Next Stage Design + Build did a beautiful job renovating our kitchen and bathrooms. I absolutely love the work they did. The design work was brilliant. The custom cabinets are impeccable. The wet room in the primary bedroom is glorious. We had various electrical and electronic components and a projector installed that took some finagling. The design and budget review process was organized and professional. The project management came off without a hitch. I can recommend Next Stage Design + Build without reservations. You can trust their creativity and expertise. I’ll add photos at a later date.

I can't say enough good things about Next Stage. We've used Next Stage for 3 major renovation projects over the last 4 years for our forever home. The reveal to our friends and family for each phase has resulted in nothing but praise. They really are the Next Stage. Their lead designer Joy really takes things to the next level. Her design layouts make efficient use of the available space and the suggested finishes are gorgeous. The entire Next Stage team is professional and their subcontractors are the best. They're not satisfied until we're satisfied, and we are extremely satisfied. We're done with remodeling projects now, but if we had any more to do we wouldn't even consider using any company except Next Stage Design + Build.

We recently did a project with Next Stage to convert our second floor attic space into a bedroom suite with a bathroom, laundry room, and closet storage. This was a complicated project that involved a lot of changes elsewhere in the house such as structural improvements through placement of beams in the crawl space and connecting up through existing walls, adding a staircase, lowering the ceiling height in the living room downstairs to make room for plumbing, reorienting the kitchen layout, and resurfacing the flooring in the entire house. Throughout the project the Next Stage team anticipated the work that needed to be done and provided very clear plans and explanations. The job proceeded on time and the end result is even greater than our expectations. This was a wonderful experience to work with Next Stage and we would definitely choose them again if we ever have another project.

It is my absolute pleasure to write a review for Next Stage Design and Build so that others can feel assured in working with this amazing company. We had never done a home renovation before and had no idea what to expect other than what others told us about their own personal experiences with other companies.. We were so hesitant to do a remodel because it’s difficult to find someone who speaks highly of their renovation project and who would refer us to who they used. It was by chance that I found Next Stage via a google search and I am so grateful that we chose them to complete our extensive remodel. Our addition consisted of only an additional 180 sq. feet but the way the design team reconfigured our entire interior layout allowed for us to gain far more than square footage. My husband and I have talked extensively about what we love the most in our home now and it goes back to the original design layout that Next Stage came up with for our home. We are still living in only a 1,500+ sq. ft. home and yet we feel we have gained SO much space and functionality in our home. This design was everything to us and we cannot thank them enough. Lastly, the team at Next Stage is one of the greatest groups of people you could work with. Our home and our project was always a priority to them and their communication, dedication, and professionalism was exceptional. We entrusted them with a home we love and adore and they treated it as if it were their own. Each and every day I am so thankful for the place that I get to live in and call home. Used NextStage for a large remodel + addition with bathrooms and bedrooms, including turning an existing bedroom into a large designer "wetroom" bathroom, and building significantly onto what used to be the front yard. Everything came out beautiful, on time and on budget, even during COVID which we heard anecdotally was causing lots of trouble for others in the industry. Communication and problem-solving during the project were top notch. Highly recommend the team at NextStage.

We had Next stage remodel our garage in the spring of 2021. Over the years, we’ve had a few remodeling jobs done around the house, so we have some experience dealing with contractors. One afternoon I realized that I had complete faith that the people working on our project would do a good job. This had never occurred to me before. Not only did Next Stage do a good job, they handled us as customers in a way that I wish other businesses would. They listened to our wishes, made substantive suggestions without making us feel bad, and carried out the work in a thoughtful, timely, and competent way. I can’t speak more highly of them, and recommend them for any remodeling work you might be considering. Also, I actually miss seeing the workmen. Don’t underestimate that.

We were very impressed with the quality of construction, attention to detail, and overall project management from Next Stage for our exterior remodel. The entire team was highly professional and extremely communicative, which was important for our busy, young working family. From the initial cost estimates, through the design process, and ultimately construction (and clean-up!), it was clear that we were working with a highly organized and well-run group of professionals. We were very happy with the work done!

Well-organized, professional, quality craftsmanship. We are very happy with our house addition and remodel. We especially liked that Next Stage is a one stop shop with a design and build model. Many design decisions were made well in advance of the building process so that once demo and building began, it ran very smoothly and efficiently.

We had a wonderful experience working with Next Stage Design . We basically remodeled our entire downstairs , including our kitchen. Everything from start to finish was smooth and the whole team was very professional. The planning stages were very detailed and were worth the wait. The actual remodel went well and pretty much stayed on schedule. The workers were always very courteous and always kept our house as tidy as possible. I would recommend Next Stage Design and I would also work with them again on a future project!

I hired Next Stage for work in 3 areas: Repairing the rot on the outside wall of an enclosed patio room, redoing the shower in the master bath and putting up a wall unit in the living room. The designer, Dianne, did excellent work on the selection of tiles and fixtures for the shower and also for the configuration of the wall unit. She was attentive to the specific requests I made. The appraisal of the work needed for repairing the rot in the wall was thorough. There was no design work needed and they were able to reuse the existing windows. They were upfront about the possibility that additional problems with rot might be discovered after demolition requiring a change order. More rot was discovered and was handled with limited added cost. Everything went smoothly with good communication. There was some rescheduling from initial estimates due to subcontractor availability but changes were effectively communicated through online project-tracking website. There was one issue with the quality of work done by a subcontractor installing the wall unit. The subcontractor problem was handled effectively by the NextStage project team with good results.

Next Stage did a wonderful job for us. We are extremely pleased with our kitchen! We originally chose Next Stage over other contractors to repair our water-damaged kitchen because of their ability to rebuild and match and modify cabinetry to our existing cabinets. We also needed help with design to update and pull together our kitchen and make functional improvements while keeping the original cabinets. We liked being able to completely plan the project before starting and to have a firm idea of the price from the beginning. Our lives were overfull without this kitchen repair and we simply did not have time or energy to spend on the kitchen and yet it had to be done. We were hoping for a contractor who would do a great job without us needing to be on top of every little thing. Next Stage delivered completely and exceeded expectations. They honored our budgetary needs and our goals for the project and worked hard to come up with the best possible options within our budget. Their up-front guidance as to what could be done in what way for what approximate cost was accurate and extremely helpful, as was their guidance in updating with a view to selling in a few years. Their advice was sound; the design was excellent; everything they told us during the whole project was consistent, and there were very few surprises. Employees and contractors all showed up when expected, did excellent, efficient work, and with only one exception cleaned up the site completely at the end of each day and each task. We always knew the schedule and the reasons if changes to the schedule were required. The few surprises were resolved readily with creativity and skill. We added some work to the project along the way and Next Stage was able to handle that easily without slipping their overall schedule. We had absolute confidence in our project manager and never once felt as if we needed to watch our back with this project. Next Stage honored our wishes, our time, our home, and our budget. COVID protocol was reliably carried out and during the big third wave no one became ill. Employees, management, and contractors all liked each other and treated each other with respect. Appliances and materials suggested had glowing reviews when I looked them up - this saved us so much time. When people quote projects, they will always tell you that there are limitations in the "blend to match" approach. We were rebuilding damaged cabinets and toe kicks and integrating them with the remainder of our cabinetry. The carpenter from Next Stage did an incredible job - they fit right in and the work was beautiful. We wanted desperately to enlarge our very cramped laundry room sink. Next Stage used a very creative approach to give us an awesome laundry sink. Responses to questions and problems were incredibly quick and responsibly handled. All told, we are really happy with the project and with Next Stage. Not lowest cost, but excellent value.

Lacks integrity and accountability. They used to be called CASE San Jose and have changed their name. Contract signed Aug 2019, demolition Oct 2019. As of Oct 27, 2020, they are not finished and cutting corners trying to finish quickly. If you have a small remodel, they will not prioritize your project. Mine is a 10 ft x 10 ft townhome kitchen remodel, with addition of pocket door between a powder room and nook. Cost $150,000, not including appliances. They don't care about you, just your money. Challenges with sequencing and planning. Some errors: (1) Found a "hot" electric wire in the walls during demolition, as a courtesy said they would cap it off, put it in a blue plastic outlet box, and put a blank switch cover over it. Never happened. Drywall is up and painted, they are asking for money to fix the safety issue now (2) installed Wolf range/ Subzero refrigerator on plywood/subfloor using their appliance installers who are not Subzero-Wolf certified. Currently trying to get Subzero-Wolf to "certify" that their job passes muster, to avoid uninstalling, adding wood flooring under the fridge/range, and reinstalling correctly; (3) Didn't make a wall TV ready though in the architectural plans, (4) forgot to add a 220 volt outlet in the garage for electric car, (5) replaced a regular door with pocket door and won't finish the flooring where there was demolition, saying it's not included in the project price. (It needs a small piece of tile). There is more. I'll add later.

Next Stage Design is a trustworthy, reputable firm that does what they say they will do. They are highly available, and they do listen to your requests and needs. Their designers listen to your needs and provide multiple options. They insist on using quality products and reputable vendors. Their workers are professional and do excellent work. They use online tools to allow tracking of your project. Project costs are spread appropriate over the length of the project and are viewable via their online tool. They really care about your project. I highly recommend them.

If you are looking for a company that is a one-stop shop for both design and all phases of building, then I recommend Case. They will provide multiple design options, a comprehensive contract, assist with selection of quality materials, and provide close oversite of the work. They were on time and on budget.

Very Professional! I love working with CASE Design. They guide you through the whole remodel process with an expert team. They handle all the remodeling, subcontractors, design, and the inevitable problems that always come with remodeling. We have used them with remodeling two bathrooms and our kitchen. The work quality and expertise is superior. Highly recommend!

We've completed two big projects with Case San Jose (kitchen and the living area 3 years ago, and 3 bathrooms, recently completed), and can highly recommend them as an end-to-end firm that would stay on the project from design to completion. Case employs high quality professionals and has processes in place for all stages of remodeling. There is full transparency and great communication through the whole process. During construction, there is a dedicated project manager constantly keeping clients informed and always available to answer questions or handle any issues. Workers show up according to schedule and everybody who worked on our projects was highly reliable and professional.

CASE performed an extensive remodel of our laundry room and associated powder room, and we were extremely happy with the results as well as the process. The design as implemented turned out to be esthetically pleasing and highly functional. All the CASE people were pleasant to work with, knowledgeable, and professional. We recommend them highly.

Case did a really fantastic job with the extensive remodel in our townhome. Kitchen, master bath, living room, fireplace, dining room, guest bath and powder room. Patricia walked us through the process from start to finish. Our designer, Samantha made it easy for us to make decisions and came up with creative concepts. Jerry made the magic happen with his masterful carpentry, electrical and finish work. Many times you hear horror stories about contractors not following through, leaving jobs unfinished or outright ripping you off. Case gave us a schedule that was followed to a "T" and well supervised by Chip. We always knew which sub contractor was showing up to do a particular job each day. We are so glad we chose Case Design/Remodeling to update our home. I would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone!

We are very happy with the results of our kitchen project done by Case Design. It was completed on schedule and within the budget. The team members assigned to our project were all proficient, friendly, and listened to all our requests and addressed all our concerns. We felt the work went smoothly and would highly recommend them.

Based on our previous smaller project work with Case, they were our "go-to" company for a major effort that focused on HVAC, insulation, electrical, painting, and interior structural upgrades. I selected CASE after seeing work they did for one of my neighbors. I was looking for someone to manage all the details of my project. The team made suggestions which enhanced my original vision and the quality and attention to detail were excellent. Both phases of work were completed within the estimated timeframe. My husband and I have a small home built in 1941 and it never had any updating. We decided it was time to update. Gary, The project coordinator was our first contact with CASE, and he made a great impression on us. Then we met with their designer Jessica, and she was absolutely amazing in her concepts for our limited space. We had all new electrical, plumbing, insulation, new hardwood flooring, open concept kitchen/living room, new closets in the bedrooms, and bathroom remodeled. The entire process was not stressful, and throughout the entire experience we felt very secure in our choice to hire CASE to do our design and remodel. Our project manager Tim (aka Bubba) was on site and provided us updates daily. They said we would be back in our house in 16 weeks, and true to their word we were back in our home. Our home is now up to date, and we have a new kitchen and bathroom which are gorgeous! We couldn't be more pleased with the personnel and the dedication to customer service the folks at CASE provide. We have more projects we would like to do in the future and the only company we will use will be CASE. love love love this company!

Case did an amazing job with our home remodel and expansion! The entire Case team was professional in every way. Jim Kabel spent a great deal of time and energy to fully understand what our vision was for the project in our initial meetings. The design team provided several different concepts that we were able to collaborate with them on in order to create our perfect dream home. From the new floor plan to every little detail in the finishes, Sarah and Corina were able to find solutions that suited our family's needs and style prefereces. The construction team was outstanding! Chip did a great job in keeping the job moving along and provided daily updates on the project progress. Jerry was onsite to answer any questions we had along the way and took the time to show us the details of the work everytime we did a site visit. What I appreciated the most was they provided clear expectations every step of the way. From the design, budget, timeline and construction aspects everything was explained in detail so we knew exactly how the project would unfold. The project stayed within budget and a reasonable schedule. Once the job was completed, the team was incredibly responsive in addressing any issues or concerns that were found. Other than minor DIY projects, we had little experience with any type of construction work to our home. We were confident that Case was the right company to trust our home to and they did not disappoint!

We hired Case Design/Remodeling to upgrade our kitchen and could not be happier with the outcome! From start to finish they were a true pleasure to work with. They came to know our tastes and made recommendations that we would never have thought of. Budget was a serious consideration for us and they worked very hard to stay within our limit - there was always a solution! Everyone on the team was considerate, professional and respectful of our time and home. They always did what they said they were going to do - never any unexpected surprises. They finished on time and eagerly came back for the 2 or 3 minor tweaks we had after completion. When we're ready to re-do our bathrooms we'll call Case without even considering any other company.

We completely remodeled our home with CASE, a gargantuan effort spanning multiple projects and two years. (We did the remodel in 3 main phases since we lived in the house throughout the remodel). CASE was more expensive than the other builders we considered but their work has been worth every penny. Through all the phases of our projects, initial proposals and estimation, to construction and interior decorating, CASE has done thoughtful, detail-oriented, and high-quality work. CASE leaders were transparent with us when there was uncertainty about how long certain parts would take, and respectful in how they advised us on how to best allocate our budget. CASE employees were a part of our daily lives (even our kids got to know them) for over a year, and they were consistently friendly, professional, and courteous. All of the CASE employees we worked with were consistently responsive over email or phone, and patient with our thousands of questions. Their work is terrific and we recommend them highly.

I have had the pleasure of working with CASE on five different projects at the time of writing this recommendation. I am very impressed with their client communications, project management and organization, and project execution. The various levels of personnel that I have worked with from the owner, Jim Kabel, down to the interior designers, construction managers, and project managers are all top notch people who excel in their respective fields. We researched and interviewed 4 companies and selected Case Design & Remodel based on their interactions with us; their ability to listen and, most importantly, they returned calls and showed up for meetings as promised. Although 2 out of 3 of our original team members (due to various reasons), were unable to see our project through to completion, Sarah (our constant), Nicole and Gary were amazingly knowledgeable and professional. The team worked with us for over six months to define our project; we were never pressured to sign a contract until we were satisfied the final design was exactly what we wanted. The Case team did something everyone we talked to said could not be done: they finished on time and on budget! Each and every deadline and payment was detailed in an online calendar made available to us. Throughout the project, our concerns were addressed in a professional manner; the work crew was respectful and tidy and even mid-project changes were accommodated with no fuss. We engaged Case in late 2015 for remodeling the first floor of our house with an emphasis on redesigning the kitchen. Design stage took eight months and construction three months, finishing in September 2016. When we interviewed potential construction companies, Case stood out as very competent and process oriented. That impression was definitely true. Case professionals have great attention to detail and full understanding of the design and construction principles, as well as current laws and regulations. From design and all the way through construction, every step was clearly outlined and followed a specific process. Our design team was fantastic. They were very attentive to our needs and taste. The way our house is situated combined with our requirements, presented multiple challenges. However our designers came up with a solution that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing and provided the most efficient utilization of space. During construction, it was clear that Case employs and engages craftsmen of the highest level. The whole process ran as smoothly as possible considering the scope of the project. When few issues (inevitably) came up, Case promptly responded to our concerns and quickly resolved the issues to our satisfaction. In the end, we were very pleased with how beautiful and functional our home became. We would highly recommend Case to others and definitely engage them again for the future projects.

The team at Case Design listened to my needs and thoughts. The Design staff were respectful and together we created a beautiful bathroom, that reflects the personality of our home and us. The contractor portion of the staff were respectful of our home. Always took care to not damage other parts of our home and explained things, whenever I needed. The contractors were trustworthy and genuinely nice. I enjoyed working with this company and when we do our next re-model, we will be sure to use them again.

Case did a total remodel of our Kitchen, Dining room and Family room. We had asked for and given permission to use our own resources for some of the work. We used their design person and were pleased with the results. We used our own cabinet maker and had no problems with interaction between the two companies. The project took much longer than expected and over budget but the end results were worth it. We were given price breakdowns and a time schedule every week as things changed. We wouldn't hesitate using Case for any future projects.

My husband and I hired Case to remodel our master bath. Upon meeting the team I knew I was in good hands. Their suggestions and designs were always in tune with my needs. I am pleased with my new bathroom..Very pleased.

We chose Case Design to remodel our master bathroom as we were pleased with our bathroom refresh a couple of years ago. This was an even more comprehensive project and from start to finish we were well taken care of. Project management, design, logistics, and coordination with subcontractors was very smooth overall. We are very pleased with the timeliness and management of the entire experience, as well as with the friendly and personal care we were shown by everyone. When working with Case Design, we rest easy knowing that the service we receive is caring and complete.

I had a great experience working with Case Design/Remodeling company. I am a busy mom that works part-time and has 3 small children. Our kitchen remodel when smoothly and was completed in the time frame I needed within the budget we set. I get complements all the time on the work, and couldn't be more happy. All the workers were professional and the design team helped me get the look I was going for. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

The Case team and their subcontractors are courteous, professional, and efficient. Our bathroom remodel was completed on budget, on time, and with a very high level of quality. When there were issues, Case addressed them calmly, quickly, and always to our 110% satisfaction. I felt comfortable leaving our home in their care. They are not the least expensive contractor you could hire, but you get what you pay for. I don't know too many other people who had such a good remodeling experience as we had! We will definitely use Case for our future remodeling projects, and recommend them highly.

As a vendor rep, I get to work with all aspects of the design community and my experience in the field allows me access to different calibers of businesses. The team at Case Design is truly a joy to work with because they are talented, multi-faceted, organized, and conscientious. It is one thing to have a great eye for design, but quite another thing to have a full team that can execute vision with taste and attentiveness. I recently had the pleasure of collaborating with the ladies from Case on a huge design launch in San Francisco's Treasure Island. I could not have been more proud of their selections, renderings, and ideas. Their contribution made my event a huge success.

We have utilized CASE for handyman work and for several major projects. All their people are great, front office to the workers at my home. I am comfortable with CASE, they've been pleasant, knowledgeable, easy to work with. They respect my house, they don't trample through, they clean up and they get the job done right.

We hired Case with the original plan of replacing a kitchen island with new appliances and countertop material (granite). Impressed with their knowledge and advice, we expanded the plan to include the surrounding countertops, sinks, and lighting improvements. We commenced the project with an agreement encompassing Case's drawings and specifications, as amplified with our detailed point-by-point description. The business arrangement was clear, including payments for progress milestones. The project progressed pretty much on schedule and as envisioned. (Since our kitchen was out of service we needed to arrange alternative places to prepare and clean up simple meals such as breakfast and lunch.) We had an immediate positive rapport with Case's main project craftsman, and kept in close touch with day-to-day arrivals and daily goals. As expected some plans needed changing once the wallboard in those areas was removed (mainly switch and outlet locations), and a couple of "favors" were done that were not part of the documented plans. He did a good job keeping the workplace reasonably clean and trash promptly removed. We had a bit of a problem when the main carcase of the new kitchen island was delivered. As background, the original cabinet maker that we had met with and described our needs, became unavailable, and a substitute was called in. They made an error in the position of a couple of the internal structural panels, which ultimately reduced the availability of usable shelf and drawer space. (We have since adjusted to the condition.) A major concern was the match of granite from an existing 25 year old eating bar that was to be intimately joined with new granite countertops. We had approved and purchased the slabs that would be used for the new parts...but we couldn't be really sure how good the match would be. We discussed details at length with the company owner. They performed very well and the results are outstanding. We have been using our new kitchen for a while, and this recent Thanksgiving posed the ultimate test. Everything worked as planned, a distinct improvement from the original kitchen. While Case needed to work within the existing floor plan and our directive design inputs, the project was completed essentially on time, with the expected quality, at the cost as projected. We are very happy with the outcome!

We selected Case Design & Remodeling from a field of contractors because they had a proven record of not only strong design, but construction quality. Case didn't disappoint us on our kitchen, pantry, family room, bathroom remodel. Charlotte Tully, the designer, successfully incorporated our wish list while balancing the budget. We are delighted with the design, quality of construction, as well as the overall experience and would not hesitate to recommend Case. On a final note, we understand Charlotte's design just won a Nari Award which is further validation of Case's quality work.

My husband and I Used Case Design/Remodeling to update our 1970's kitchen. They were fabulous to work with. We were new to remodeling and the best thing about them was that they had everything "in-house". Kristie was our designer and she was terrific at understanding our needs and desires for the look of our new kitchen. During the process the Case Team was always on time when they said they'd arrive and at the end of each day there was never any dirt or debris left anywhere! I would recommend this company without a doubt. After two years we are COMPLETELY happy with our kitchen and it's functionality. Thank you to Case and the team, Jeanie, Kristie, Eric and Adam.

Used Case Design/Remodeling for our bathroom remodel this summer. I'm thrilled with the design the team came up with and the craftsman did an amazing job navigating some hidden surprises (pipes in unusual places, vents in the way, inaccessible electrical). We are now enjoying our beautiful bathroom and couldn't be more pleased.

The largest cost of our house remodel was in our master bathroom. Last time we remodeled the bathroom was about 15 years ago and we decided to remove the bathtub and replace it with a full shower. This required removal of the old marble and tub, relining the shower, putting in new marble and fixtures. We used Cardinal full sliding glass door for the replacement. I was amazed with how close the new marble shower stall compared to the old marble. The tile installer Case hired did amazing job to the point, the glass door installer commented he didn't have to do anything to level the wall/floor. The bathroom looks like a totally new room. Also we put in new crown molding and larger baseboard in every room. Excellent installation and added elegance to the entire house. I was particularly impressed with rounded cornered crown molding. It looks like it's been there forever. Other work done, new French Door in the master room, new front entrance, installation of gas fireplace, new shower hardware in all bathrooms and painting inside and outside.

We had a couple of bizarre closets in our house right next to each other. One was so deep you could climb in and not be found again. The second was very thin. On the other side of the house we had our washer and dryer that you had to do gymnastics to load and unload. The goal was to make the two bizarre closets (and take a little space from another room) and make a new home for the washer and dryer. We interviewed several companies and Case came out on top in every category. They were professional, clearly had experience, and great ideas. This trend went all the way through the project. I have worked on houses and with companies for nearly 15 years. By far this was the best one. When they were into the project tearing out walls they were very conscientious of our one major request. Don't lose our cat. He is very sneaky and likes to slip out doors. No lost cat after three weeks of work. It was nice that they took that seriously. Every family has these quirks. It is nice to know they address them and can work around them. They also deal really well with changes. Every so often you come up with a new idea while the project is going. They have a good process to show you the impact and do the work (or not depending on what you want). Overall they came up with really neat ideas, listened to and incorporated ours, and were really nice to work with. Can't wait for the next project.

My experience with Case Design/Remodeling in San Jose has been wonderful, and I plan to continue working with them as I slowly remodel/renovate my entire townhouse. From the beginning, the staff at Case listened to my vision of how I wanted my bathroom remodeled. They provided helpful information, created a visual so that I could step back and see if I wanted to change any part of my design/plan, and the work they performed was thorough and very professional. They worked within my budget, and even had suggestions on how I could save some money by changing a few pieces of my plan. I have been enjoying my new bathroom and love how it turned out. We had 2 bathrooms, 35 years old that we intended to remodel, leaving the plumbing and furnishings in the same position, but basically gutting them and bringing them into the 21st Century. Jim (owner) and Kristi (designer) were easy to work with and took the time to understand our needs and budget. They did a good job of managing changes as we encountered issues (the house was 35 years old, you have to expect something!). To keep to budget they were amenable to letting us acquire decorative items (plumbing fixtures; custom cabinets, etc.) and forgoing the markup associated with their managing the suppliers and carrying the charges, while allowing us to use their discount. Their workers and contractors were all very professional and did the professional level of quality work you would expect. The supervisor/workers did a great job of managing the contractors and keeping to schedule. CASE delivered to spec, on time and on budget. We would recommend them and use them again.

I was looking for a company that could turn my vision of me dream home theater into a reality and found Case Design and Remodeling in San Jose. When I presented my project, they were very upfront that they had never done a project like this before but they were willing to work with me on it. The design aspect was handled very diligently and professionally as we went through the revisions due to the constraint of the room dimensions. Once we were in construction, Case was very accommodating as I made many field changes based on how the physical construction looked as it was being laid out. Their work experience was extremely helpful in determining the best way to work around my many field changes.

For a two parent working family - Case San Jose, in our opinion, is hands down the best company to work with (after reviewing many) They take care of everything, down to the last minuet detail. Yet they will keep you informed of everything they are going to do, when they are going to do it, how they are going to do it , and, how much it will cost before starting the project. Their in-house design team puts together such creative ideas that I would never of thought of myself. And the completed projects we have seen done by their carpenters ( licensed and bonded I will add!) are beautiful. We are very confident when our master bath and entry remodel is complete the value of our home will increase more per square feet than we paid (actually I know it will, we already worked out the numbers). Wish I could give them ten stars. We feel so incredibly thankful to have hired them for our kitchen remodeling project. This is an old fashioned, quality company. They have every step so orchestrated it's unbelievable. They communicate with us ( via email ) at the end of every week to inform us what's happening the next week. There are no surprises. Every worker has approached us, introduced themselves and given us their contact info incase we have any questions or concerns . They have made this entire process so stress free we can't wait to tackle another project. They also have a handyman division which we will definitely use in the future.

CASE Design/Remodeling San Jose recently completed a Bathroom remodel for us. This was our FIFTH design/remodel contract with CASE, and once again CASE performed to our highest expectations. The scope of work included complete redesign, recommending materials and suppliers, demolishing the existing bathroom including removing the tub, building the new bathroom (framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall), installing or coordinating subcontractors to build a new vanity, new shower, install finished plumbing including a new Toto toilet with washlet, install finished electrical including new LED lighted mirror and exhaust fan, install porcelain tile floor & shower including wainscot tile behind the toilet, install clear glass shower enclosure, and handle all permits and inspections. My primary contacts were Dianne Daily, designer; Tim Kistler, project manager; Glenn Tirado, lead remodeling technician; and Kim Austin, Remodeling Consultant. I also had contact with Jim Kabel, the owner, several others employed by CASE, and all subcontractors. I found CASE to be thoroughly professional. Each member was friendly and interactive. Communication between my wife and me and members of CASE was frequent and detailed. We had a tight timeline to complete the design & remodel job for our bathroom. In addition, we were looking for design ideas to make our bathroom sparkle. Dianne contributed a unique wainscot design that carried right through into the shower that gave us a look we loved! CASE was superb at managing project execution, both by CASE employees and by subcontractors. CASE handled demolition, framing and electrical. Subcontractors handled plumbing, vanity fabrication & installation; granite fabrication & installation; drywall installation & texturing; tile & shower enclosure installation; and painting. All work was scheduled and executed crisply, and the quality of work was top-grade. CASE subcontractors contributed materially with design techniques and superb craftsmanship. The project was tightly managed and completed on budget within a day of the original target date! While this project once again demonstrated excellent teamwork and execution by all CASE employees and subcontractors involved, Dianne Daily, Glenn Tirado and Tim Kistler of CASE and Jim Rypstra of KC Tile really stood out. Each contributed what I consider to be artistry in their respective fields that was key in creating the superb result we enjoyed. Summary: Once again, we were very happy with the job CASE Design/Remodel did for us. This is the major reason we have come back to CASE FIVE times for all our remodeling!

Case did a complete kitchen and dining area remodel for us. I chose Case because of the great reviews they received on Angie's List. They did not disappoint. I am a critical person and have very rarely had a result that exceeded my best expectations. This project was one that exceeded expectations by leaps and bounds. Here are some of the highlights of why I rate them so highly: Initial response: set the tone with prompt return of email by Jill, a delightful employee who determined what I wanted and set up the first appointment at my home with a designer and remodeling specialist. Consultation with the designer and specialist: had a great first meeting with Mike and Kristie, designer and we quickly determined what I wanted. They were right on time. That is the rule at CASE. All of the people were on time every time throughout the entire remodel. Design Process: Kristie came back a few weeks later, as promised, with 3 designs, one of which, was exactly what I had in mind, and so we decided to move forward. I also gave her ideas on colors and style and she brought samples which were spot on. She really listened to what I wanted and we quickly made decisions on granite, cabinets, backsplash, appliances. Production: the actual construction/remodeling work is managed by Production Manager, Eric Copus, who is a master at what he does. Not only is he a terrific manager of his people, he is also one of the most amazing, customer focused individuals I have ever dealt with. He listens, makes everything hassle free, and is always ready with a resolution if things go off target. If I felt something was not right, he immediately responded and always gave fair assessments and made it right. He was always available and responded to my emails within minutes most every time. The crew: the CASE guys that worked at my house (Adam, Graham and Glenn) were just terrific in every way. They are all extremely skilled in their particular craft and they were respectful to me and to each other. Plus they were just plain fun and a delight to have around. Jeanie in the office, always made sure I knew who was coming and when. Subcontractors: CASE has a superb cabinet maker, Jay Silva, who is a true artisan. My cabinets are gorgeous!!! Plumbers, painters, tile layers (Jim was fantastic) and granite fabricators, etc are all exceptional. Only sub I was not excited was the dry wall company. I was not happy with the texture; but CASE agreed and had it redone at no cost. That is just how they do things. I am not saying that they would redo things frivolously, but if you have a legitimate concern they are all over it. The level of workmanship was topnotch; everything turned out so well and I am thrilled with my new kitchen. After the remodel was over I met with Jim Kabel who owns CASE, and I quickly understood that his leadership makes this company sing. I gave him feedback, both positive and constructive. He was so receptive and explained to me that the team critiques every project, and makes appropriate tweaks and changes to their processes based on the project results and client satisfaction. I am already working on a second project with CASE that involves a media room/study remodel and laundry room update. I highly recommend this company!

After interviewing 12 contractors, we hired Case Remodeling to do what turned out to be a whole-house remodel. They re-designed and re-configured our kitchen, updated our fireplace and family room (it was added to 77 Ideabooks here on Houzz - too cool!), pull and replace our bathrooms, replace our flooring, and remove our popcorn ceilings. I have to say that I was impressed by them from the get-go. They listened to everything we had to say, as opposed to some contractors who brushed off our ideas. They realized that we weren't made of money, so there had to be a budget, where other contractors simply asked us to "trust them." They took our basic ideas and made them SO MUCH better. The designer we had gave us great options in the design. We worked with the designer and took the pieces we liked from each of her proposed designs to make the final design one that we totally loved. Our kitchen is a delight to be in, it has room for at least 15 people to dine, and many more to congregate and munch. Our family room is a warm and inviting room where we spend lots of time. We had ample input in to the design, and we were absolutely thrilled with the results. I truly appreciated that when we worked with Case, their designers, and their employees, they were incredibly knowledgeable, and they were honest. We didn't get a lot of "well...maybe..." talk, we got straightforward answers and reasonable estimates, regarding both time and money. They were realistic about what could and what couldn't be done, they were realistic about time frames and availability, and they didn't disappoint us. We'd recommend them - any time. Seriously.
