I would sincerely recommend Lyla Veinot as an Interior designer. She takes the time to get to know a person and their interests and style. Lyla listens and makes one feel comfortable to discuss and develop ideas. I did not feel pressured by time constraints and I felt I was included in all aspects of the process. The choices developed organically and I was very happy with the results. I have had many unsolicited compliments on the look and feel of my home.

Lyla designed one of our most recent custom homes. She was great to work with and did her design came together beautifully. Lyla works wonderfully with the clients and communication was a breeze.

Lyla designed and implemented a reno and set up of a main floor of a house I bought and was moving into. She was professional and respectful. She has the most style of anyone I know, in everything she does. My well known, top realtor loved the finished product so much she asked to use Lyla for future work. All the workers Lyla had through my place were excrptionally nice. I had all carpet removed and grey oak flooring put in. All light fixtures replaced with gorgeous classy lights she chose. A pantry removed and a wall reconstructed behind it. Beautiful subway tile backsplash that is so well installed it changed the whole kitchen. Mirror closet doors. Beautuful colourful, stylish curtains in all rooms. New mouldings, full paint, then she bought stylish pieces and incorporated a lot of existing furniture, bought and installed lots of add ons and fully decorated. Everything with a same colour flowing through. I've never been happier somewhere I lived. I'm so very comfortable because of everything Lyla did. Highly recommended!

Lyla helped me transform my living room into an oasis that I love to spent time in and invite guests into. Everyone who has seen the change has been impressed. I found Lyla was able to hear what I liked and didn’t like and knew what my style was she didn’t impose her ideas she worked with me. The transformation she did also fit into the rest of my house which pleased me. After our initial visit she put together a color palate and 3D pictures of a plan she thought would fit the space. The ability to see the plan this way was easy to see how it would look in real life. She has a great sense of style and creativity and I enjoyed working with her. I would recommend her and I have.

We have had two deightful experiences with Lyla. Firstly, Lyla came to our home in Walnutgrove and prepared the home for sale. She appropriate brought furniture and decorations to our house and arranged what was already there. The project was a huge success. She has an amazing eye for design and colour, She prepared the space available with perfect effect. We had an offer on our home in two days. We moved into a new home on Vancouver Island. Lyla came to our new home and expertly advised on interior design and space usage. Lyla has an attractive personality and is very pleasant to deal with. She is open to new ideas. We are so pleased with her effort on our behalf

We wanted to have our two bathrooms completely redone and did not know where to begin with all the work it would entail. We went to Lyla Veinot after viewing her website as it said she could look after the whole package. She came over to see our space and she listened to our ideas. She took our vision then sourced products, arranged the trades and and came to us with her proposed design with fixtures, products, decorating and budget. Lyla communicated with us through the process of rebuilding our bathrooms. She let the trades people in and out of our home while we were at work so we had nothing to worry about. They were neat and respectful. Lyla cared for the space like it was her own and she created a beautiful bathroom oasis for each of us! Her creative passion and quality of classy style are reflected in her work along with our own personalities. We are thrilled with the amazing job she did and will recommend her to everybody!

Lyla had a fantastic vision for our living room and dining room. She created an amazing fireplace which is the focal point of our living room. As well, the flooring that she had researched and chosen for us was a wonderful surprise. The flooring is unique and gives a luxurious look to both rooms. Many of our guests have complimented us on our fireplace and flooring. Lyla was very responsive to any issues that we had, and was able to address our concerns. She was very knowledgeable about many of the products and was able to give us choices that worked with her vision. We were happy to have Lyla's professional experience to guide us through our renovations.

I have hired 'Lyla Veinot Designs' company several times in the past 5 years, to assist me with renovations on 3 different homes. Lyla is extremely knowledgeable about home design and has contacts with many different trades people, that work with her to complete the project regardless of size. Lyla is very good at meeting with clients, listening to their 'wish list' and then based on their budget recommending the best way to maximize their investment to achieve their dream. She listens and really understands what you like and the effect you are trying to achieve. She does a review of the home and comes up with a dream board. I let Lyla know what my budget was and she was really good at reining me in during the process when you are really tempted to add different components and in the excitement forget about costs! She was on site when required and finished the projects on time. This really reduced the stress of renovations and when a sub did not show up or did not complete what was required...she dealt with it and had back-up people in place. The final reveal was amazing and I get great feedback from guests who are amazed at the end result and comment that the space really reflects what they know about me. It is my oasis and to sit and relax in every room in my home is a joy. So, if like me, you know what you like...but can't picture it before it is completed, Lyla will be a huge help in making sure you end up with a result that you love.

Our project consisted of updating our living room, dining room and kitchen. Lyla’s work on our project was superb. She really listened to what we wanted and was always gracious. The project came in on budget and on time. The trades she used did excellent work and spoke highly of her. Lyla’s ideas succeeded in turning the least attractive elements in our home into our favourite features. Every step proceeded in a timely manner and Lyla ensured that everything met her specifications. Lyla chose kitchen backsplash, wall colours, furniture, rugs, draperies, lighting, wall hangings and accessories. Her attention to detail, design knowledge and great style resulted in a beautifully cohesive whole. We are extremely happy with the results.

When I was confused, frustrated and needing some professional advice on how to enhance and improve the look of my new home, Lyla provided me with advice that genuinely reformed my house into a "home". I initially contacted Lyla, to see what hiring an "interior designer" would entail, having never done this before. She was prompt, kind, and instantly understood my frustrations and need to create warmth in a space that was seemingly "cool and uninviting". Lyla's ability to bring together a few new pieces of furniture and decorative ideas with what I already had was fantastic. She had a great sense of what I would like and often would source items for me, that I would never have been able to pick out myself. Throughout the time she was working to improve the look of my home, she always kept cost in mind, working within my budget was a strength of hers. I look forward to working with her again.
