My husband and I have been working with Nicole Yee of NY Interiors for over two years on the renovation of our home in Montclair. I have dubbed Nicole “The Design Goddess,” for her uncanny ability to blend our disparate styles into a space that seamlessly integrated them to create a home that represents us both. This was no easy task! As an interior designer, Nicole offers so much more than just color palettes, furniture and the like. She presented four new designs of our existing blueprint for us to consider, and we ultimately chose the one that increased functionality and flow by utilizing an open floor plan. She is an absolute delight to work with and employs diplomacy and skill to guide her clients in the right direction. Our home is a wonderful mix of old (our existing furniture, art, etc.), and new, with eclectic touches and finishes that truly make it unique. I highly recommend NY interiors to anyone in need of design services to enhance or transform their space into a piece of living art.

Nicole was great right from the start. She recommended several little changes in my kitchen during the first consultation that made a huge difference. Working with her was seamless from the design, ordering, installation and finish. Her contractor was also very instrumental in pulling together sudden changes in the design, she has a great team. All in all, as a result of Nicole’s hard work, I have a mid-century modern dinning rom, living room, and kitchen that would rival the set of “Mad Man”. I plan to work with her again to re-design my home office and library.

Nicole did an amazing job designing my master suite this past spring. I hired Nicole again since she helped design my great room 5 years ago. She already knew my style and esthetic so she was able to pinpoint exactly what I wanted. I couldn't imagine doing any remodeling project without Nicole's guidance. She can see my vision, execute it and elevate it beyond my dream. She is always very accessible and returns my calls, texts and emails extremely promptly. I know she works very hard especially when I read the time stamp on some of her emails that are posted at the wee hours of the night. Thanks to Nicole, my house doesn't look like a couple of college kids live here. Instead my house looks sophisticated and modern; I'm so proud of my house now!

I have worked with Nicole Yee of NY Interiors for over 12 years. During that period, she has helped us remodel (with varying degrees of budget) three different houses with completely different architectural styles. We started out with her doing a re-design and staging, then helping to spruce things up with new accessories. Fairly quickly, that work translated into full kitchen, family room, and bathroom remodels. Last year she handled a complex backyard project which involved everything from design concept to overseeing every detail of implementation and those special final touches. She is now overseeing a full front yard remodel with the same attention to detail and creative eye that she has exhibited since we first starting working together. Each time she has been brilliant--from closely managing expenses to saving us from some potentially significant mistakes to doing a masterful job finding pieces of all different types at stunningly affordable prices. After an extensive review of local designers, we hired Nicole to help us redecorate the first floor of our home. This included work in our dining room, living room, entry hall and family room. Nicole worked with us to select colors; fabrics; window coverings; carpets; paint, accessories. She also helped with art selection, framing and placement. Nicole was fabulous to work with: 1)She listens carefully to understand our taste and preferences; 2)She works with us on a time schedule and budget and manages to that time schedule and budget; 3)She has excellent taste, a creative eye, and a beautiful sense of style; 4)She presents several options (all of which were beautiful!) and helps us decide on the best one for our home; 4)She makes sure all of the details get completed; 4)She is very sensitive to the intrusion (noise, mess and schedule disruption) that house remodeling places on a family and she works hard to minimize the disruption; 5)She is energetic, kind and fun to work with. We absolutely love the results of our work with Nicole and plan to work with her again when we undertake other design projects in our home.
