We built our first custom home with Siena Builders and we were very happy with the end result. Siena Custom Builders is a premier home builder. Darin helped us design our home and then constructed it on time with exceptional quality. His attention to detail is unparalleled in the industry. My wife and I did a significant amount of diligence and Siena was our choice because quality and performance were key. Our house was completed in the summer of 2015 within the agreed timeframe and within the budget excluding my own change orders, of course. We have now lived here for three years and enjoy it immensely. Darin is detailed, organized, experienced, creative, and a man of his word. His value proposition is exceptional.

After selling my business my wife and I decided to have our dream house built by Siena Custom Builders in Naperville, IL. We had an idea of what we wanted it to look like, but were unable to actually describe it. Darin and Sherry were able to take our abstract thoughts and create a drawing of what the house could look like. It was exactly what we wanted. As they built our house they would offer suggestions of what could be done to improve the look and feel of the house. Their attention to detail and their concern about how everything would come together was quite extraordinary. Building our house with Siena was a thoroughly positive experience. We love our house and have total peace of mind knowing we have a solid high quality home backed by an honest builder who cares as much about our house as his own.

We just love our new Siena Custom Home! Darin and his assistant Sherri were wonderful to work with and helped us to stay on our budget as well as finish the project ahead of schedule! We have received many compliments on our new house. The new design blends well with the other homes in the neighborhood. We were able to take a 60's style ranch house and build on the existing foundation and go up! We now have a darling two story cape cod style home with an indoor sport court above our garage. This space comes in handy on those cold winter days....all the kids in the neighborhood love to come over the hang out.

We chose SCB to build our home almost 9 years ago and it was one of the best decisions we've ever made. The whole team at SCB are professionals who really know the art of building a dream home. They worked with us every step of the way and never tired of our endless questions and idea pictures. We had built a home before and had been nickel and dimed to death over the add on's and upgrades. When you go to build a home, you need to compare all the fine details, not just the bottom line of price. Our trim is amazing throughout our home and much of it was included and not an upgrade. It's also the quality of the materials being used that you don't see. Being one of the "older" Siena homes, we are always astounded at how well the house is built. Quality work from top to bottom. Last winter (2012), we finished our third floor that we had roughed in when building. Of course, we went back to SBC and couldn't be more pleased with the results. It was different living in the home while work was done but all of the workers were respectful and professional around our family and home. One final thing that we would like to mention is the timing of our projects. Not only did Darin stay on top of things, we felt like he was living at our home while it was being built. He is not a builder that you will never see at your site. His knowledge of all aspects of building is what makes SBC so amazing. He keeps everything moving and spots problems and fixes them while the project is ongoing. Our home was not only finished on time but was a couple weeks earlier than we needed it. We cannot recommend SCB highly enough! Definite 5 stars and that is hard to say about a builder.

Working with Darin and Sherry of Siena Custom Builders was a terrific experience and true pleasure doing business with them. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. In 2011, Siena completed a whole house renovation on my 1964 standard 2-story home based on an independent architect’s design. This included a new 2 story addition, new front foyer, build-out of a new master suite over the garage, added 2 fireplaces, repurposed all the rooms on the main level, moved laundry room to 2nd floor, new mechanicals, added many trim upgrades and high end finishes throughout the home and a total exterior overhaul. Siena turned a very plain house into a very warm, inviting home. I selected Siena because of strong reputation in quality craftsmanship, their signature style of casual elegance and competitive pricing, but more importantly, I had felt a strong rapport when talking with Darin and Sherry about my project. Their expertise and knowledge of every aspect in home construction is unquestionable. Communication throughout the entire process was excellent; I always knew what was going on every day or if I had a question, Siena was very quick to respond. They provided thoughtful input on finishes and quickly resolved unexpected issues (what renovation doesn't have them) while completing the project on time-in a short 6 months. Siena’s subs are meticulous and take pride in their work. Siena was very respectful of my wishes and was committed to making sure I had total satisfaction (after installing stonework on the exterior, I expressed to Darin that one side appeared to me to have too many smaller sized stones, but could live with it as is and the next day I was pleasantly surprised it was modified). Each night the broader construction site was always clean. I added a lot of custom trim work throughout the interior of the home and cannot say enough good things about Siena’s trim carpenter and his creativity. Not only was Darin and Sherry available at anytime during the construction phase, they continue to be available long after the project has been completed. As a result, I have a beautiful, high quality home that makes me smile very time I come home. I would strongly recommend Siena for new construction or a home renovation.

I built my home with Siena Custom Builders in 2009. I cannot say enough about the quality and craftsmanship of my home. Siena wrote the book on a streamlined carefree building process which puts the customer first. It is very evident that Siena treats their trades well as they are always on time and courteous to the home owner. The materials he uses are second to none. All of Siena's subcontractors are highly skilled craftsmen.
