We have completed several jobs for Red House Custom Building throughout the course of last year. Their attention to detail, excellent communication, great staff and professionalism make for a great partnership. There is nothing better working with a company like Red House!

Justin Zeller’s Red House Team has come through for me on multiple project. As a fellow contractor, I can do a lot, but when the job is super complex, intricate, or needs the complete design-build package: this is the company I call. Highly recommend them and I will be using them again!

We did have a rocky start but it was a rebuild after a fire and I am sure we were all over the place. The finished product is something we could not have been more happy with! Team Leader Leon was extremely personable and very easy to work with. The onsite team definitely went above and beyond their daily job duties to make sure we were happy (we were stopping by daily). Have hired them again since completeion with favorable results.

We are absolutely in love with the transformation Red House completed in our home. The quality and standard of service is and has been top notch from the day we started working with Red House until completion of our project. Justin and his team listened to all of our needs and concerns and worked within the budget we had. Tim, our project manager, always responded to our questions or concerns in a timely manner. The carpentry team, Dave and Bob, were always on time and respectful when working in our home. Their attention to detail and cleanliness were impeccable. We loved working with Red House and look forward to working with them in the future.

My new master bathroom is beautiful and I love it. Red House did an awesome job. Took a bit longer than I had hoped but in the end I am very happy. The Red House Team were all very polite, punctural, and always cleaned up after themselves. It didn't take long for me to hire them for another project.

Owning a historic home means that there are always projects to be completed. We have worked with Red House on a number of projects, most recently a masonry project involving our front stairs. I met with Justin of Red House Custom Building to go over options to remove load bearing walls in our home. Justin made great suggestions and made sure he discussed if the thoughts I had would have a good return on investment. I am looking forward to moving forward on the project. The roof on our house is not huge but is very complex, and had three layers of shingles. It had leaked two winters in a row due to damage from ice dams, causing significant water damage in our home. In the winters following the ice dams, we had to go up on the roof and completely clear it to prevent further leaking. It was so nerve racking; both being on the roof in the wind and snow, sometimes late at night, and, the anxiety caused by worrying what would happen if we didn't, or couldn't, get it off in time and another ice dam formed. We called a couple different roofing contractors and the prices were all over the place, and none of the quotes included removal of the third layer. We didn't want any surprises! So when we called Red House, and explained everything, they had no problem giving us an accurate quote including removal of the third layer. John arrived to the estimate on time, and he took his time looking at everything, and was kind and respectful. We had plans for our old house, in addition to the necessary roof repair, that we were considering hiring Red House for, and John patiently listened to our ideas and politely stepped over our four kids' toys and laundry while we described how the layout of our 3 bed 109 yr old house was not working for our family of 6. John took notes and told us he'd speak to the owner, Justin, about coming out to talk to us in more detail about our project, and in the meantime would get us the roof estimate. Honestly, based on the service and professionalism, and the fact that Red House is a design-build firm, we didn't think we'd be able to afford them, but, to our surprise, the price we were quoted was right in line with our runner-up. Obviously, we chose Red House, based on those two factors. The process of replacing the roof was flawlessly executed, from start to finish. In fact, it only took ONE DAY, despite being so "cut up" and being estimated at 4 days. They brought extra guys to get it done as quickly as possible so our crazy schedule would be disrupted any more than necessary. I left that day with my old roof 1/4 removed and came home to a new one fully installed 8 hrs later! And, my yard looked better than it did before. In the weeks following, I found maybe 1 or 2 small pieces of roof around the yard, but, to be fair, they might have been there from all the times we had to shovel the roof (which damages it somewhat). Oh, and the dumpster was hanging around for a week, but when I spoke to John about it, and the gutter that was not reattached properly, he responded swiftly, and apologetically. Both issues were resolved ASAP, as promised. Oh, and the quote was spot on. We only had to pay a little over $100 more than planned, for some lumber which no one could have planned for. It was less than 1% difference. You can't beat that! Now that we've gotten some snow, and there are no ice dams and no leaks, I am even happier than I was before. It's such a huge weight lifted off our shoulders, to not have to worry about the roof when it snows. My husband never has to worry about me falling and breaking my back (or worse) because I was on the roof shoveling snow after working a 12 hr shift during a storm. Now we just have to clear our cars and driveway like normal folks. And, in regards to our other plans, because of the excellent work and spot on budgeting of our roof, we have decided to hire Red House to almost completely remodel our second floor. What really tipped the scales was the genuine, totally sincere interest on the part of Justin and John in helping us make this house, and our budget, work for us. We have never felt like just "clients." We even got a Christmas card! I have recommended Red House to everyone who will listen. If anyone reading this is thinking about hiring them, whether for a renovation or for a maintenance project like a roof, please do give Red House the opportunity to prove this review's accuracy. You won't regret it.

Overall Red House was tremendous and helped us complete a master bath, bedroom and mudroom. They have returned to fix a few items that were missed. We appreciated the extra help with the design processes.

Attention to detail at its finest! Red House is your go to when it comes to homes with Fine Finishes. Their team of highly skilled carpenters provided a great finish product for my home in Rehoboth, MA. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Justin and his team throughout the entire process.
