My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

I bought the Paloform Bol for a backyard firepit, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of construction and the overall design. It's a fantastic modern take on the primitive wood fire, basically an elevated primal element. It's not inexpensive, but it's worth it over a masonry pit or one of the new "smokeless" designs. The fire remains the center of attention. I have not had a chance to convert it to natural gas, but judging from the quality of materials, I can be sure that it will work really well too.

Although the product is beautiful, the customer service at this company is absolutely horrible. We've bought 2 fireplaces and both experiences were the same. It's like talking to a robot - answers are automated and no one makes it a priority to get back to you. I would NOT recommend dealing with this company.

Comment from Paloform:
Hello Jeff and Suzanne,
I'm very sorry that your experience has been so bad. I have reviewed some of the correspondence you have had with our sales rep here and though I would not describe her responses as robotic or automated, she has definitely dropped the ball on a number of occasions. For that I am very sorry. I am glad that you have this forum to air your complaints as sometimes these types of situations can go unnoticed. This is not the common experience for our customers and I appreciate your feedback. Though painful to read, it will allow us to take corrective action. Thanks and regards, Khai Foo
