We hired Karla to help us with the design selections for the main floor renovation of our home. This renovation encompassed a completely new kitchen, new master ensuite bathroom, removal of interior walls, painting the main floor, re-staining the existing hardwood floors, new entrance tiles, and new counters, mirrors and fixtures in 4 bathrooms. The renovation team included Karla for design selections and recommendations, our kitchen designer, and an independent contractor responsible for executing the design changes. Initially, Karla did a walk-through with us to understand our vision and the things that we wanted to retain and the things we wanted to change. She made recommendations on the elements in the house that we could consider updating in the renovation process. Karla was instrumental in helping us finalize a few design changes for the kitchen, selection of the cabinet color, recommendation and selection of the backsplash tile & grout color, granite for the counters and kitchen fixtures. She helped us solve the challenge of the bay window in the kitchen. She also made recommendations on paint and trim color, area carpet, window treatments, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, floor tiles for entrances, tiles for the master ensuite, and placement of a free standing tub and shower. Karla is very personable and down to earth. She is respectful and understands how to work with people to understand their taste and style. We are really happy with all the recommendations she made and her involvement in the process. She worked well with the rest of the team and stayed within the budget parameters that we set. The end result surpassed our expectations. We highly recommend Karla for any interior design challenges you have, big or small. We will definitely involve Karla in any future design or renovation projects we have.

Karla and I have worked together over many years and she has always been a good listener and tries to find solutions that will work for me and my budget. Downsized to a 1,400 sq ft badly neglected townhouse. Karla reviewed with us what should be done, room by room- new flooring throughout, new paint + trim, 3 bathrooms gutted & re-built, new kitchen, added storage space to the basement,. Gave us a quite accurate budget for the entire scope (within 10%). She helped us with all the finishing touches - colours, wall covering furniture placement. We worked with Karla to update our home through choosing new paint colours throughout our home as well as new furniture in our dining, great and bonus rooms. Karla was easy to work with and understood the change we were looking for while keeping many of our favourite items in our home. She suggested furniture that fit with our busy household as well as the look we wanted. Karla was always available to talk through choices and is just fun to work with. Karla was the creative genius behind our September 2016 wedding and we are incredibly grateful for her willingness to apply her talents in a temporary space. Going in we had a vague idea of what we wanted to do with our "blank canvas" reception venue. We found Karla's collaborative approach to conceptualizing the event space so helpful and a lot of fun. She took our desire for an intimate living room vibe and something reminiscent of an English garden party and went above and beyond to create a stunning space that seamlessly combined these attributes. Throughout the planning process, Karla was always ready with decor ideas, advice regarding vendors, and tips for economizing. Karla was also quick to respond to any questions we had. With every attention to detail, Karla went above and beyond what we imagined was possible in the space. On the day Karla and her team ensured we had nothing to do except enjoy the party. Along with our guests we were completely blown away by everything from the gorgeous floor-to-ceiling floral vignette in the entryway to the vintage tea cups and comfy living room furniture.
