My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Working with Marissa Satomi Design was a great experience from start to finish. Marissa is professional, organized, and very easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. As a parent, it was important to me that our space looked great but could also handle real family life. She did an excellent job balancing clean, thoughtful design with durable, functional pieces, and the layout works perfectly for how we actually use the space. I would absolutely recommend Marissa Satomi Design.

I’ve really loved working with Marissa Satomi Design. Marissa takes the time to understand what you’re looking for in a design aesthetic and then masterfully fills in the blanks with design choices that are both practical and sophisticated and that also hit the mark. She’s also super sweet and is a lovely person to work with who really cares about your happiness with the finished product. In addition, she’s very patient with her clients, especially with respect to clients like me who are extremely busy with work and family commitments. The other thing that I would point out is that she does cool things like her taking a vacation abroad and spending some of her vacation time sourcing amazing art or other high-quality pieces for you at prices that are far lower than could be obtained domestically. At any rate, throughout the entire design process, I always felt like I was in good hands and being taken care of, and I would otherwise HIGHLY recommend hiring Marissa Satomi Design.

I have worked with Marissa on several projects. She is one of the most organized design professionals I have worked with (I am a general contractor and have worked with many).
