RDM General Contractors was founded in 1982 as an architectural and general contracting firm. Upon enjoying rapid growth and success, founder Robert McCarthy restructured and streamlined the company in 1991. This refinement allowed the firm to hone its construction technique and flexibility to build high-quality luxury homes with expediency in a competitive marketplace. Today, the company is proud to have Principals Chris Lindsay, Scott Willson and Robert McCarthy at the helm, who jointly oversee every project. Robert and his team are a real joy to work with. They recently finished a beautiful home for our clients in Corona del Mar, and they, couldn't be happier with the results. Neither could we! I have worked with many general contractors along the South Orange County beach cities for 35 years. Robert McCarthy stands out among that group in many ways. First he has a place of business open during regular business hours. It is not a home based business. Robert Runs the business directly but each home has a project supervisor that monitors the progress to maintain quality control. For the most part all of his subcontractors have worked for him for decades. These subcontractors work together behind the scenes to make sure each application will meld together seamlessly. Unlike most home construction projects Robert has a construction cleaning crew in your home every Friday to make your home presentable and safe for your inspection along with your friends & family over the weekend. With multiple levels of quality control you are assured a well built home that will last many lifetimes.

This company built my 3,150 finished square foot house with 150 unfinished and 550 covered patio space in exactly nine months from breaking ground to move in, and was on budget! I've never dealt with such professionals in the residential construction industry and I have done extensive remodeling to 5 homes over the years.

He was always available if any questions arose, and was so polite to our Foreman, and all of our Wood Floor Installers.
