We initially hired Sharon to help select finishes for our custom home. As working professionals, we found the number of decisions needed in the new build overwhelming and time-consuming. She is extremely personable, and communication is always easy. Sharon easily merged our different esthetics into a beautiful, cohesive project. We are beyond thrilled with the result! We have worked with Sharon on multiple projects. Most recently was a full house renovation and interior design refresh. Sharon quickly understood our design goals and worked with us to achieve them. We have been working with Sharon on and off for a few months as we prepare to move a retirement community this winter. We sold our home with everything in it and are essentially starting from scratch. Sharon has been great to work with because she is comfortable augmenting the design elements we had already decided on. I have small rooms and a few old but dear-to-me pieces which Have been transformed into a cozy oasis. We started working w/Sharon in Nov 2020 in our summer home we purchased on the southern coast of Maine. Sharon has been really wonderful to work with. We found Sharon on line a few months ago when we realized we needed help selecting tile and coordinating color for our new home. Although we were reluctant to hire someone we didn't know without a 'personal' recommendation, after talking to her a bit we decided to move forward and have been extremely happy. I have never written a review about anyone before but feel that this is extremely necessary because of how amazing Sharon truly is. I had my entire house renovated and with that felt I needed guidance every step of the way in decorating and making it exactly the way I wanted. Sharon has a way of just knowing what I like and don't like and is able to incorporate this in the design as well as helping me step out of my boring and conservative box but still keeping it true to me. She communicates well with contractors and speaks their language when it comes to placement of lighting, outlets, etc I saw her expertly handle problems and difficult situations with renovations and fix them with ease. She knows how to take the stress away which I needed on occasions. She is super fun to go shopping with as she makes a tough job of choosing so easy. We hired Sharon Bottner of Panache Designs to help us choose wall colors for our new home and she has provided so much more expertise than we expected. I first met Sharon while working on a magazine story on a beautiful oceanfront home in Maine. I was impressed by the remarkable detail evident in every aspect of the home’s design, as well as how Sharon had married the owner’s desire for the look of a New York City loft with the home’s location on a small, private cove in New England. While I have met many designers in the course of writing for Coastal Home, when my husband and I needed help renovating a large mudroom and two baths, Sharon was the person I wanted to use. Immediately after meeting her, my husband agreed she was a great fit for us. While we have lived in our house for seven years and have had many discussions about renovation ideas, Sharon had been in our house for five minutes before bringing a fresh insight to our home: from painting our wood paneled ceilings to bring light into the kitchen, to switching out inset ceiling lights for a small hanging chandelier, to using a pocket door to bring more space into a bathroom. She is also excellent at negotiating the suggestions of two people who sometimes have different visions, without anyone feeling overlooked. Sharon is friendly and down-to-earth, she is easy to work with and willing to do as much or as little as we ask of her. She frequently meets us at stores to look at different design options, and has a wonderful familiarity with the product selection available in the area as well as contractors. Sharon Bottner from Panache Designs most definitely deserves the Best of Houzz 2014 award. We worked together for most of 2014. Sharon gave me an education about picking out fabric and fixtures within budget to derive the maximum amount of enjoyment. Sharon took input from both my husband and I and delivered results that we both loved. She was flexible with our design plans and was able to accomplish a lot even with changes to our spending allowance. Sharon would almost always give me different options to control cost without compromising on quality. Whenever possible, Sharon used local companies, which is important to our family. I have had the opportunity to work with Panache Design in 2014. We began this summer with upgrading my curb appeal, and Sharon did an exceptional job in choosing some beautiful complimentary colors for the trim and new shutters to the existing paint color. I worked with Panache Interior Design, Sharon Bottner over the course of 2012 & 2013 designing & installing all interior components throughout our home. Sharon assisted with paint colors, furniture, fabrics, rugs and a few customer designed pieces. Sharon took time to understand our lifestyles and how we wanted our home to look and feel. She has a good design sense and was very willing to work within a budget and make adjustments when necessary. She works with high quality suppliers and crafts people.

Sharon is very knowledgable, easy to work with, keeps me focused on the immediate step towards completing the project but does listen to my likes and dislikes. She brings positive attitude and energy and appears to genuinely enjoy her work. Still in the middle of the project but has kept to schedule, budget and time. Added a side project in midst of main project and she was very accommodating, coming to my home for paint color input on short notice with beautiful results!! Sharon helped us refresh our home several years ago and has continued to consult on small projects. We redid the family room, have changed colors multiple times and did our master bedroom. Sharon listens to your needs and gets a sense of your style, occasionally nudging in directions you might not have thought of and ultimately delivers a design that wows. She has an excellent sense of style and is fun to work with.

We are currently mid-project, however Sharon has been wonderful to work with so far. She has been great working with our budget and the level of assistance we were seeking. Panache Design helped us with the design and colors for two bathrooms. We have a very old house (approximately 300 years) and so it was important for us to marry the character of the house with the modern benefits of space and functionality. Sharon did a great job hearing our needs and helping us come up with a great solution. We love our bathrooms! Panache Design was also able to connect us with a fantastic carpenter to do the installation. They worked very well together.

Sharon is helping to update our kitchen. When one does not have the skills or the objectivity to see the possibilities of their space, Sharon's ability to so quickly assess and make suggestions that respect the client's preferences and style is remarkable...and calming! I feel that this is going to be fun to do now, not the dreaded chore it was feeling.

Sharon can do in 1 hour what would take me months and months! She picked paint colors, suggested ceiling finishes I never even knew about, and helped design cabinets and shelving units. She respectfully works with what you already have, understands your personal style, and is very personable. She helped me find a "handyman" who does all the work and works beautifully with Sharon. Sharon is a fast decision-maker (which I am not) and every decision is perfect! She is positive, enthusiastic, and respectful of budgets. I don't make any decorating decisions now without Sharon's input- saves a lot of time and second guessing.

I have worked with Sharon for many years now. We are currently working together on re-doing our house which was in dire need of a complete overhaul when we bought it! Having a love of interior design myself, but sometimes struggling to bring it all together, Sharon is a star! She has a wonderful sense of color and design. Sharon Bottner is intensely gifted and we were lucky to find her. We have a modest (1800 Sq ft) part-contemporary/part traditional home; in essence, a nightmare to choose wall colors, furniture layout and accessories for. We tried for decades; wasting time and money. Sharon saved us. With Sharon's help over the last 6 years, we have redone many rooms in our home (exterior, too)... slowly, steadily. We learned to not make one single decision - even minor ones - without Sharon's advice and approval. (And I have heard that is the general consensus when I've spoken with other clients of hers.) She knows exactly what colors, furniture and accessories can do for the functionality and ambiance of a room - no matter what its limitations. Because of Sharon, we call our home "The Little Engine That Could" because we started with less than ideal, odd-shaped rooms + limited budgets.... thus, seemingly doomed to fail. But Sharon turned our "nothing special" house into a warm - highly functional - and inviting home that we absolutely adore. Every person who walks through our front door is stunned; and when we are away for work or vacations, it rents effortlessly. Though not the initial intent, we have also increased the equity in our home immensely. We highly recommend Sharon, without hesitation.

Interior designing is my worst nightmare. Sharon makes it fun and I enjoy her company. She is incredibly enthusiastic, patient, efficient and organized. She has a wonderful sense of color and design and is very innovative. I worked on two separate projects with Sharon. First, she transformed our newly-constructed, seaside condo into a wonderful family retreat. She planned the furnishings and window treatments in every room. It is now a warm and inviting space, with wonderful art work everywhere. We were so pleased with her work on our beach house that we hired her to plan and execute a comprehensive renovation of our primary residence, an antique farmhouse, complete with a new kitchen design and a great room, converted from old barn space. Sharon helped me re-do my entire living area - sunporch, living room, and study. Throughout the process she was full of great ideas and - most importantly - kept me on track when I started heading away from my "vision". She kept reminding me "that's not what you said you wanted." And I'm so glad, because I ended up with just the look I envisioned - great comfortable durable pieces, awesome colors, and a fresh funky vibe. Also, she helped me tie it all together by color and theme, something I really couldn't have done on my own. Sharon helped me redecorate both my (formerly shabby) office AND my (now awesome) living room at home. She was a lot of fun to work with; her enthusiasm was contagious and inspiring. She has a great eye for color, and the experience to know which shades and how much to use. My living room now has an accent wall painted in the most inspiring shade of orange that makes me feel warm even on the most wintry day. Also, she thought about details I would never have considered - eg choosing a beautiful yet durable sofa fabric , and having a custom sized rug - and that ultimately made a big difference in both projects. I couldn't be happier with the outcomes both at work and at home - and (surprisingly) I really enjoyed the process too.

I interviewed several interior designers before choosing Sharon to help me with the family room. One of the things I most appreciate about Sharon is her ability to listen (to both my husband and myself - we have different tastes) and then integrate our styles/likes/preferences. Her color choices were spot on, and her knowledge of local vendors and what is available through them is encyclopedic! Sharon has also helped us choose new floors/rugs for our dining room and living room, as well as window treatments and reupholstering chairs for these rooms. I will hire Sharon again when I need some design assistance.

Sharon immediately had a vision for transforming our home with color, warmth and charm. She really understood our tastes and needs, and the results are unique and effortless. Sharon challenged me to experiment with richer colors and her instincts are keen and undeniable. Her attention to detail, selection of materials and contractors all inspired trust and confidence. She always kept our budget and time table in mind, which allowed us to upgrade every room in our house while focusing on the major renovation in the kitchen, and construction of our new master bedroom and bath.
