I began my career as a garden designer by attending Garden Design School USA at Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston, MA. I was fortunate to have been trained in design by two world famous garden designers from England. My goal is to give all my clients a landscape they love so much that they never want to be indoors. I have designed for residential and commercial clients with both large and small requirements. Some of my clients prefer to buy their own plants and install them, thus implementing my vision for them. Others prefer that I purchase the plants and have the landscaper, mason, and lighting experts, that I work with, implement the design. In garden design it is necessary to be extremely flexible. Whatever your desires, I will stay on budget and will make your dreams a reality. Landscapers often advertise that they do design but rarely have the schooling; therefore, to avoid disappointment, always ask where they received their design and horticultural training. As a problem solver, I love to research whatever information is needed. All varieties of shrubs, trees, and perennials (historically appropriate, salt resistant, deer resistant, drought resistant, woodland, native, etc.) are frequently requested and used in my designs. In your landscape I will use only the appropriate plants for the sun/shade conditions, soil, and size needed to provide the lowest maintenance landscape possible. I have long term relationships with my clients who call frequently for additional work to be done.
