Our experience working with Sam and his crew was fantastic, from before the project started, through construction, to after we moved in. Sam recommended a realtor that helped sell our home and acquire the property that eventually became our dream home. He interfaced well with the architects, engineers, and permitting office to make sure things went smoothly. He even investigated and took classes about a new product required to meet our city’s building green codes. He kept us up to date throughout the project, whether the update was good or the infrequent bad. He works with trusted subcontractors who are glad to repeat work with him, keeping the quality of work consistently high. During the process, he helped us make small tweaks or design choice updates that elevated the project, even going so far as to invite us to his home to see his flooring recommendation. We loved working with Sam and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for new construction or renovations.

We hired The Alhadeff Group to build a 2nd addition to our split-level home. Because of the design of the addition, we were able to stay in our home during the construction and see how the project progressed. 2 years later, our addition is in wonderful shape with no construction issues, which shows that the contractors the Group uses are good at their trade. Everyone was very nice and polite, arrived on time and left no messes behind and the project was completed in a timely manner.

We had a fantastic experience working with Sam on several projects, including expanding our deck, repairing our gutters, and painting the exterior of our home. The quality of his work is excellent, and it’s clear he takes a lot of pride in what he does. Our home looks amazing and we always receive compliments on our beautiful deck. Sam is friendly, easy to communicate with, and kept us updated throughout the project. He always checked in on the details to make sure everything was done the way we wanted, which we really appreciated. Sam and his team over the course of several projects remodeled our kitchen and downstairs and then did an addition for us over the garage. The work was of the best quality and we love it all today as much as we did the day they did the work. Sam was always honest and a great communicator.

Sam and his team did an amazing job with a complete renovation of our late 80's PNW contemporary. We gutted the top 3 floors which included all the main entertaining areas and bedrooms, as well as adding a bedroom with en suite bath. It was a pretty significant project with lots of moving pieces, but Sam kept everything moving forward and on track. We were so pleased with the overall result that we had the team back a year later to redo our rooftop terrace with a new glass railing!!

We loved our house when we bought it 10 years ago, but we LOVE our home even more now after completely renovating the first floor. The reno included full kitchen, laundry room, powder room, master bath suite, lighting, painting, and flooring. The remodel changed the look, feel, and functionality of our home and we are still getting compliments from friends and neighbors. Sam and his team of quality sub-contractors were wonderful to work with! Were there challenges during the 3 month reno? Of course! It is construction after all! But Sam quickly responded to our concerns, communicated with his team, and made the necessary corrections. One of the things we appreciated was how ‘clean’ his team worked – we didn’t feel like we were living in a hard hat zone full of dust and debris. Sam and his crew were GREAT! We are super happy with our kitchen/bath remodel, and we get tons of compliments on the work they did. It's a little hard to believe it's even the same house we used to live in...

Sam is the absolute best! We did a whole house remodel with him - truly to the studs for the entire house including basement, main and top floor. We did all new systems (plumbing, electrical, insulation, etc.) and reframed and reimagined our home. Sam is communicative, dedicated and we never wondered if our project would be finished when he said it would be. His team is thoughtful and truly dedicated to ensuring your house is the best they know it can be. He connected us with an amazing designer who helped us with the configuration of our home, finishes, etc. I never worried about his team being in our home, around our family, and knowing that they were there to do the best job on our behalf. The finished product is beautiful and we feel fortunate to live in an Alhadeff Group home. And even better, we feel fortunate to be able to tell people that we had the best experience with our builder while so many people describe their experience as a nightmare - couldn't be further from our experience with Sam. We trusted him and his team, they trusted us and we had a great experience. Would recommend him to anyone (and have!) and would work with him again in a heartbeat.

Sam did an incredible job and was great to work with throughout the entire process. He constantly provided us updates and was really informative throughout building our home as we were first time homeowners. Whenever we had questions about design choices or construction choices, he would provide us with a range of options, both in price and quality, that made us feel great about our decisions. The final product also looks amazing and we are so happy with how everything turned out. We love our new home and we owe it all to Sam's tireless work.

I cannot speak enough about how glad I am that I hired Sam of The Alhadeff Group! We did a full gut remodel on our 1907 home in North Capitol Hill and literally every single inch of the property was transformed by Sam and his subcontractors. After 9.5 months of work, and no waiting for permits thanks to Sam's negotiation skills with the city, we couldn't be happier with how beautiful, high quality, and sound our home is and I know it'll last another 100+ years thanks to his craftsmanship and expertise. I interviewed 8 contractors I found through Houzz and referrals before landing on Sam as my contractor of choice. What made me choose Sam was his friendly, straightforward nature (I trusted him immediately!), design partnership with Renee Antezana from Pineapple-ID (loved her taste and the fact that she had a great friendship and working relationship with Sam), and lack of obvious overhead (he works out of his home office and has no full-time employees other than himself). I would highly recommend Sam to anyone looking for a contractor for medium-large home renovations or new builds who prioritize transparency, value, and quality. I now consider Sam a friend and would definitely hire him again for any future projects!

Sam is professional and easy to work with. He insists on the highest standards on his projects and takes responsibility end to end. Sam is also our friendly and helpful neighbor who has taught me tons of knowledge about maintaining a house.!

Sam worked beautifully with my husband and myself as well as our structural and landscape architects to make our huge outdoor remodel of decks, entryway stairs, walk-ways, garages, and driveway a reality. He was exceedingly knowledgeable and we always felt he had our best interests in mind, in fact we had a mantra during our remodel: "Sam worries so we don't have to!" We have already recommended him to family and friends.

Sam and his crew did a great job on demolishing and removing our old deck an building a new deck. They made suggestions that improved the stability of the deck and are highly skilled.

Sam and The Alhadeff Group did a wonderful job renovating the extremely outdated kitchen and dining room of our 1940s home. Sam worked to understand our vision and was adaptable and flexible as work proceeded. In old houses there are always surprises, and Sam helped us to navigate these surprises - including updating electrical and troubleshooting some small water leaks. Sam was extremely conscientious of our budget and fears as new freestanding-home owners, helping us to understand our house. Sam was also available via email, phone, and in person, including coming by early on a Sunday morning when a big rain brought up a minor issue during construction. I always felt confident in the quality of Sam's subcontractors. All punch list items were addressed to ensure we were happy with the finished product. We know this project increased our home's value!

Sam and his team helped create, build and design a brand new home for us this year, 2014. He was helpful, knowledgeable, creative and inspiring general contractor whom was also extremely easy to work with through the project. We had a lengthy 21 month process and Sam was with us from start to finish - beginning with the assessment of the land we purchased, recommending architects - providing options and guidance each step of the way. Sam brings together a first-class team of experts who can bring your vision to life. He had great communication and working with both my husband and myself; listening to our ideas and needs throughout the entire project. I have high expectations and our home turned out even better than we imagined. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end and would highly recommend Sam for anyone building a custom home. The Alhadeff Group did a complete window replacement on our 1911 craftsman. The count was 26 windows, all Milgard brand, installed on three levels. Sizes ranged from small basement sliders to two large kitchen bays. Planning was professional with work done as scheduled. Their install team was quick, obviously capable, clean, polite and very friendly during the three days of work. These new windows look terrific and are a huge improvement for our home. We enjoyed working with such nice people and highly recommend the company.

I contacted Sam for a quote to remodel our kitchen. His bid was reasonable but what really pushed me to use Sam was his professionalism. It was evident from the beginning that he was on top of every detail which made my wife and I feel good about what we were about to get into. We planned the remodel to start while we were out of town and "fingers crossed" be close to completion buy the time we returned 3 weeks later. I thought it was a bit much to ask since we were essentially gutting our old kitchen and having the whole thing replaced. Well, I am happy to say Sam did not disappoint! The job was near completion when we arrived home and it looked amazing! On top of that there were no surprises with the bill which was huge for us. The Alhadeff Group did the following for us: extensive drywall work, cabinets, granite counter tops, new plumbing, heated floors, all new lighting, a new window, two new doors and beautiful trim to wrap it all! We absolutely love the kitchen Sam created for us and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs anything home related. Thank you Sam!

I hired the Alhadeff Group to finish and stain my hardwood floors, retile the kitchen and basement as well as put carpet in the bedrooms. I had a custom color that i wanted the floor to match (kinda a greenish gray) that matched the slate in our entryway. We knew it wasn't a simple ask as it required that they mix the entire batch at once to ensure that the color was consistent seeing as there was no ready made solution for this color. The result was spot on, completely consistent from from to room and beautiful with the attention to detail. When the carpets came up, there were all sorts of surprises we didn't see coming, and these guys rolled with everyone including replacing our entire stairway. and matching that stain as well. All this, and right on budget, no surprises on the bill. When does that happen? Sevrin Daniels

Project was great from start to finish. Sam and his team converted an ugly exposed, under-deck area, into a beautiful outdoor living space. Tight knot cedar ceiling with recessed can lighting, outdoor heating, and flush wireless speakers. Gave us a new wonderful indoor outdoor lifestyle space we really enjoy. Sam and his team were professional, on budget, and on time. We will hire him again.

Sam and his team did an excellent job in transforming our kitchen and living spaces into a hip and contemporary space. We couldn't be happier with the end product! Sam communicated very well and kept us posted on every step of the project. He did exactly what we planned and managed to finish on time even with a few unexpected surprises. Exceptional! We found the Alhadeff Group to be so easy to work with. Sam, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the remodeling process...even with color suggestion! The job was completed on time and we were completely thrilled with the finished product. We are just about to start a kitchen remodel with this company. Sam and his team restored our kitchen and powder room with all new cabinets, tile, paint, wallpaper, appliances, countertop, sink, marble on island and vanity, refinished hardwood floors throughout the house, and replaced wall to wall carpet in 4 rooms, a hallway and open stairs. He also had roofers replace torch-down roofing on 40% of house, replaced cabinets, countertops and flooring in laundry and upstairs guest bath. Sam's team is professional, clean, careful, and communicates well throughout the project. Bidding process was clear, straightforward and work was done according to the estimate. The only surprises involved a roof leak uncovered when a cabinet was removed, and difficulty with suppliers providing materials on schedule. Sam was an excellent advocate with suppliers to expedite fixtures that were slow to arrive. The work was high quality throughout, and we are well pleased with the result. We highly recommend The Alhadeff Group.

We hired The Alhadeff Group to build a two floor addition onto our townhouse as well as insall a kitchen island, new lighting, and total overhall of our fireplace/flat screen. The work was done with top quality materials,they worked through the 4th of July, bid came in slightly over budget (our fault for adding more ). Durring the remodel we discovered $30,000 in water damage from our deck. There were delays because of insurance. The Alhadeff Group repaird the damage which included supporting 2 floors of our touwnhouse! The custom fireplace with hidden door to our audio room is a work of art! Thank you Koi! We couldn't be happier!

We hired this company to completely remodel our condo. The experience was wonderful because we recieved high quality workmanship and were treated so well by the contractor and every member of his crew. Everyone we dealt with was always pleasant and efficiant. The work was done exactly to our specifications and in a timely manner.

We hired The Alhadeff Group to do an update of our home, which included interior lighting throughout, refinishing the kitchen/family room floors, new custom cabinets in the kitchen & master bath, installing slab granite in the kitchen, slab granite in the powder room and slab marble in the master bath, as well as replacing bathroom floors with new tile. They also completely redid the stall shower in the master bath, removing the old tile, replacing the pan, and installing new tile & adding 2 corner type shelves in the shower using pieces of marble cut from the slab for the vanity. The shower was completed with walls of unframed glass. It's beautiful and works perfectly, with no water coming through where the unframed door closes, which had been a concern for us. They also did a considerable amount of drywall patching & replacement on some walls & ceilings. Some of this had been repaired previously, but we could always see where the patches had been made. This time, the repairs are perfect! They really know what they are doing, and the results are fabulous. They installed crown molding & new baseboard molding throughout, replaced existing interior doors with 2 panel painted doors & added trim around all doorways, and painted. . I am very detail oriented & instead of getting irritated with me when I pointed out some tiny little flaw that probably no one else would have noticed, they made the corrections with a smile. One thing that was really important to us was that these guys were all really nice & had a great work ethic. If they said they were coming at a given time, they arrived within minutes of that time or they called to let me know they were running late. We felt very safe & comfortable having them around. Sam, the company owner, had assured me that all the men were known to him, were honest & trustworthy & that we would not need to worry about issues of that nature. They were everything he said they would be, and more. They had great senses of humor, & even put up with the cat, who is not fond of strangers. This project lasted several months, & by the time they completed it, the cat was completely at home with them. This was a large project. Sam wanted us to move out for it, but we really could not do that for a variety of reasons. That was the only real problem with the remodel. Because it was so extensive and going on in so many different rooms, we were in constant chaos. We ended up not doing several bedrooms & another bathroom because it became too overwhelming. Now, two months since the completion of the work they performed, we are ready to have the remainder of the house completed. There is no question that we will use The Alhadeff Group to complete the job. Everything they did shows attention to detail & outstanding work quality. We would not even consider using another company
