We started out designing our bathroom with Eva. Her great drawings formed the basis for Makus' planning and contracting. They both did a great job-detailed plans, great subcontractors, good oversight and finishing on time and on budget. We will enjoy our bathroom for many years to come.

I really like Eva Clemens and her staff at Leicht. After water damage destroyed our refrigerator cabinet, Eva came to our place several times to survey the situation. She measured everything carefully and helped us consider a laminate for the cabinet. Brock Boring oversaw the coordination and scheduling of the installation crew. They did a seamless job. As an Architect, my wife and i are always around some cutting edge design and modern technology. When it came time to designing our own home, we found Leicht to be what we are looking for in our kitchen and the cabinets for the whole house. It is very modern with cutting edge manufacturing and high quality priduct.... Eva Clemens was amazing to work with and dove deep into the functionality of what can be designed for a true functioning Kitchen. Unlike some others we met that did not care about the function but were about the looks.. The Studio Europa team came out from San Diego to Phoenix a few times to measure and make sure everything was per plan. The install crew Brock and his team from Europe were amazing... Studio Europa was the kitchen and general contractor for a major remodeling project where the entire bottom floor of my house was transformed. The extensive work covered an area over 1000 sq. feet. The entire floor was replaced with hard wood, the staircase was completely rebuilt, numerous dry walls were removed to make place for new features, a new gas fireplace was installed, and of course, the old kitchen was replaced with a new Leicht kitchen equipped with all new appliances. The project took over three months to complete. Overall, I am happy with the end result. As with all major construction projects, there were a few issues along the way, but Studio Europa dealt with them to the best of their ability. The project finished on time and pretty much within budget.

We had an amazing experience with Studio Europa and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top quality kitchen at a reasonable price. All aspects of the Studio Europa service were excellent - from the kitchen/Pantry/Laundry design process and selection of materials with Eva to the install with Markus, Andre and team. Follow up was also brilliant. They are very professional, clean and delivered on everything promised.

In fact, I was so impressed that I decided to “give it try,” in my own home, to see for myself just how wonderful these cabinets are before I began recommending my clients to entertain Leicht for their home or business. Fast forward… Honestly, the whole process was an amazing experience - to say the least! From the first design meeting with Eva down to the final touches made by their expert craftman, Michael. My husband and I could not be more satisfied! And both of us are extremely picky and hold very high standards. This kitchen project was one component, of our large home remodel, and in truth, ran seamlessly. Nothing is perfect, but out of the several dozens of subs we had on our project, Studio Europa/Leicht was at the top – bar none - for professionalism, timeliness, expert craftsmanship, and customer service. Our kitchen was the one “item” my husband and I did not have to worry about, and that’s because we knew we were in good hands with the gang at Studio Europa including Eva, Markus, Andre, Ed, Kristen and Michael. What a great bunch of people who are so pleasant and enjoyable to work with too! In the end, and more importantly, what Studio Europa/Leicht provided me and my husband (besides a gorgeous, well-functioning kitchen!) was peace of mind throughout our entire home remodel. In all the craziness, when it came to our Leicht kitchen project - we were actually able to relax – which is priceless! I was hopeful to have a positive experience with Markus Zaugg & Studio Europa as I had a strong referral for their services. Unfortunately, I had to deal with unprofessional behavior, no responses to emails, poor customer service and poor decision making. This led to loss of trust in Markus and Studio Europa. One of Markus' employees - Corrado Tona - made numerous poor professional decisions. Those decisions reflect not only the employee - but the employer who hired that person. Corrado attempted to switch out a pot filler without shutting off the water main to the house! It was a terrible lack of judgment. That led to a flooding of the kitchen and numerous damage to cabinets, etc. This experience not only inconvenienced my family, but also created more stress and anxiety. We had no kitchen & blowers/vacuum dryers were creating noise for numerous days. I was also charged for hotel rooms, set-up time, meals and mileage/driving hours. I had never heard of being charged those fees, but given that I was referred to Markus by a trusted person - I was willing to handle the extra cost. That turned out to be a nightmare as Corrado was gone for 3-4 hours one day (doing some work at another job I presume) and yet I was charged the full amount for all of the aforementioned fees. Corrado did not even communicate with me that he was leaving for another job! He simply disappeared and I had no idea where he was. I requested that I pay a percentage of those fees based on the number of hours worked at the 2 job sites, but Markus required that I pay 100% of the fees. Additionally, the hours logged at my house did not line up with the hours that Corrado was actually at my house. The lack of honesty is absolutely the worst. I brought up these issues to Markus and he simply ignored my concerns. I will absolutely pay what is owed for service, but I draw the line with dishonest logging of hours. I attempted to find a resolution, but Markus refused to answer my emails. Corrado also made a huge error in ordering the glass & because of that, he had to return for yet ANOTHER day of labor! Of course, this meant that I had to pay for an additional day of hotel, set-up time, meals, mileage/driving fees. Markus should not have charged me for that final day of work given that Corrado returned only because HE made the error! It is infuriating that a worker can make a mistake & it costs the client even more money because of that mistake. Markus or Corrado should have eaten the cost of Corrado needing to return to my house for yet another day. Additionally, Corrado attempted to fix my motorized cabinets. He spent numerous hours on the cabinets and after paying hundreds of dollars in labor & parts, the cabinets actually work worse than before! Again, I requested that Markus stand behind his employee's work and ensure the cabinets are working (or refund the labor which made it worse), but again - he ignored my emails and still forced me to pay for the labor. (Labor which made my cabinets worse!) Markus also ordered tabletops for my kitchen. The tabletops developed cracks & I inquired about a warranty. I soon learned that Markus ordered the wrong tabletops - not the Matte Laminate ones which are more durable and can withstand some moisture. Markus ordered regular glososy cabinet panels which are not able to withstand ANY moisture! Why would someone order a tabletop in a KITCHEN that cannot take any moisture! I had hoped that Markus would at least some responsibility for his incorrect ordering, but no - he yet again ignores my emails and continues to be unprofessional. I am writing this review to hopefully save a future client from dealing with this unprofessional business. It is really a disgrace that people work hard for their money & expect to receive a service - but instead end up dealing with people who have no regard for the customer. If asked, I would recommend steering clear of Studio Europa & Markus Zaugg. If I'm able to spare one family the nightmare of dealing with this company - then this review is worth it.

We used Studio Europa to renovate the kitchen in our contemporary condo. We couldn't have asked for better advice, design and execution. Eva has a wonderful design sense, came and looked at the space and steered us in exactly the right direction with beautiful Leicht cabinetry and Miele appliances. Markus oversaw the installation, which began and ended exactly on time and on budget. Every step of the way was a pleasure-and after going through other renovations we know that's something special. The follow up was superb, with no detail being too small to attend to. After living with our new kitchen for a couple of months, there is nothing that we would change. For future projects, we would not go anywhere else than Studio Europa. They are entirely professional, and lovely to work with.

Studio Europa designed and installed Leicht cabinets in our kitchen and living room, and we couldn’t be happier with the results, it completely transformed the look of our house. The cabinets are beautiful, high-end cabinets that function exceptionally well and have a sleek European modern look. They are solid and well-made, and I can see them lasting for years to come. We did a price comparison with another well-known European cabinet company, and Studio Europa came in about 20% under the other bid. I felt much more comfortable working with Eva of Studio Europa than the other cabinet company; I already had a solid vision of what I wanted and Eva was willing to work with my vision and patiently answered my endless questions, while adding her own expertise to the final design that improved the overall look and functionality of the kitchen. She also understood my budget constraints and made practical suggestions to ensure we adhered to the budget. Eva was always responsive and professional, and her team expertly installed the cabinets with great attention to detail. I felt I was in good hands throughout the project. There were only a few very minor issues. A couple items were damaged during transit and had to be re-sent; this took several weeks and is a reminder that shipping from Germany, getting through customs, etc. definitely takes time. Next, we have two cabinet colors: the walnut, which looks and functions beautifully; and the Lava, which looks amazing but shows fingerprints like crazy. Not a problem if there are handles, but it may be if you’re going for the sleek handle-free European look. Finally, since Leicht is a German company, all catalog items and drawings were in centimeters, requiring time and effort to translate to inches during the design process. We’ve been living with our finished kitchen for over three months now, and we still find ourselves saying, “We wouldn’t change a thing.” Thanks to Studio Europa and Leicht for delivering the kitchen of our dreams, on time and on budget. They were a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them.

Studio Europa is Amazing!! The creative Swiss team of Eva Clemens and Marcus Zaugg work so well together. In 2005 I added about 800 square feet to my house making a one story 2 bedroom /1 bath into a 2 story 3 bedroom/2 bath home. Eva Clemens was the main collaborator on this job and came up with the initial drawings and design. From there she designed and built pieces for the bathroom and bedroom including a beautiful vanity and stunning bed frame with attached night stands. The combined use of materials of wood and metal are a piece of art! I have many other handmade pieces of furniture in my house that have been designed and built through Studio Europa. Needless to say I'm a big fan and would highly recommend them.

Our initial work with Studio Europa was the design and complete makeover of the kitchen in our apartment in La Jolla. We had already begun looking into the project and were pointed toward Studio Europa by a friend who noted that since Studio Europa made their own cabinets, their overall costs were significantly lower. When Studio Europa came on board, our initial work was on the design phase and since we planned to go down to the beams, that piece was critical. We had a general idea of what we wanted and our interactions with Eva Clemens, SE’s designer were very productive. It was clear from the beginning that she intended to work with us to achieve the result we wanted not resist our ideas in favor of her own. Our interaction with Studio Europa during the design phase was lively and easy and the products of it (detailed layouts from every angle etc.) were clear, concise and informative. We researched vendors for the items that we needed such as cabinet, lighting, counter top and tile selections. With Studio Europa’s introduction to appliance vendors, we selected one and ordered what we needed, reported that to Studio Europa which then produced the final plan with specs for the ordered equipment. The key here is that the designer brought informed talent to an active dialog. Every aspect of the project was drawn up and signed off on so that there were no surprises or unknowns. Once construction began it was speedy and focused. We were not present for the bulk of it, but there were no complaints from our neighbors and Studio Europa’s construction team work assiduously in concert with our building’s rules and regs. We could not have been happier with the final product which was finished on time and on budget. As with any such project, however, there were nits and nats at the end, i.e. we did not like the sequence of the positions in a row of four light switches. Studio Europa’s team responded immediately to make those changes we requested. And now, three years after its completion, Studio Europa still responds to requests for minor changes or fixes. Because we were so satisfied with our Studio Europa kitchen, we engaged them to re-do our powder room. This project was a repeat of the kitchen experience. Studio Europa’s translation of our ideas into design specs was great and the installation work was timely and without fuss for our building. We love the unique and unusual result and appreciate Studio Europa’s coming back quickly when called for minor fixes. In addition to all of the above, Studio Europa has completed some small projects for us like making end tables to match a coffee table that we had. They did each project perfectly. So far, everything we have asked of them has been done with enthusiasm and professionalism. We have recommended them to other friends and will do so to anyone who asks.
