Studio 4C

Leigh is timely, trusted and very talented! She helped us with a complete kitchen remodel and made the disruption/process very easy. Leigh is multi-talented and helped with both our architectural and design needs. In addition, we gutted two bathrooms, replaced and a fireplace and added wood beams throughout the house for a dramatic effect. Leigh has a lot of experience, great energy and a very creative eye.

Since moving into our house a few years ago, that was in dire need of updating, I have worked with Leigh multiple times. She has been wonderful! I have worked with her while updating the kitchen, a couple of bathrooms and adding a new bathroom. She has worked with me and given me what I needed/wanted. Some times I wanted a whole design and layout and other time I was looking for some minor suggestions. She has been honest, kind and very helpful. She really helped me achieve the look I was going for. I am glad I found her to help transform our house.

Leigh was the positive, creative, and professional ingredient in the mix when my husband and I undertook the task of designing our detached garage and breezeway. In what had been a difficult process--two people with opposing views on home building trying to collaborate--Leigh harnessed our often separate visions in a single design that she patiently adjusted as it evolved. She is approachable and timely with communication and design development as well.

Leigh was really great to work with. We had a large, outdated MASTER BATH that was an awkward space to figure out. She listened to our wishes, gave 3-4 plans to choose from and we are THRILLED with our new bathroom. Better than we could have imagined. Spacious, functional, modern...we LOVE it! She was so easy to work with, always available, and we really liked her style and suggestions. There were a few times along the project that due to mistakes made by our oversights etc she was able to come up with a perfect, easily remedied solution. Just today I was daydreaming that if I won a lottery, I would hire her to design my new house!

Our Construction company has had the pleasure to work alongside Studio 4 C on Several projects. The creative design, problem solving skills, and strong attention to details, has made the projects a real pleasure to build. The weekly meetings, typically scheduled at the onset of the projects, is a huge benefit to the success of the project, and Leigh has a talent for capturing every detail from the meetings, and follows up every meeting with an emailed summary for all parties in attendance. Leigh also stays on task extremely well, getting any revisions, answers, or questions to the forefront, keeping the projects moving foreword. On every project we have had the pleasure to work with Studio 4 C, it has been a friendship of the Owners, the Builder, and the Architect for years after the jobs were completed.

Studio 4C designed and provided follow-up on a complete remodel of my three story townhouse. The results are great. The thirty year old place is now completely up to date, looks great and is easy to live in. This cost effective remodel gave us the new place we wanted.

Leigh does a fabulous job! She understands what I want in my remodeling projects, works well with the other professionals on my job, and produces answers and drawings quickly. We are currently working on our second big project with Leigh at Studio 4C.

Studio 4C provided architectural design services for 2 separate projects. We were so pleased with the first one, we engage Studio 4C with no hesitation for the second one. Both projects involved complete renovation. The first project also included a separate smaller structure (guest house/office/studio). It was important to keep the design aesthetic, mid-century modern, in the remodel and addition. Perfect execution! The second project was a remodel of a 70's era condo in a mid-rise, and although we did not reposition any major walls, Leigh, principal of Studio 4C, was able to create more usable spaces by adjusting some of the walls for additional storage. In both projects, Leigh's architectural credentials were apparent as space usage, relationships of spaces, and engineering concerns were addressed. Her design experience was particularly helpful in the mid-century modern project. She introduced us to various concepts of that period and helped us stay true which was particularly critical to our enjoyment of the space and re-sale value. In both projects she worked very well and very closely with the general contractors and aided in the selection process of the gc for the first project. She recommended various finishes and surface treatments that enhanced the project. She is informed on and practices ecologically sound decisions for selections. And she presents options to consider, including advantages and disadvantages of each. Every cost overrun was the owner's decision choosing a more costly option for aesthetics or convenience. Her design experience was also helpful in color selections, furnishings, and window treatments. Working with a firm that provides both architectural and design functions provided a cleaner, clearer communication process for owner and contractor. Her site management skills also kept the project moving, and although the gc's in both cases were very good, her attention to the details provided confidence that there would be no regrets in the end. Both projects are wonderful examples of livable, functional and beautiful space.

I am a general contractor who had the good fortune of working with Leigh from Studio 4C. The project was a three bedroom town home total remodel, major framing, plumbing, and electrical changes were involved. High end finishes in three bathrooms, one kitchen, and numerous other areas of the project were the product of Studio 4C design and architectural concepts. This architect provided accurate and detailed drawings at all phases of construction, was readily available for consultation, and was directly involved in communicating idea's to those doing the actual work. These things all contributed to the overall quality of the project. General contractors really appreciate when designers and architects understand the building process to the extent that Studio 4C does.

We hired Leigh at Studio 4C was amazing! She created a second master suite in our house, and was able to create a cost effective space that preserved function, design, and high quality décor. It was really important to us to hire someone who was both an architect and interior designer. She was able to give us many options from tile to cabinet hardware--oftentimes, from the comfort of our own home, by clicking an internet link! I would use Leigh and Studio 4C for any future projects!
