When we decided to renovate our home, we got quotes from several contractors in the Boise area. From our very first meeting with Maria, we knew she was different. She put together an incredibly detailed proposal—far more comprehensive than any of the others we received—which immediately gave us confidence in her professionalism and attention to detail. She was responsive, approachable, and genuinely enjoyable to work with from day one. Our remodel was extensive. We opened up our upstairs floor plan by removing a wall, added a fireplace, created a mudroom/office space, installed custom cabinetry and a custom closet, replaced all of our flooring, added wood accent paneling, updated lighting, and repainted everything—walls, trim, windows, and doors. We also installed a new transom window and a sliding glass door. It was a large project with a tight timeline, and despite two unexpected setbacks, Maria kept everything moving and finished on schedule. She's built outstanding relationships with her subcontractors, and it shows. Her team communicates well, works efficiently (and hard), and takes pride in what they do. One thing we especially appreciated was that Maria was always available to answer questions and never hesitated to price out additional ideas as they came up. She understands every step of the remodeling process and is an excellent guide through it. Whenever we were unsure about a design decision, her advice was thoughtful and practical. She helped us see what was possible while also respecting our budget, encouraging us to invest in the areas that would have the biggest impact. The end result exceeded our expectations, and we absolutely love our home. By the end of the project, Maria felt more like a friend than just our contractor. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and talented general contractor. In fact, we already plan to work with her again when it's time to remodel our kitchen.

What a great blessing to find Maria! I purchased a brand new tract home and the builder was unable (unwilling) to provide the upgrades and options I wanted. I went through discussions with 3 other remodelers who wanted "their vision" for my house. From our first conversation I was hopeful I had found someone to listen to me, get to know me and my style. Maria worked on most every corner of my house, creating a home from a builder grade finish house. I'm pretty sure she has been gifted with the talent of getting inside her client's head and bringing our ideas to life. And improving on them! She brought the most perfect material options from wallpaper to tile to paint to lighting. Maria has cultivated relationships with amazing subcontractors. She is a perfectionist and does not hesitate to have something redone if it is off (even when I did not see it). Her process is cannot be matched from the initial discussion, to idea boards, the estimate (so detailed) and scheduling. This was a zero stress process! I am so pleased with my recent 1948-home remodel working with Lechner Design and Remodel that I'm already planning to work with them a second time! My recent remodel included: converting part of the existing laundry room and a closet to a new full bathroom, upgrading the kitchen and existing bath, and moving a wall to even out the size of the two bedrooms. My wife and I called Lechner Designs for a kitchen and living room modernization. Our house was built in 2007 and had become outdated. Maria is a pleasure to work with. She has a lot of good design ideas which helped us understand more fully what was involved in the remodel. She had a great way of putting colors together that worked well with our wants. It was great working with Maria. She had great ideas on how to turn the space under our stairs into the perfect little dog house. I love the fun and funky flamingo wallpaper and yellow walls. She really listened to me and took all my thoughts into concideration and made them a reality, right down to the mid century modern miniature doggie lounger! The whole thing turned out wonderfully.
