About Us

K Kong Designs is rooted in the belief that the client is the inspiration behind the design process. The homes we design are not a portrait of our design aesthetic: Instead, they reflect the personality of the owners. At K Kong Designs, listening and collaborating with clients is paramount to the success of each project. The end result is one that neither the client nor the designer can conceive alone. In 2011, Kristin Kong established her Atlanta based design firm, K Kong Designs, after working for a large architectural firm for eight years. While she established herself as a top hospitality and multi-family interior designer, her true passion has always been designing homes. Kristin graduated from Vanderbilt University, earning a degree in fine arts. She began her career as an assistant designer for a distinguished fashion company in New York. In 2003, Kristin graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a BFA in Interior Design. Kristin is currently NCIDQ certified and a LEED accredited professional.

Kristin transformed our living room, dining room, entry way and den/keeping room and we feel as though we live in a brand new home. She was professional, easy going, respected our taste and budget, and the work was done in a timely manner with a minimal amount of disruption. Her team is great to work with, and Kristin coordinated everything for us smoothly. I will definitely hire her for our next project!

Words do not do Kristin justice. She is a true pleasure to work with. From bringing me a wide breadth of selections at a variety of price points to giving great recommendations and keeping me calm in the face of "analysis paralysis," I have been so grateful to have her by my side as we build our home. She has a great eye and consistently brings me selections that are unique and beautiful. And whereas a lot of creative types are great at design, but not so much at business, Kristin is as organized and detail-oriented as she is creative. She has an understanding of and appreciation of our budget and has a great ability to help me prioritize so that I get a great mix of "luxe" and affordable. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to remodel, build or simply refresh.

Gorgeous work, innovative ideas and superb attention to detail all put K Kong Designs at the top of my list for an interior designer. Perhaps the best part of working with Kristin of K Kong Designs is her genuine kindness, her practical insight and ability to stay within and often below budget. I have worked with K Kong Designs on several projects in my last two homes, including a living room, dining room, a new bedroom and my daughter's bathroom. I am beyond pleased with everything and have more projects that I will be using them for in the future. In particular, I was pleased with how I wanted a beach-like feel to a formal living room and Kristin created a beautiful designed room of airy blues, tonal whites and gold accents that created the right feel without being too literal. I am very happy with all the work of K Kong Designs and would highly recommend for any project.
