“We used Chi Renovation & Design for our basement remodel (after a pretty bad flood), and am thrilled with how things came out. After we worked through the design aspects, it was time to get started on the build. When it comes down to it, the most important piece from my experience is working with a general contractor that cares, takes ownership of the project, and is fast to rectify issues that inevitably arise when renovating. I can safely say that Ron, who was the GC that managed our project embodied all of those qualities. I never had to prove to Ron why we may have needed something changed, fixed, or reworked; not only was he often already aware of it, he always took responsibility and got it done. He was always fair. Beyond that ownership, the subcontractors that work with Chi Reno & Design were excellent, especially the drywall and painter folks. Honestly, by far the best paint work that has been done on our house. To that end, the value of the work done was well worth the (reasonable) price. I am thrilled with how it came out, and my kids love playing down there everyday!”

“I highly recommend Bradford & Kent for any renovation projects you are considering. They did an amazing job from start to finish on my interior renovation. As the project progressed, I ended up adding some additional items and they had no problem taking on the extra work. My project manager had an incredible ability to address any concerns that arose and reassure me when something didn’t go exactly as planned. He was extremely organized, efficient, and knowledgeable. I am so grateful to have had his guidance and leadership throughout this inherently stressful process. As a company, Bradford and Kent always stood by their work, and made corrections to all mistakes (which weren’t many, but of course things happen in any renovation) immediately upon discovery. I was very appreciative, as I have heard horror stories of other contractors not maintaining such high standards. My home is now the beautiful place I envisioned and I am so grateful to Bradford and Kent. Some of the work that B&K completed at my home: - Complete kitchen remodel - move laundry room to upstairs (create large space out of a bedroom walk-in closet and part of the bedroom with entry from hallway) - Turn previous 1st floor laundry room into a beautiful and functional mudroom that leads to back deck - remodel foyer from garage entry - refinish and extend hardwood floors throughout the entire main floor - remodel staircase - replace basement ceiling tiles …And many smaller items * I remodeled the exterior of my home the season prior and I can honestly say that I wish I would have used Bradford and Kent for that as well. Unfortunately, I went with a roofing/siding company that specializes in exterior only. I saw a house down the street in my neighborhood have almost identical exterior work done on their home by Bradford and Kent - theirs looks better. My Hardie siding has visible gaps and theirs does not. I wish I would have gone with B&K so I thought it was worth mentioning for anyone looking to do exterior work as well.”

“We are very pleased with our new kitchen. This was our first major renovation, so we were of course concerned about cost and time--and not knowing really what questions to ask. DesignFirst was a great partner throughout the project. Their designers came up with a thoughtful design, but were also happy to tweak things that we wanted to change. The customer portal was very convenient and allowed us to review all the choices we had made, payment milestones and records, and progress photos. They have a good selection of styles and materials, but were happy to let us source some of the items and install them. We had specific tiles and drawer pulls in mind. The project manager was always very responsive to any questions as the project went on. We were a bit unlucky in our timing as the Covid lockdown hit our project right after we gutted the kitchen, somewhat surprisingly our timeline was not really impacted, though it was obvious that the company and contractors were having to jump through extra hoops to get things done on time. One thing that was key to our project was the relationship that the company and its lead contractors have with the city inspectors. Their contractors were obviously known for working to code and making any changes the inspectors asked for correctly. Our inspections went smoothly, and this is one of those areas where "you get what you pay for." I think we paid a fair price and got great work in return.”
