Johnson Renovations

Johnson Renovations just finished the second project for my house. Both were complete bathroom remodel. The first was maybe five years ago. For both they stripped the the rooms down to the framing including the floors and the rebuilt according to the plans we jointly produced. The latest bathroom included converting tub to shower, rewiring, electrical including lighting and floor heating and custom cabinetry. We couldn't be happier with the workmanship. They were very responsive to change requests. There was some damage to a custom lighted cabinet and Johnson Renovations replaced the whole unit at no additional charge. Tile work was exceptional.

Johnson Renovations recently completed a project on our tired and outdated master bathroom and closet. The outcome was amazing. Very beautiful! Tim Johnson is a very experienced contractor with incredible vision as how to remodel spaces. He is very attentive to detail. Kay his designer was very helpful in guiding us through the design process. She has wonderful taste. All of the subcontractors were very professional and their craftsmanship was immaculate. All in all we were very pleased and look forward to another project in our home in the future.

Johnson Renovations was a great company for our bathroom remodel and expansion. Everyone was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire project! Tim is an excellent GM, who was a pleasure to work with - very knowledgeable, personable, and really listened to what we wanted and needed, while keeping functionality a goal which was very important to us. Kay, his designer, was great keeping us on track on what we needed to pick out and when, so we were not overwhelmed! Kay is so easy to work with and was great in helping us stay focused on our overall goal. Tim and Kay were always patient and helpful with our questions, especially during any changes I wanted or thought I wanted. They were always very calming throughout the whole process, which I needed His daughter, Tie, was a delight and great liaison between us, the vendors, and management to keep everyone updated and on track! All of his crews were very respectful, nice, and even took the time to answer any questions I had. They also were very conscious of not disrupting us or areas of the house and cleaned up every day before they left. We were delighted and very pleased with Tim and his team completing our bathroom expansion and remodel! Their expertise from the quality of their work and skills to the caring for their clients satisfaction is impeccable. We will definitely have them on any projects going forward and happy to recommend their services to anyone considering home renovations.

We had an outstanding customer service experience with Johnson Renovations. From the very beginning, their team made our 1970s bathroom remodel feel effortless and exciting. What could have been a stressful project turned into a true partnership. Kay provided exceptional guidance throughout the entire process. She walked us through every choice—tile, faucets, paint, layout—with patience, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help us create something beautiful. Her support made every decision feel informed and confident. The craftsmanship from Tim’s team was equally impressive. Every person who came into our home was friendly, respectful, and meticulous in their work. They listened closely to our needs, offered thoughtful suggestions, and even customized details like light‑switch placement to fit our daily routines. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality were clear at every step. A small but meaningful touch: they were wonderfully kind to our four dogs, who took it upon themselves to supervise all comings and goings. That level of care says a lot about the team. Johnson Renovations exceeded our expectations in both service and results. We’re thrilled with our new mid‑century modern bathroom, and we look forward to working with Tim, Kay, and the entire team again on future projects. They’ve absolutely earned our trust.

Tim Johnson and his team of trades people are terrific and I will be using them for all future projects.

Tim and his team are great to work with. I really enjoyed collaborating on the design and working with his skilled tradesman at each step to realize my vision.

If you want a reno company that is personal and thinks outside of the box, Johnson Renovations is for you. When Tim and Karen walk into your home, they are not only very professional and friendly, but they will give you ideas you may have not even thought of. Their painter David is very meticulous. We are so happy with our kitchen reno and how it is now one of the coziest places in our home. Thank you Johnson Renovations for giving us the kitchen of our dreams and a new mantle.

Johnson Renovations is a family run business. They renovated my entire kitchen down to the studs, and did wood flooring in my entire house. Tim Johnson is awesome and very good at what he does. He is also lucky to have such an amazing crew supporting him. From Pepe to Andre to Jorge to Joel to Havier...they all felt like family at the end of the job. Anything you can dream, they will figure out a way to make it happen. My only constructive criticism is the job did take about a month longer than originally estimated although there were some minor changes to the original scope. Additionally, communication could be improved as several days we had no idea who was coming or what time. It didn't really matter much as I work from home but would of liked to be more in the loop on scheduling. Overall I was extremely pleased at how my vision came to life and their prices were extremely reasonable

10 Stars!!! Tim brings together a talented group of contractors that feel like an extension of Tim. Talented, polite, courteous, hardworking and really good at their crafts. I highly recommend them for home renovations or any project, they can do it all. Finished up with phase 1 and will be doing phase 2 soon with Tim and his team.

Tim and crew were awesome! If I could give higher than a 5 star, I would. We remodeled our master bath, kids bath, and kitchen - moving our laundry room so that we could have a bigger kitchen. They were so flexible and helpful when we ran into foundation issues and sewage issues - which both put our remodeling on hold until those were fixed. Everyone who worked on our house, tear out, plumbing, electrical, cabinets, paint, and touch up were nice and professional and excellent in their area. Kay was great in helping picking out countertops/tile/flooring/paint/etc. Could not have been happier with the result. For the master bathroom, we completely changed the layout of the closets and bathroom. They worked out a plan with our huge existing windows that were incorporated into the shower (replacing a tub that was never used). And created custom cabinets in the new his/hers closets. For the kitchen, they moved the laundry room and replaced our kitchen nook (also rarely used) with a huge island that has comfortable seating for 6. The best part of the kitchen is the appliance area which can be closed to hide any mess - but when open is amazing. Basically, I gave them multiple Pinterest pictures of everything I wanted in a kitchen, and they delivered on all of it - and even more. I can't describe how much I love our new kitchen. Highly recommend Tim and team.

We spoke to several contractors before choosing Johnson Renovations. We are so happy with the remodeling they did for us. They remodeled our primary bath, hall bath and kitchen. They also helped us get our fireplace surround updated to a beautiful porcelain.. Tim and Kay are great to work with, as is all of Tim's crew and staff. Tim and Kay both had great ideas and helped us create the right designs for our house. Tim and Kay and the crew and staff all worked consistently, and all are problem solvers when changes needed to be made. We enjoyed getting to know all of them!

We highly recommend Johnson Renovations! They did an incredible job giving me the magazine worthy kitchen and butlers pantry of my dreams! The craftsmanship and quality of work is superb! Tim is fantastic and you can tell how much he cares about each project, just as he does about the experts on his team. Most importantly they remained true to our original budget and we will definitely be using them again to complete other projects in our home.

We had outstanding service from all the professionals at Johnson Renovations. We are very pleased with our bathroom remodel. Both the design and functionality are excellent. We found the team to be knowledgeable, courteous, and flexible. We plan on using them again for future projects.

We have been working with Karen for 6 years. She is excellent and works so hard to make a dream home come true.

Johnson Renovations is one of the best in the business. I’ve had the opportunity to meet their designer Kay and she’s very great at what she does as well as building client relationships.

Johnson Renovations are amazing! Extremely detail oriented, organized, and the best in the industry to work with. I absolutely adore working with Kay and have always felt that the process is streamlined and made easier by her diligence and transparent communication.

We had a great experience with Johnson Renovations remodeling our kitchen. From start to finish they were thorough and responsive to our questions. We absolutely love our new kitchen and highly recommend Johnson Renovations for your next remodel!

We hired Johnson Renovation for a significant kitchen/living room remodel after talking to what felt like 100 contractors. Our experience was greater than 5 stars- they listened, were attentive and provided updated communication. When we encountered issues, Tim always came with a solution. We loved having Kay to help with design decisions. Our project stayed on budget and schedule. We’re already planning our next project… and this time only one call! Check out the before and after photos of their work on our project.

You will NOT find a better team than the guys at Johnson Renovations!!! Hands down, the best of the best. From the moment we met Kay and Tim, we knew wanted to work with them. We consider ourselves lucky to have be able to have do so. They gave us the house of our dreams. Beyond our dreams even. They did almost our entire home (removing popcorn ceilings, new baseboards, paint throughout, full bathroom gut and remodel, fixing bad areas around the house, an entire kitchen gut and remodel, new fireplace, new flooring...you name it, they did it). And not only did they do an amazing job, they did so quickly and on budget. Speaking of budget, they are so conscious of your money and keeping their costs as tight as possible while delivering the best work. They truly love what they do and it shows. Tim is unlike anyone you'll ever meet. The kindest, hardest working man who is a perfectionist when it comes to the work him and his team do. He's so knowledgable about all things home remodel. I have crazy high standards and they never let me down. Kay, Tie, Pepe, Javier...the entire team has become family and I'm almost sad they won't be in my house everyday anymore! We'll never use another company again and can't wait for the next project we get to tackle with Johnson Renovations. Hire them!! You will not regret it!!!

Excellent communications, great trades (both in personality and skill!), and super responsive to our concerns and last minute changes! Project: Renovate the narrow guest bath by replacing shower/tub with walk in shower, take down bulkheads over shower and sink, retile floor, and replace counter and sink. Our kitchen was renovated by another business in 2022, and while the end result looked great and most of their trades were good to work with, this bathroom remodel by Johnson Renovations was a better experience. We loved having designer Kay McGrael to help us pick fixtures and finishes - we really have no design sense, just an "I know what I DON'T like" vision, so we were so happy to have her take us out to choose tile, fixtures, shower glass and countertops. The project moved along quickly, and we were regularly updated about who was coming when without prompting. Tim and his project manager came out regularly to check progress, and also when my husband wanted to discuss how something had been done. Everything was resolved to our satisfaction - even when I told the electrician to do one thing and then changed my mind 15 mins after he left! All the trades who came in were friendly, respectful, and careful of our house. Best of all, everyone at Johnson Renovations are funny, friendly and just a joy to have working at our house!

My husband and I set out to renovate our entire home. It was a huge job and we interviewed many contractors. We picked Tim Johnson because of his attention to our wants and needs while also suggesting even better ways to do what we wanted. He is very detailed and ensures everything is done correctly. The project took many months, but Tim was communicative and listened when we had questions or were concerned about the process. He truly turned our outdated house to a beautiful home that we never want to leave! Kay was a tremendous help and kept us moving along. She is a true asset to the team. Thanks Tim and Kay! The Tim Johnson team is amazing and is always willing to go the extra mile. I have so many favorites but will share the top 2! Master bath and Kitchen.

When you hire a contractor for work in your home, you want to know you can trust them to have people who can do the job correctly and to your standards; to know they will be attentive to your concerns and available to respond, not only when the job starts but as the job progresses to completion. We hired Johnson Renovations to completely demolish and renovate (plumbing, electrical, tiling, painting, custom cabinetry) our dated, tired and crowded bathroom. Tim Johnson and his assistant Karen Mcgrael helped us make decisions that would give us the bath we wanted without the trremendous effort of trying to do it ourselves. We found Johnson Renovations to be trustworthy and skilled at getting the right people to complete our bathroom, with as little disruption to the rest of the house as possible. They were consistent in communication and faithful to quotes.

I think we met with 10 to 15 renovations company when we met Tim and Karen. It was like having lunch with an old college buddy. From start to finish our 2 story 620 SQFT addition has been on time, on budget and exceeded expectations. Tim has a team of professionals that he trusts and so will you. Thank you Tim and Karen for helping us build our dream project.

We talk to about 8 different contractors and design people before we chose Johnson Renovations. Tim and Karen were wonderful to work with and very good at adjusting to changes or challenges. We got our dream master bath and bedroom on the timetable they projected and on budget too! We will be working with them on future projects soon!

Tim and Karen are fantastic. Karen really helped create a beautiful new kitchen and bathrooms that continued to flow with honored my existing style. Tim does great work and really listens to my concerns. The final product is beautiful!

I’ve used Johnson Renovations for multiple projects and they have always done such a fantastic job! I highly recommend working with them, you won’t be disappointed.

Johnson Renovations remodeled 2 bathrooms for us. Tim and his crew did a marvelous job! They were hard workers and their craftsmanship was superb. We would not hesitate to call on them again for any job large or small. Very deserving of the 5 star rating We gave them!

What a great experience! Tim and the team at Johnson Renovations were able to bring my vision of a home corner bar to life. Tim did a fantastic job ensuring that the project moved at smoothly as possible. I had an issue with a major cabinet piece and Tim did not hesitate to take it back and make it the way I really wanted. His team members, especially Pepe, are experts who think through all the details. Thank you!

Johnson Renovations has made my dream Kitchen, Living area and Laundry room come to life. Being an Interior Design minor I had some knowledge of what I wanted and spelled it all out for Johnson Renovation along with our budget. Surpassing my budget the overall experience working with the polite and professional crew and vendors, we are over the moon pleased with such a job well done. All of our boxes were checked from timeliness to communication of what was to be expected from week to week. Suggested materials, decor and knowledge thereof have all been satisfactory. While in the midst of a worldly pandemic, all precautionary measures were taken as well as matters of privacy as I worked remote throughout the entire project. Johnson Renovation has a new found customer for life.

Johnson Renovations remodeled two investment properties for me and did an excellent job. Tim Johnson, the project manager and owner, along with his project designer and sub contractors are an elite team that gets your project done quickly and to perfection. I highly recommend this company for any job you may have, large or small.

Johnson Renovations did two baths, laundry and dressing area, hall and stairway for us. We are extremely pleased with all aspects of the project. Tim Johnson and Karen, his designer are very professional. Both are patient and anxious to make everything meet the client's approval. We recommend Johnson Renovations without reservation.

We completed a whole interior renovation of our home including complete removal/renovation of the kitchen and both bathrooms. We had a general idea of what we wanted and the look, and Johnson Renovations really worked with us, giving us suggestions/ideas to ensure we were happy with what was done and that the look flowed throughout the house, while working hard to keep everything we wanted within our budget. Their attention to detail is excellent and we are more than happy with the finished renovation. We feel it came out even better than we could have expected and that the money spent was well worth it with no regrets. A year later, there is nothing we would change and are just as happy with the renovation as the day it was finished.

Talk about finding the right man for the job. Mr. Johnson just simply transform your house making it a dream come true. I can not put it into words what Johnson renovations can do. Nothing was left undone and every Sqft of the houses was done with excellent workmanship. I just thank you for expertise and professionalism. Most of all I am happy that you can be trusted.

Tim and his team are always professional and do a wonderful job keeping the jobsite clean before departure. We appreciate Tim's transparency and has never lead us astray in his consolations or quotes.

Tim and Karen were more than anxious to get our house back in good shape after we had a broken water pipe. They went out of their way to provide us with a full description of every step they would do in the process of restoring our house to full functionality. We are supremely satisfied with the results, and will definitely call on them again if the need or desire arises again. Jim Morris, Rowlett, tx

Johnson's Renovations is absolutely the best! Their whole team from design to construction is professional and efficient. I'm so glad I chose to partner with them on all my remodel projects. One thing that makes them stand out above the rest is the quality of their work it's unmatched! Thanks guys!

We are very pleased with the work Johnson Renovations did at our house during the month of June. From start to finish everything went according to schedule. We were most appreciative of the ease in communicating with Mr. Johnson and his responsiveness in returning texts and phone calls. A great thing for us, also, was that "they came when they said they would come." Tim's associate, Karen McGrael, was very helpful with her expertise in design ideas and product selection.

It was a pleasure going through the remodeling of the kitchen with Tim and Karen. Tim scheduled the stages so that I would not be without a sink for longer than necessary. His tile man and other helpers were polite and did a good job. They were on time and kept the project moving along. Karen selected the counter material, backsplash, sink and hardware. Listened to what I had in mind. Brought over two selections of each and all I had to do was chose one. We are very satisfied and would definitely use Tim again.

Our projects with Tim were executed wonderfully with the utmost professionalism and poise. He ensured that we were well-informed every step of the way, even when we changed courses along the way, he made nothing impossible. He integrated our design ideas with his knowledge to create a masterful finished product that far exceeds our expectations.

I highly recommend Johnson Renovations! Tim and his designer Karen were exceptional to work with. He provided a detailed bid, delivered on time and as promised and his workers kept the work area clean (during the job and before they left each day). The job was completed right on schedule and they made every effort to ensure that I was completely satisfied with every aspect.
