Our project was a panoramic mural for our dining room. Eva was the right person to take on such a special project. She took the time to discuss the ideas I had, as well as, offer her own suggestions for the ethereal look I wanted. Eva succeeded in painting a nature scene that is beautiful and tranquil. It truly is one of a kind piece of art! Eva is a joy to work with! We highly recommend her.

We LOVED the work that Allen Design did in renovating our home! The floors are especially lovely. Lucas and Eva are wonderful people of great professional integrity and personal kindness. For anyone in and around Bloomington, we cannot recommend them highly enough. Our neighbors across the street agree--after seeing their work, they chose Allen Design to redo their entry, bathroom, and kitchen. I want to especially commend Lucas for undercutting our stone fireplace to make the floor transition seamless. They did our floors, painting, drywall, finishes, mudroom, -- basically everything. Loved their work.

Lucas made a custom unit for our kitchen from reclaimed barn wood. It is very, very beautiful and sturdy. I would recommend his work to anyone.

We love Lucas and Eva! My husband and I asked Lucas to make us a custom barnwood Tv stand. I gave him the dimensions and a few ideas and he did a great job taking our wish list and merging it into his own design. He is great at communicating and bouncing ideas and with a clear price for what he can do. He delivered and we absolutely LOVE it! I was impressed with the level of detail and mix of art and function. Beautiful.

We were looking for someone to create a custom dresser and changing table for a very unique nursery space. We wanted something that would be used for storage (for baby clothes, toys, books) but could also partition off the room and of course, we wanted it to match the aesthetic of our nursery. Lucas came out to our house for a consultation, we discussed some of our ideas, sketches, colors and he took measurements of the space. We were extremely blown away with the outcome! Lucas not only crafted quality furniture with our space in mind, he custom stained and painted it to match the theme of our little one's nursery. There is so much passion and artistry in the work Allen Design does! We will definitely hire them for future projects and highly recommend them for their great craftsmanship, creativity and because they were a pleasure to work with.

My wife and I hired Allen Design after we bought a house on the brink of repossession. Lucas assisted us in choosing the best flooring and put in 2,000 square feet of tongue and groove nail down flooring. The craftsmanship is amazing as he used the flooring to cover the stairs and skillfully covered some difficult spaces. He also trimmed out the fireplace that was falling apart. He was reliable, charged a fair price, and we are extremely satisfied with the work. Eva painted our son's loft bed with skyline mural that compliments his superhero aspirations perfectly.

When I was looking for a custom solution for a counter space for my photography studio, I had received a recommendation for Lucas. He had built a beautiful table for my neighbors that was a similar style to what I was looking for. When I contacted him, all communication was prompt and through. He truly is an artist and found ways to combine my vision with his skills to create a custom piece that is functional and gorgeous in the unique space. He even created a matching photo shelf/rail for our first project (as an added item to compliment my initial idea). His vision and creativity was a perfect fit and I receive countless compliments from my photography clients. I also recently asked him to create another matching self for the space and again that experience was superb! Very nice people, professional and true artists. Can't wait for my next project with them!

We purchased a large, custom table from Allen Design and couldn't be happier with it. it's beautiful, original, sturdy, and Lucas consulted with us thoughtfully beforehand to make sure we had the perfect piece for our space. I would definitely use their services again.
