If you hire Juana Gomez, you will not be disappointed! Juana is patient, professional, and an astute listener. We were not exactly sure what we wanted but as we described various looks, and designs, and reviewed multiple Houzz "I like this look" pictures, Juana was able to extrapolate and compile a vision that we love. Our building process was longer than anticipated due to the City's changing requirements during COVID and our continually expanding scope of the project, but we were fortunate to have an architect who is well-versed in permitting applications and processes and knows Boulder extremely well. We found our builder through her and it was a perfect fit for us as a team! I can't say enough about Juana's talent as an architect and her graciousness --- she now is our friend for life! :)

We worked with Architect Juana Gomez on our home remodeling project to improve curb appeal, solve structural issues, improve energy efficiency, improve lighting and remodel dated interior spaces. We reached out to Juana Gomez after first developing the concept for our major home remodel and validating the budget. She looked at the drawings and listened carefully to our ideas and objectives. Juana proposed a sensible process and we agreed to work together. She prepared a number of enhanced drawings for discussion and review (including a number of clever design enhancements), drafted the detailed construction drawings and other documents needed for permit submission, guided it through the City of Boulder permit process, and received approval for us on the first round and on schedule. She was pleasant to work with, professional in all aspects and a good listener. Not only did she have the big picture "vision", she could drill down to the details, collaborate with our engineer, and solve tricky problems. Her understanding of the City of Boulder building office practices and staff was exceptional. We couldn't have been happier with our experience working with Juana and have subsequently highly recommended her to others.

Juana helped us replace our conventional, enclosed, carpeted stairs with a steel and oak, open-riser, mono-stringer stairway. The result was a dramatic, modern, architectural element and we love it! When questions or problems arose, Juana was always available with advice and pragmatic solutions. We will use her services again and recommend her highly!

I worked with Juana Gomez on those projects and before I start photographing I like to hear the story about the project and to learn about the design details. Juana is a good listener when it comes to client's ideas and visions and she is great in explaining all the thoughts that were put into a project and how eventually the vision of their clients was put into aesthetically pleasing and practical designs. Juana went above and beyond on this project. For a homeowner like me who’s never done a colossal renovation like this, she guided me from the beginning to the end. We met weekly to design, to get the City to issue the permit, to select stone fixture & hardwardware, etc. and mostly importantly, to solve issues/problems and to watch our budget spending. She demonstrated she’s very competent. Her kindness and dedication to this project truly show her professionalism. My gigantic gourmet kitchen, hall bath, master suite and bath are just fabulous. Juana is a true professional with a friendly touch. She picked-up on some of my challenges in choosing designs and was very good at guiding me without telling me directly what to decide. Juana is always punctual and she runs a tight ship - expecting everyone else on the job to be equally punctual. Juana would answer every questions or immediately go do the necessary research if she didn't have an answer. I think my favorite thing about Juana is her rapport with the construction crew working on my house. She mostly knows workers by their first names and would treat everyone with equal respect. In turn, I believe the crew wants to give her their best efforts. I also like that Juana stays with her projects through the entire building process - even keeping track of the final "punch-list" and making certain there are no oversights. She has an eye for perfection. It has truly been a pleasure working with Juana on our home remodel.
