Latala Homes has been building in the southern Bay Area for many years, building condo and PUD projects as well as premium single family homes. They are totally first class in terms of experience, knowledge, expertise, construction quality and speed. And yet they are flexible and friendly at the same time. Even with rain delays, Paul Latala completed our home in less than 10 months, and was nearly 100% on budget. Highly recommended.

I have worked with Paul Latala on several projects as the Landscape Architect and have found him to be very personable and easy to get along with. His work is of very high quality and he shows a great eye for detail. The construction site is organized and well maintained. The subcontractors are all of the highest standard and very efficient. Paul runs a tight ship. I give Latala Homes the highest recommendation.

We used Paul and his team as the general contractor for our complete home rebuild. We demo'd our old house and built a new 2 story home with a large finished basement in Willow Glen. Paul was great to work with! He was very honest with us throughout the process. We had access to him whenever needed, and met on-site on a regular basis. Paul was always willing to give his opinion when we were faced with a decision, however he always let us make the final decision. The project moved along on schedule, we ended up being only slightly delayed primarily due to weather and the length of time the basement took to finish. His initial bid for the project ended up being pretty close to the final amount we paid. Most of the overruns were due to us picking higher end finishings vs what was likely bid on. I think this is very standard and something I expected as part of this process. I would definitely work with Paul and his team again. They did a great job, we love how our home turned out and appreciate all of his hard work!

Every moment of our experience with Latala homes was amazing! The genuine love and passion for what this company does can be seen each day. It was so easy to share our thoughts with Paul Latala and every member of his amazing crew. My family lost almost everything in a house fire. Needless to say, spirits were down and there were many emotional days during the remodel. Paul's compassion and professionalism was like no other. I can honestly say that I am not sure how we would have gotten through it with out him. The beautiful house he rebuilt, in a timely manner I may add, is now a home.

Great quality home builder. Previously helped me with a remodel for one of my clients and I went back to him when I had a construction project. Not only is the quality good, but Paul really takes the time to help you understand the process and make good decisions on design factors and gives great advice on where to save money. All around great experience.

Remodels don't have to be stressful. I really enjoyed it and I owe it to Paul Latala. I will recommend him to anyone in the bay area that needs a contractor and stand behind it 100% I live in Los Gatos and bought a 113 year old house. ~1000 sq feet of it needed a full down-to-the studs update. Paul gave me a very fair estimate and in no time, he and his awesome crew were hard at work. Progress never slowed and before we knew it, on time and on budget, Paul had turned the place around so well we could hardly recognize it. I mean it when I say this: Paul will restore your faith in the contracting business. He is the best.
