We hired Michele to design a planting plan for our small front yard and she did a wonderful job. We were over the typical look in our neighborhood, all the thirsty evergreens that just don't fit with the natural desert environment, and wanted to go with a lot of native and low water plants that actually make sense here. That seemed to be Michele's specialty. We didn't come in with strong opinions as to what we wanted, and let her take the lead to come back with ideas. She nailed it. She was also really easy to get ahold of throughout the whole process. Before the install, after the install, anytime we had a question about watering, irrigation, care tips, she got back to us quickly and was happy to help. We just got everything planted and are excited to watch it all fill in and bloom over time. Even if you have a smaller project like ours, we'd highly recommend Michele.

Old Vegas Ranch HOA

When our homeowner's association needed a preliminary design for edible landscaping in our community, we reached out to Michele. What we love about Michele is the way she considers *everything* when executing a design: plant needs, tree roots, sun patterns, existing hardscape features. She walked us through the limitations of our current landscape and offered ideas that supported our vision while accounting for the pre-existing factors that will shape the space. In other words, Michele doesn't just create a pretty design—she creates designs intended to thrive within the real conditions of a site. This is what we were most grateful for: Michele walks the line between bringing someone's vision to life and grounding it in the practical realities of the space that already exists, ensuring our HOA doesn’t spend a ton of money on something that will fail two years down the line. On top of that, Michele was incredibly communicative and prompt with her deliverables. We will definitely be using Michele again for future landscaping design needs!

Desert Love Native Plants

Wow! I cannot find enough amazing words to say about Michele. She is hands-down one of the best designers in Las Vegas, not only because she knows design principles in and out, but because she deeply understands what plants need, what helps them thrive, what makes them pop, and where to place them within the hardscape to bring all these elements together. Not only that, but she has an intimate understanding of native plants which most designers do not. We asked Michele to design a native plant demonstration garden for our native plant nursery, and she devoted not just her time but her heart to the process. During our time together, Michele visited the site multiple times, had *many* conversations to understand our needs/desires/limitations, created a stunning & easy-to-follow design, and was on-hand to ensure we got plants and hard-scapes in their correct places during implementation. You will not find a more knowledgable, dedicated, and talented designer than Michele. Highly recommended. Perennial Garden Consultants checked all the boxes for us. We found lots of companies that could put together a landscape plan, upsell hardscape and build it. But it took some time to find a company capable of designing a waterwise desert native focused garden. One that is able of thrive in our lot, amongst a mature palm and cacti garden, add some seasonal color and help attract wildlife into our yard. Michele listened and educated us on desert natives while crafting a design that will meet our desired result. She is very thorough and thoughtful in her approach to design. She found compatible desert species to replace the various hedges, privets and boxwoods on the lot, designed in replanting of some existing species and added new content to showcase the existing focal points and amplify the desert flora motif of our lot. End to end, our design took about 5 weeks from initial consultation and job walk to a bespoke plan on paper. Our plan was approved by the HOA on the day it was submitted and now it’s time to break ground. We look forward to collaborating with Michele as we source plants and see them mature in our landscape.

From the onset, Michele was very easy to work with and did a good job of keeping track of deadlines and schedules. We were on a tight schedule as the planting season is so short and my goal was to complete the job promptly. Michele provided all that we needed, including the large-scale drawings which were handy for the landscaper to follow. I was so impressed with Michele's willingness to work with so many of my existing plants as well. She did not try to spend my money by recommending all new plants. We repurposed containers, plants, and our existing hardscapes. I have had so many compliments and people have said that our courtyard looks like a magazine. I could not be prouder of the work that Michele achieved for us. I would recommend Michele for your project.

We found Perennial Garden Consultants on Houzz. We loved Michele's use of color and the uniqueness of her style within the desert landscape. We met with Michele and discussed the challenges of our yard and how we wanted to work with them and not against them, and she did just that. The process was not fast as she took her time to understand our needs, brought us different design ideas, and made sure we were happy with the direction she was going. We were most appreciative of the consistent communication throughout the process and very excited about the final product. We are working on the infrastructure now and are planning to start planting in the Spring. I would highly suggest Perennial Garden Consultants!

Working with Michele was fantastic. I had a very clear idea of what I wanted for my front yard - an English cottage garden inspiration using primarily native and pollinator friendly plants - but the options for execution were overwhelming. Michele helped identify which plants I liked vs. not and put together a plan that made the best use of how the sun hit different parts of my yard. Because I ended up delaying my install, some of the initial recommended plants were not available locally. She quickly helped me locate alternate sources for what was available, and alternative plants for the few that just couldn't be found anywhere. The deliverables quality and her communication is top notch and highly recommend her for anyone looking to update their garden.
