I have worked with many Interior Designers, and Lucy is the absolute best. She worked with what little our client already had, added a few items of her own, and filled in from a second-hand store, and just pulled it together! I know that is why we got a higher offer....I just stood in amazement, as she put together themes, little items that matched Exactly, added sparks of color that picked up color in the room, and others that contrasted perfectly. It was amazing to watch this house transform with her gifts...and for so little, to honor our senior client on a budget! Lucy is a blessing to anyone that wants to add elegance, love, personality and impecability to their home. She truly transforms it; thank you Lucy!!.

Over the summer, my husband and I decided that we wanted to "modernize" our Living Room and Dining Room. We had a lot of furniture some matching some not. Lucy helped us identify what pieces worked in the room and which pieces to remove. She then created a beautiful color palette for us that complimented our remaining and new pieces. We modernized our Living Room with custom, decorative pillows, a new rug, accessories, new chairs and end tables. I LOVE it! Lucy is a pleasure to work with, she is tentative and easily accessible via email or phone. She works hard to make your home beautiful. I highly recommend her and cant wait to start working on other projects within our home.

Our relationship with Lucy started with her diagramming a furniture plan for our open space living area which includes living room, dining room, den and kitchen dining. We gravitated toward a contemporary look but also included some more transitional pieces. Lucy made recommendations to make the rooms cohesive but distinct. We worked together to select paint colors, sofas, accent chairs, accent tables, and accessories. We agreed to keep our dining room table, but updated the look to complement the adjoining rooms. Lucy recommended we update our kitchen table to counter height which is perfect for the space. Lucy is personable, gracious, and easy to work with. She is passionate about decorating and strives to get everything just right. She worked tirelessly with us to figure out an approach to difficult spaces. When deviations from initial design presented themselves, Lucy was quick to think of appealing alternatives. She was patient and helped us reach consensus when we had disparate design ideas. Reviews of our new space by friends and family are great. There is some “wow” factor present, which people respond to. We are very pleased with the outcome and hope to continue to work with Lucy on other spaces in our home.

Summer, 2016. Lucy is a joy to work with! I never worked with a designer or decorator before but knew I needed help. I was afraid it would cost too much and they wouldn't listen to my needs and ideas. I was wrong! LUCY to the rescue! My living room and master suite needed to be refreshed. The last two sofa purchases went wrong because the fabrics I chose weren't right. The master bath was desperately out of date. Time for a professional! Lucy is creative, smart, responsive, flexible and enthusiastic. She treated me like a true partner. She listened to my ideas and folded them into her design expertise. The result is a beautiful living room and master suite. We had a good time and didn't break the bank. Lucy is a true professional providing exceptional value.

Lucy is very knowledgeable, fair, and personable. She did a wonderful job helping me select a color palette and finding accessories for that palette. My husband and I had recently moved to a new place whose colors (floors, walls, etc) were completely different and foreign to my decorating knowledge. Now we are very happy with the new look. My wife and I recently moved into a new home. We brought along our furnishings which were transitional. Prior to moving in to our new home, we remodeled the interior by smoothing the walls and painting in a very soft gray, installing a porcelain tile floor and updating the kitchen and master bath. The end result was a very clean, blank slate. Leading up to this move we found ourselves increasingly drawn to more contemporary and modern settings. Well, moving day arrived and as you might imagine almost all of our furniture and some artwork just seemed out of place stylistically. After a long remodel process, now we were faced with decorating the living area, dining, entry way and den, which were all interconnected in a rather open floor plan. Decorating doesn’t come easy to my wife and I and we knew we needed to reach out Lucy Haines whom we worked with in the past. Lucy helped by bringing vision into focus and then helped us implement by making wise, cohesive choices. We would highly recommend Lucy as your consultant through this type of project. At this point, most furnishings have arrived and we are now living in a beautifully appointed, contemporary home.

Lucy Haines is an experienced decorator who's best quality is she is a good listener. She goes out of her way to make sure her clients and their personalities are reflected in the final product. When the room is finished she can make it look seamlessly pulled together. Often time, decorators tend to make a room the way they see it as opposed to listening to the client and making the best version of what the client desires. Lucy is also excellent with the practical things such as making sure the room is livable and will maintain its initial appearance by making sure fabrics are treated and protected and that the client will live and use the room, not just walk by and look at it! I have also been extremely happy with her subcontractors.

Lucy Haines is the best! I purchased an expensive sectional for my family room and wanted just the "right" pillows for both the sectional and two chairs in the same room. I thought I'd just go somewhere and purchase pillows. It seemed like a simple task. Lucy spent many hours on this small job making sure I had the perfect fabrics with color choices that all went together and coordinated with my entire room décor. She made solid, right on recommendations. The pillow are fab, they could not be more perfect. She also answered all my questions about accessories and area rugs. My room looks great and I owe the finishing touches to Lucy. I would not hesitate to use her services again.

This is the third home in which we have used Lucy Haines as our interior designer. We find her to be extremely professional; as well as, friendly, fun loving, and easy with which to work. She recognizes the needs and resources of her clients. We find her to be diplomatic while guiding us toward a total, best look, paying attention to the smallest detail. She has a very good eye for color and dimension. Lucy is always willing to search for the best results. She never hurries you or makes you feel like you should settle for second best. We recommend her without reservation. She is indeed a designer of the highest caliber.
