I worked with Kate Jackson to redecorate multiple rooms in my house. We started with the living room and eventually moved into a sitting room, the dining room and two bathrooms. Kate has great taste and is a pleasure to work with. She picked out the furniture, and also picked up all of the accessories for each room. These details really tied each room together. Our house looks significantly better and whenever we have guests over they comment on the improvements. She took our budget into account, and never pressured us to buy more expensive things than we wanted. I'm looking to working with Kate on more projects!

Kate is a warm person. Undoubtedly she is likeable and for that I give her a star. Her business practices are poor - she lacks attention to detail, is disorganized and does not take accountability for her mistakes. If you're someone like me who wants a clear understanding of the textiles you select for your home (durability, cleanability, etc) then Kate Jackson Design is not for you.

Comment from Kate Jackson Design:

While I did present this client with "indoor outdoor" fabric options for furniture, she decided instead on one that was a mix of natural and synthetic fibers. Many clients have used this same fabric.

I cannot assume responsibility for spit up and staining on any fabric, as even indoor outdoor fabric is not "stain-proof".

Perhaps in the future, a darker color fabric used for furnishings would be advantageous.

Kate went above and beyond in decorating our newly built home. She was here for delivery of every piece. She was open to our taste and our home is perfect. She is respectful and fun, and her taste is exquisite. Five years later everything still looks fresh and up to date.

Comprehensive design consultation for complete and entire remodel of summer residence. Coordinated with builder on material choices and layout for all aspects and phases of construction. Provided invaluable advice and direction in the coordination of a multitude of decisions regarding all furniture, paints, fixtures, flooring, lighting, cabinet and door design, tile choices and layout, door handles, coat hooks, art, rugs, accessories. We as owners were 2500 miles away from the project and were not able to be on site. We relied heavily on Kate to guide us in decision making and choices for all phases of the project

Kate is a great visionary and designer. I have worked with her on several projects and have found her to be extreamly attentive to her clients needs. She is creative and unique,yet very respectful of her clients style. I look foward to working with her again in the future.
