Thorin at Oakenshield Kitchens was amazing to work with. He's super knowledgeable and really took the time to work with us on our kitchen renovation. He was always available for questions, very communicative and delivered on everything we requested. We wanted to pack a lot into a small space and Thorin did a fantastic job working and reworking the layout to get us everything we wanted. We were so impressed with the layout he landed on, and couldn't be happier with the results. We also loved that Oakenshield was a one stop shop for everything we needed. We got all cabinetry, flooring, countertops and hardware through them and are so happy with the quality and more importantly the price. 10/10 recommend!

I was recommended to Oakenshield kitchen by another contractor that was doing work on my house. My plan was to completely remodel my kitchen. I got a quote from another local kitchen designer to remodel my kitchen. Oakenshield came in slightly under the competitor in terms of price and gave me much nicer cabinets than the competitors offering. I gave Thorin a call and he came down to my house and measured everything. He asked us basic questions on the general layout of how we wanted the kitchen. A few days later we setup an appointment to visit his showroom. During this appointment we were able to pick out the cabinets, flooring, counter top and hardware. He was in constant communication with us and kept us up to date with any deliveries. After another contractor came in to install the cabinets he setup an appointment for the counter top guys to come out and make a template. A few days later they came back to install the counters. During the whole process, I had two minor issues neither of which was Oakenshields fault. It was actually the manufacturer fault. Thorin addressed both issues with the manufacturer and made sure we were happy. All in all, I got a gorgeous kitchen for a fair price from a guy who was a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend Oakenshield kitchen for any of your kitchen remodeling needs.

We found the website for Oakenshield Kitchens, quite by accident when looking for a kitchen designer. After speaking to Thorin, we invited him to our house to see our kitchen, and to describe the work that we wanted done. He promptly followed up with a visit to our home, and almost immediately I knew we had found the perfect designer for us. (Admittedly, I was influenced by not only his manner and personality but also with his name and his company's name. My son had been a huge Hobbit fan!). Thorin guided me through options for cabinets and counters. He always responded promptly to my questions. I did have a good sense of what I envisioned, and Thorin was able to match my vision with a style I loved. He never compromised on quality while staying within the budget we had. I am very concerned with products that meet environmental and safety standards. From his recommendations, I was able to select both a countertop and cabinets that met these standards, while blending in with the existing cabinets that I wanted to keep. Thorin, also, recommended a wondetful and local company to do the installation (Tekra Builders). They worked closely with Thorin throughout the process. Everything was delivered and completed in the timeline given. Thorin has a strong artistic sense which is immediately evident when you see his showroom. Without any reservation, five stars, for sure!!!

I had the pleasure of working with Thorin from Oakenshield Kitchens on a kitchen project for a new custom home in lake George, NY. We decided to go with Fabuwood cabinets. Thorin was very professional, knowledgeable and efficient in the design process. He drove over two hours on delivery day to make sure all the components were on site. I personally installed all the cabinets and can attest to a problem free installation. The cabinet quality and value was excellent and any defects/ scratches were quickly resolved by Thorin.
