Assaf is one of the most creative home designers that we have ever engaged. He's passionate about the job and completely hands-on. He takes care of the detail and goes an extra step to deliver perfect solution for your project. Assaf & his team were great for our project, and added tremendous value to our place. Importantly, he's has great temperament and easy approach. We had a great time working with him and he became a part of our family for the duration of the job. If I could give Assaf of Leib Designs 10 stars, I would. I'm embarrassed I haven't written this review sooner but it speaks to how amazing he is that I am still thrilled with my gut renovation after almost 3 years. Assaf is the most honest and passionate designer. He may be a bit more expensive than your average contractor and thats because he's not a contractor, he is a designer and an interior architect. When friends come over they say my apartment looks like a new development and thats because it is a cohesive design which would not have been possible without Assaf's expert eye and attention to details. I am a perfectionist and loved that he would take my ideas to the next level. I have a narrow galley kitchen and he found a way to optimize my working space while keeping everything looking super clean. Not one cabinet or nook goes without purpose. If there was ever a problem during the renovation, Assaf would come up with multiple solutions so by the time he called me, I wouldn't even know what the original problem was because he pretty much already fixed it. My husband and I have since been looking for a new place to buy and we always say we can't wait to do another project with Assaf. In speaking with all my friends, I don't know anyone else who still loves their contractor after their job was completed. I can enthusiastically say I still do and always look forward to calling him from time to time to see how he is doing. Even with small upgrades in my apartment, he is quick to answer my calls and is always eager to help. He never charged me more than he quoted. He is very forthright about everything. Although it may seem like more money, it ends up being the same because all my friends went over budget on their jobs while I stayed in the budget we created when the contract was first signed. Just know you will be in excellent hands with Assaf and the team at Leib Designs.

I hired Leib Designs as they came recommended by friends. Assaf really worked with me to get a sense of what we wanted. He crafted many options for us to think through. Once the design was set, the GC on the job and all of the workers they had were all top notch. They were communicative, very respectful and really good at their jobs. I also really trusted them to be in my apartment, not to mention ON TIME with everything! Our apartment came out beautifully and I can't say enough good things about the whole team. I highly recommend them and will absolutely use them again in the future for other renovation projects.

My wife and I decided it was time to renovate the two contiguous apartments which we have owned for almost 30 years but had never fully combined. We were both trepidacious about the experience and the expense. We interviewed five designer/architects and settled on Assaf Lieb for a number of reasons: We liked his creativity and ideas, his estimate was the most reasonably priced and just as important, he showed the most enthusiasm and desire to take on the project. Well, none of us are always right in their choices. However, this time we scored a bulls eye. Assaf transformed our decaying and outdated apartments into a beautiful and extraordinary space of which we are truly proud. He and his team are pleasure to work with. His use of design, space and attention to detail is unmatched. He was collaborative, respectful of our ideas and as far from a prima donna as you could imagine. Every step working with him was a sheer delight. He truly exceeded our expectations. He is now not only our designer but our friend and part of the family. We recommend him both enthusiastically and unequivocally. He's the best!.

My husband and i just purchased our first condo and the bathroom was u-g-l-y. It was a very "typical bathroom"- pink tiles, linoleum flooring, awkward layout. We had dreams of getting a condo with at least 2 bathrooms, but it just wasn't in our budget. Since we were limited to only one, we wanted it to be perfect and decided a remodel had to be done before we moved in. We shopped around a little and got quotes from some other places before meeting with Assaf from leib designs. We had a good feeling about him right off the bat. Assaf knew his stuff and was easy to talk to. He was also the only person who didn't tell us our dream bathroom was out of reach. Double faucets in an oversized basin? Sure. Custom cabinets? No problem. Subway tiles? You got it. My husband and i are not ones to make snap decisions, but without even discussing it, we knew assaf would be able to get us what we want and signed a contract on the spot. He understood our vision, was able to work within our tight timeline, and gave us a very competitive price with options. Within hours we had picked out all of our fixtures, tile, and flooring, and three days later our hideous old bathroom was knocked down to its bones. One month later and we are now living with our dream bathroom. Everything about it is perfect. My husband and i are both creative people so attention to detail is key for us. Did we run into some hiccups along the way? Sure, but that's bound to happen with an older building. Overall, Assaf and his team were still able to do everything promised in the quoted time frame and it looks fantastic. One truly outstanding part of our remodel is our custom vanity, counter top, and sink. It is a picture perfect, magazine-quality work of art. I still can't believe it's the same dingy bathroom we had just weeks ago. Aside from that, Assaf was also great about answering the many questions we had as first-time homeowners- helping to direct us in some of our diy projects around the house. We are so happy to have found a decorator we can trust and feel like we've made a lasting friendship in the process. The bathroom was just the beginning of our condo transformation and we would 100% use Assaf and leib designs again. I will update with photos soon.

We have worked with Leib Designs & his clients as a General Contractor for Projects in NYC for over 5 years. Assaf & his staff have successfully completed both large scale Projects & smaller scale partial renovations. In all cases, Projects were completed with full Client satisfaction. I had an incredible experience with Leib Designs. Assaf is very talented and attentive. He has a great design sense. He is also a highly efficient project manager. Leib Designs was able to complete a total gut renovation of a 2000 sq ft pre war apartment in 4 months. That includes demo of the apartment down to the bar walls and cement floors, the moving and installation of three bathrooms, complete kitchen move and remodel, and the installation of a split air HVAC system. I hired the Leib Design firm to do some small renovations and paint my 2 bedroom, 2 bath coop on Fifth Ave. on the upper east side of New York. Asaf and Lieb were not only polite and did an excellent job...they did more than asked or required. The workmen they sent on the site were respectful, honest and good workers and professional. Their fee was very reasonable. At the end of the day, the painter cleaned the apartment so that no one entering would know work was ongoing. I could not recommend a better contractor. Those who use him will be happy with their work and result.

We hired Assaf to make our apartment our dream home. It was a collaboration. Nothing worth having is easy. If you are diligent, and creative, Assaf is your guy. He created the nicest apartment we have ever seen in Manhattan.

Assaf Leib designed and arranged for the renovation of my bathroom. He and his workers did an excellent job. The bathroom is beautiful, and everything is designed to be convenient for me. I highly recommend him. He is available to me when I have a problem, and he stands by his work, months after the completion of the project. He is a talented designer, and he purchases the supplies needed to complete the job. The bathroom was essentially completed in less than a month, which was important for me, as I have only one bathroom and had to live here during the demolition and construction.

Asaf Leib is a hidden Gem. we did an entire gut renovation to combine two apartments in a pre-war co-op building. if you could see the before and after pictures that would tell you everything but the reason he is a gem is because he is super talented....he's a contractor/project manager, designer, and architect, and very trustworthy person... to find all these qualities and skills in one person is hard to do. few key things: he listens very well. I would sit with him telling him what i was looking for and he would sit there sketching out the design. the sketchs looked exactly like the finished product. he's has an amazing eye for design and pays attention to detail like no other. in addition, he is very unique as he treats every project like his own. he's very passionate about the job he is working on and that's something that is hard to find. usually you hire a contractor/manager and they have 10 other projects going on at the same time and could care less about yours. all they want to do is get it done. trust me you won't go wring with asaf. he truly is one of a kind...a hidden gem.

There are no words to describe what a talented designer and project manager Assaf is. He is a pleasure to work with. Dependable, hardworking, and honest are only a few of the words that describe him. I never anticipated my apartment would be done so beautifully on time and budget.
