Our front yard was destroyed during our home renovation and we wanted to replace and enhance the new look of the house with complimenting landscaping. We decided on Nancy Greene of Greene Landscape. We couldn’t be happier with the results. From consultation to installation Nancy was present and collaborative. The plan was to have drought resistant plants but also to have a color palette. We got both. As we live in an area with a Home Owners Association Nancy helped choose the plants and trees from the HOA list of preferred plants. She also provided all the necessary paperwork to present to the HOA for approval. We also enlisted her choice for the installation of the landscape - William Ranselaar and he is true craftsman who loves his work and it shows! We are enjoying our new landscaping as are all our neighbors.

Wow! I was so happy with our new front yard landscaping from Green Landscape Designs. I hired Nancy Greene to design a major face lift for the front of the house garden as I was putting our home on the market. The project included design, landscape, and irrigation.

For the initial consult Nancy Greene came to the property and spoke with me for over an hour, clarifying my needs and wants and showing me examples of her work and many plants that I had never heard of. After last summer’s heatwaves I knew I needed something drought tolerant and heat hearty. She listened very well and made sure she understood what I wanted before she addressed the existing (27 year old) landscape. She took measurements and made some sketches. She even found a way to let me keep the mature guava trees. In less than a week, she electronically delivered a package containing a very detailed planting plan in 2 different scales, a legend to help identify the diverse array of plants, a plant palette with photos of each plant being used, and several brochures highlighting the native bentgrass that she helped me choose. The design far exceeded my expectations as I had a very strict budget to manage. Her use of color, textures, height and natural curves gave me the elegant curb appeal I was hoping for. The irrigation was designed for customization of planting groups and made the most of the water that would be needed. Nancy was always available during the installation process. She even made a few trips after it was finished to check on the plants. 

I would definitely work with Nancy again. She worked within my budget and completed the project quickly so that I was able to list the property right on schedule. I am forever grateful for her work.

We had asked Nancy design a new look for our front yard, and boy did we get one! People stop to look at the landscaping Nancy had designed for us, commenting on the beauty of the colors and layers of plantings. The yellows, purples and reds bring out the style and beauty of our spanish style home. In addition, our grandchildren are enthralled with our terrific and delicious espalier apple trees. Nancy is a professional that knows the steps it takes to go from a blank slate to a finished paradise. She listens to your ideas, needs, and budget to making your ideas become a reality. My backyard project started with a blank slate after removing all but a few trees. Nancy is a superb listener and integrated our needs and preferences into the design always. She is creative and was amazingly sensitive to the architecture of the house, creating an entry gate that echoed the details of our home in an imaginative and yet very functional way. We recently engaged Nancy Greene and Green Landscape Designs to design and install landscaping for our Santa Monica Spanish-style house. Our brief included a number of challenges, all of which Nancy and her team were able to address creatively and cost-effectively. We required the landscaping to complement the style of the house, provide a warm and welcoming “secret garden” ambiance for outdoor entertaining, and to be water-efficient. Most critically, the landscaping needed to be easy to maintain as the house is currently a rental (we live out of the country), so it needed to be both beautiful and low-maintenance for our tenants. Green Landscape Design’s team of design, installation and arborist pros were able to transform the yard and garden areas into charming and functional spaces, great for family get-togethers, intimate outdoor dining, and relaxation. Their work was cost-conscious, meticulous (benefiting no doubt from Nancy’s many years of medical experience), on time and on budget. We were referred to Nancy’s team by a previous client and, as promised, they proved to be sensitive to our needs and great to work with.

I found Nancy and Green Landscape Designs through Houzz. I hired Nancy for a re-design of my front yard. I explained to Nancy what my needs were and she led me in the right direction. Nancy helped me with the vision, assisted with the plant selection, and the implementation of the design. She was very hands on, which I appreciated. Redid both front and back yard vegetation to be drought tolerant. No grass in front at all. Parkway and yard all trees and plants from New Zealand. Wonderful to work with and after a few years the yards are all grown in and many compliments given. Nancy is easy to work with and very reasonable.
