We've been working to remodel our 1968 home for almost 15 years, since we purchased it. In the past, we've unfortunately made some bad decisions regarding contractors, which means we've been derailed by both those decisions and by personal circumstances. But now, we're done! We now LOVE our home, and we gratefully thank Gaspar's for helping us complete this journey. We worked with and interviewed a lot of firms over the last 15 years, and our initial foray into our remodel had seriously degraded our trust in contractor promises. Gaspar's Construction cured that. I wish we had chosen them at the beginning of our journey!!! Everyone at Gaspar's exhibits the highest professionalism and dedication to quality. When anything unexpected cropped up (which happens with every remodel), they were upfront and honest and PROMPT. I have the highest respect for their honesty and integrity. They are not the least expensive option out there for a large remodel, but they are the best and worth every penny. If we had chosen them early on, before trying out other contractors, we would have saved a ton of money overall and been much less stressed. I have rarely worked with companies that I can recommend wholeheartedly, without any reservations. Gaspar's is one of those rare companies. They were professional and kind, the quality of their work was exceptional, and they saved us money where they could. They had our best interests at heart, and their work was stellar. We now live in a home we love, after years of living with less. If you're looking for a design-build company to help with a remodel in the Seattle area, you won't find any better than Gaspar's.

Carlos arrived on time and was professional, cordial and courteous. After preliminary testing he was able to determine that there was no actual leak in the garage wall. (Which was a relief.) As a precautionary measure, he applied a silicone product to some exposed wood areas as protection against any future wind-driven rain intrusion. Forethought that is much appreciated. I appreciated his knowledge, skill and initiative. An excellent representative of Gaspar. Thank you.

Gaspar's communicated well with us every step of the way and did what they said they would do. Chris did a great job and kept us informed of his daily progress and kept the work site clean and safe. It was such a relief to get this project done (floor and ceiling replacement in bathroom). The finished product looks so good!

Because there was significant rot around my leaky window, my project ended up taking more than one day. Gaspar's was able to rearrange schedules to get someone out two days later to complete the work. It was all done efficiently with ongoing communication.

We've used Gaspar's handyman service for several years and have always been impressed with the professionalism of the team and quality of the work. So, when we decided to renovate our small wine room, we called Gaspar's. From start to finish, the experience was positive - from design meetings with Jen, to pre-con meetings with Erica, to the day-to-day work of Severin - we were impressed with their professionalism and expertise. They treated our modest project with respect and patiently led us through our first-ever construction project. We are delighted with our new wine room and look forward to working with Gaspar's again.

We could not be more thrilled with Gaspar's Construction. They were the epitome of professional, on time, and on budget. I hear nothing but horror stories from friends who are remodeling their kitchens. That is the exact opposite of our experience. The entire team took their time to get to know us and help us figure out our priorities. They listened and created a design that fit our life and our savings account. Once the project began, we were given daily updates by our on-site lead and we had weekly meetings to discuss status, changes, and challenges. All of the members of the team were quick to respond to any and all of our questions (of which there were many) and concerns (of which there were few). Thank you to Isaac, Jen, Jonathan, Margaret, and everyone else at Gaspar's for giving us the kitchen of our dreams and their ongoing support and service.

Collaborative, Good Communication, Excellent Service And Quality! Gaspar's Design & Construction is an excellent company to work with! This was our first time using them. I was referred to them by our neighbor who is a realtor. We are so pleased we went with them! We had them remodel a bathroom and our basement and everything turned out beautifully! Their pricing is very reasonable and the staff was easy to work with in planning the details. We really enjoyed the workers who came out. They were veyr engaging, easy to talk to and they were proud to be working for Gaspar's and it showed. They paid good attention to detail, they were respectful of our home, they explained the scope of the project and took the time to answer any of our questions. They were always prompt and called prior to arrival and let us know even if they were leaving for a break. It is always a little bit unnerving when you are getting someone to remodel your home, you want the best for your home and it is often difficult to hand over the reigns to someone else, but in the case of Gaspar's we made a great decision and are so very pleased with the work they did. Dealing with Gaspar's Design & Construction was an enjoyable process from start to finish! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

I hired Gaspars to help wrap up my kitchen renovation (I did the demo myself). They removed a load bearing wall and replaced it with a rustic wood beam (per my request). They also insulated, drywalled, and installed my reclaimed cabinetry. I had a great experience--their team was friendly and fun and the construction process moved quickly like a well-oiled machine. I will definitely be using them again.

The team @ Gaspar's is amazing! Everyone on their staff is respectful, a great listener, excellent taste & so flexible. Sarah Henry is exceptional. First, I love the fact she's a woman running what is typically male dominated. We've had to move our start date several times because of permit issues. She is above & beyond understanding. Second, I love they are a design build construction firm. We are able to select tiles, bath, fixture, lighting right there on site. Their designer Tess has a great eye. My husband & I would have been running around town trying to piece things together. While we are paying a design fee, it's so well worth it. Third, Sarah is honest. She will be straight forward on cost, quality & will give us recommendations of other vendors to work with that she may not necessarily work with. Lastly, I love supporting a local, family own/run business. You can definitely tell the difference. When we spoke w/ other GC's, there wasn't the same pride, commitment or caring as Gaspars.

I have perhaps a unique view of Gaspar's Construction, as one of their subcontractors. It was a pleasure working with Sarah, Isaac, Kathy and their lead carpenter Heather for 2 projects in the last year. They communicated well and timely, were very clear as to expectations and work responsibility and yet were very receptive to our ideas and suggestions. We felt like a valuable member of their team and were respected as such. I also had the fortune of seeing Gaspar's team interact and work exceptionally well with their clients. They were kind, considerate, tidy and efficient. They took the custom cabinets we made and expertly installed them to our very high standards. The comprehensive house remodels we were involved in with them turned out fantastic and the clients could not have been happier. It was a great partnership and one we look forward to continue developing with future collaborative projects.

The folks at Gaspar’s were excellent partners in remodeling the kitchen in our 1918 craftsman. Our goal was to create a kitchen that fit the era of our home while also providing modern elements and conveniences. Gaspar’s helped us achieve our goal and much more. Their design team was able to provide creative solutions while always keeping our needs and preferences in mind. The Gaspar’s build team were highly skilled carpenters - true craftswomen and craftsmen. Their skill and attention to detail are remarkable. All through the process the project team maintained excellent communication through ad hoc and weekly project meetings. Ultimately our project was on time and on budget. We would highly recommend Gaspar’s and look forward to working with them again on future projects.

We had Gaspar's design and build a new kitchen for our turn of the century Ballard home. In the past we have used different companies, individuals and ourselves to do work on our house with mixed results. We met with Gaspar's and were impressed with what they had to say and went for it. From the initial meeting to the completion meeting they were involved and responsible for every part of the project.....They came to the house, measured everything, put it in a computer design program, worked out various layouts based on their experience, our preferences and target budget. We met various times at our house and at their office. Then they produced the construction schedule and built it on time and on budget.....here are some highlights.... *years of experience in remodeling and it shows *we worked with the same 3 people throughout the project, 1 project manager, 1 designer and 1 construction lead....we were constantly meeting and in contact through phone/voicemail/text....they were involved since day 1 and knew as much as I did about the project *easy design....nice office filled with samples of countertop, cabinet, tile, etc. There are so many decisions to make but they had all the information I needed for every little choice/decision. Also on staff structural engineer and interior designer *communication....prompt returns of all calls and emails, any problem or question I had was answered quickly *respect of budget....we had lists of all the possibilities and they helped us get what we wanted with the money we were willing to spend, no tricks or up charges on anything. There are not the cheapest option in town but it is absolutely worth it. Quality and accountability costs money in this business and we got exactly what we paid for. *construction....very high quality work, everything was permitted properly and done well. I inspected everything on a nightly basis and was very happy. It is easy for contractors to cut corners to save money but there were no such issues *respect of family...we lived there during the remodel with our 2 little kids. Our construction lead was practically part of the family by the time it was all done. Aware of nap time for noise and went out of his way to keep things as clean as possible *schedule....we were worried about timing since a kitchen is an important thing to have up and running for a family but they produced their schedule and got it done exactly on time, around 9 weeks total *subs....there were probably 7 sub contractors involved, such as countertop, electrical, plumbing etc....they have responsible/reliable subs they have experience with and coordinated all of that, which is quite the task since some of them had to come back multiple times to complete different aspects of their work Overall it was a great experience. We have kids and are super busy and Gaspar's was a perfect fit. They were there through the whole process so I didn't have to explain things over and over to different workers/subs. Remodeling is stressful enough without having to deal with flakey or dishonest people. They presented us with the options and we made decisions and they took care of everything else! You get a better product in the end I am convinced since they are responsible for the whole thing. High quality work and professional employees at all levels. We have our dream kitchen and feel that we made all the right choices!

We needed full project coordination on an apartment renovation that gutted the kitchen, the bathroom, flooring et al. Gaspar's provided design assistance, demolition, did a lot of the installation and finish work in addition to sourcing and managing all the subcontractors involved in our remodel. Their organization and professional process allowed the job to run smoothly with no delay while maintaining excellent communication even though we lived out of the area. They kept right to the promised schedule while being flexible and accommodating when additional tasks were required. All members of the company were conscientious and friendly. I enjoyed collaborating with Gaspar's very much and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a full-service contractor with no surprises.

We used Gaspar's to design and remodel our kitchen and dining area. The remodel involved gutting our kitchen, taking down a wall, reorienting our pantry, installing french doors, creating a breakfast nook, installing high-quality cabinets and quartz countertops, moving chandelliers, and constructing a deck. From the beginning, Gaspar's thoroughness and expertise put us at ease. Their estimate was comprehensive and they respected our budget. Our site lead was wonderful. He was professional, kept us well informed, and left everything very clean at night. We have been so happy with the finished product. Gaspar's definitely gave us our dream kitchen!

We hired Gaspar's to give the run-down, 104 year old Seattle house we purchased a "makeover," including refinishing the original fir floors, partial kitchen and basement upgrades, and detailed painting of miles of original wood trim! Gaspar's was upfront, professional, and responsive in every aspect, providing a dedicated and experienced project manager who kept us informed and involved at every step. The project was smooth, streamlined, and we loved the results so much we hired Gaspar'sagain the following year to remodel our main bathroom. They carefully preserved and restored the original clawfoot tub, and suggested upgrades that were modern but preserved the original character of our home, including a new pedestal sink with modern lines. I would not hesitate to recommend Gaspar's, especially for that "complete experience" from start to finish.
