I worked with Platinum for a moderate remodel: turning a bedroom into a laundry room, installing a car charger, changing some sink fixtures, adding chair railings, and installing a bidet. A bunch of things to get a new house we bought ready for us to move in. Oh yeah, and we were hundreds of kilometers away throughout this whole process. They were fantastic to work with through the whole process, from clear design drawings, to video chat in the house when they had questions, to readable and understandable invoices. I always knew where we stood and very much appreciated the weekly summaries of progress with pictures. I'd absolutely recommend the team at Platinum Contracting for other folks' remodels.

Platinum Contracting recently completed a major renovation to our 100-year-old home. We couldn't be happier with both the results and the process. In over 40 years of home ownership, we have had 4 different houses and a number of projects big and small, but this was our best experience ever. Quality of work: We are thrilled with the results, and a number of visitors, some quite knowledgeable about these things have remarked on the superb craftmanship. Planing and budget: Before the work began, the planning was careful and detailed. While many helpful suggestions were made and accepted by us, they were always guided by our wishes. Their suggestions were always about how they thought we could better achieve our vision. A number of those suggestions were ways to save money. At no point was there a hint of "up-selling." The project itself went exactly as planned and precisely ON BUDGET, which I've never heard of on a project of this size (about 300 thousand dollars). In our experience overruns are often caused by our realizing that we wanted, or needed things we hadn't anticipated. The amazing thing about this project was that they had helped us to anticipate absolutely everything. People: The principals of Platinum, Mike and Kia, were wonderful. We felt they became friends. They were always in communication with us and were friendly and helpful. All the workers they employed were not only skilled, but shared these personal qualities. We feel this is very important. You practically live with these people for months, and we here happy and comfortable having them in our house throughout. Mike and Kia were also completely responsible and honest. They took full responsibility for everything, including liaison with people like Telus not directly in their employ, taking it upon themselves to solve problems for us not of their making. On one occasion there was a problem. because the planner was off by about a 1/4", a refrigerator door did not open completely. But everything was still accessible and we were quite prepared to live with it. But they insisted this was not acceptable and fixed the problem, entirely at their own expense. Again, we could not be happier.

This was our first time working with a general contractor, and we appreciated the team’s willingness to guide us through the process, communicate openly, and reliably deliver on the vision we designed. Kia and his team were extremely informative throughout the entire project. We did a major renovation for our new home and Platinum did a great job. Since this was our first big renovation project, the team was very helpful and walked us through the project, answering all the questions that we had. After completion, the team also followed up with the small adjustments and touch-ups that needed to be made. The final result turned out to be amazing and my family is very happy with the new house. These guys are total pros. I needed a bathroom renovation but was all over place with what I was looking for and how I wanted it done. During my initial consultation, we went over all the details and the helped narrow down my ideas. Once we established what it was I was looking for... We started looking into different options that fit my budget. Once the job started, their team came in and handled everything quite fast (I think... I don't know much about renovations) and were very good about cleaning up when they were done for the day. All in all... I'm really satisfied with my first renovation job with Kia and Miki and will be hiring them in the future.

I have hired this company several times over the years for smaller miscellaneous jobs required around my home. They provided an efficient service for my needs at a good cost respecting my budget every time Last fall, their team helped me complete a major renovation of my 36 year old home. The team at Platinum Renovations & contracting helped us to update and redesign the main level of our home. They changed the flooring, painted, gutted and redid the bathroom, etc. I am very thankful that they were able to provide good value by accommodating my budget and timeline to transform this space which was in need of a complete makeover.
