When our 35-year-old house on Mercer Island started feeling outdated and uncomfortable, we turned to Milan Heger Architects for a remodel of our living room and three bathrooms. The results were outstanding and were admired by all our friends. First, the living room was modernized by the removal of an ancient railing, and replaced by a gorgeous new one in hand-casted steel. This was the work of an Estonian metal artist, winner of several European awards before coming to the USA. Then, the flooring was replaced by an ecologically friendly, renewable wood parquet It had a deep color intensity and a remarkable grain pattern. Surprisingly, this imported hard wood cost much less than other available materials in the USA. Finally, we added new double pane windows for thermal control, and beautiful new imported hard wood doors all around the house. The three bathrooms were treated differently according to the personal taste of their habitual users. The choice of materials for the wall tiles, the countertops and the light fixtures were done in a modern look, which revealed the design qualities of the architect. The results reflected the personalities of each user, and their color preferences. I had never thought that taking a shower in my new bathroom would be such a visual, esthetically-pleasing experience. Milan had the additional gift of finding remarkably expert sub-contractors, who can do high quality work at a reasonable cost, delivering their work on time. We were fascinated watching the workmanship of the Ukranian tile-setters, and the Russian floor installer. They had learned their jobs overseas, and translated their work efficiently in their new location to this country. The results were so satisfactory that we knew we would live in this house for many years to come. They stimulated us to proceed with landscape improvements to our front and back yards, and coming home after a day of work is with the anticipation of finding a dwelling that satisfies our taste for stunning design and comfort, which should not be mutually exclusive. We are grateful to Milan Heger for his good taste, experience and dedication to obtain the best results with the available budget. If I were to build a new house, I would ask him to consider designing it with no reservations about the expected high quality outcome.

Milan is an extremely talented creative Architect and Artist. He particularly has deft mastery of modernist and contemporary Architecture. He is very collaborative with the client and construction team. He empowers others to provide alternative ideas and construction techniques in order to save cost and make a project exceed expectations. I thoroughly enjoy working with him!

Milan was referred to us by a friend whose house , Milan had designed. We were impressed with his design skills. Since he is also an artist, We respected his choice of materials and colors. He was very patient and catered to all our requests. He went with us to pick up materials for the job. His construction crew was amazing and did an excellent job. Milan knows so many artisans and lot of the custom work was done by these skilled workers. Our first remodel was in 2003. We redid our living room, master bedroom and baths and the powder room. The second one in 2012. That was our kitchen. We are very happy with Milan's work. We higly recommend him.

Milan Heger designed our "dream home" on a special site with Puget Sound & Olympic Mountains view. We love its beauty & how it functions for our lifestyle. Our guests seem to enjoy being here so much that they linger, almost reluctant to leave. We have also bought 2 of Milan's paintings & several pieces of custom furniture he designed for us. We.highly recommend Milan for his artistic abilities and how he listens to his clients and delivers what they want but don't know how to achieve without professional help.

I saw the Coffee Table on the website , it is so beautiful and elegant . I ordered one , they shipped it to me ( France ) without any problem. Everything was done perfectly according to our agreements . I want to say , Milan Heger is not only a designer and an architect . First , he is a real artist , and everything he creates is artistic . We can feel sort of a " soul" in it .
