing all exterior windows and doing some additional “odds and ends” type work. Both were well done and, when some difficulties arose due to some untimely rains, John saw the corrections through till they were completed satisfactorily. I would highly recommend John and we will use him again.
