Tara brings an incredible eye to every project and makes the process feel calm and well-managed from start to finish. She consistently brings a strong viewpoint—she knows what she likes and isn’t afraid to introduce fresh ideas that set her work apart from the crowd. We’ve worked with Tara multiple times now, most recently on a full kitchen redesign and updates throughout nearly every room of our home. She has an exceptional sense of design and a rare ability to pull everything together in a way that feels both beautiful and functional. The entire process is smooth, thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable — and the results are always better than we imagined.

I’ve worked with several interior designers over the years, but nothing truly clicked until I came across Tara Fust on Instagram. Her talent for moving effortlessly between completely different styles is incredible. I first brought Tara in to help us finish our lake house, and her presentation absolutely stunned me. She gave my husband and me two options for each room and bathroom, plus one “wild card”—and I honestly loved them all. She completely understood the direction we wanted, made the space feel distinct from our main home, and curated furnishings and finishes from a range of sources that tied everything together beautifully. More recently, I was struggling to finish the design of my Upper East Side bridal flagship store in New York City. The firm I had been working with had missed the mark on a few important elements, and I reached out to Tara in a moment of panic. She immediately got to work and instinctively knew what the space needed to complete its Parisian apartment feel.

I worked with Tara when building our new home. fee years back and she was absolutely wonderful. She offered fresh ideas while keeping with our personal style. Tara gets to know her clients and designs around them - suggesting but not pushing - my husband and I both really enjoyed working with her. So much so that when we recently bought a place at the beach - Tara was the only designer to call and this we did all remotely - through pictures, emails and phone calls. She is truly a talented woman!

Tara allowed me to love my space in a way I never dreamed possible. Love that she provided options at multiple price points and didn’t stop until I was happy. Would recommend again and again. Already looking forward to asking her to help us with our bedrooms next!

Tara Fust Design was outstanding to work with - from inception to completion. I had worked with and interviewed other designers, but Tara was (and is) leaps and bounds ahead of all others. She came out of the gate strong - with immediate suggestions that demonstrated her talents, and (most importantly) carried that sense of urgency and delivery all the way through my project. 1. Extremely talented. She quickly picked up on and helped me to refine my own style. Her vision and design really "got me" and turned my home into a place I love to return to each day. 2. Excellent customer service. Extremely responsive. Excellent communication skills. Her use of technology made it very easy for us to coordinate, communicate and finalize design ideas and installation. I never felt like I was "just a number" to TFD. 3. High attention to detail. Tara not only has a great eye for design, she understands and appreciates the need to "get it right" - whether it is paint color, wallpaper installation or furniture placement. No detail was too small. Every room was finished to a "T". I always loved where I live, now I love how I live, in my house. I've recommended Tara to others and no reservation about her skills, abilities and talents. I trust her. I'd hire her again in a minute.

Tara has worked with us from the start of our custom built home and is now working on the interior design. It has been an absolute pleasure working with her!! Working with Tara is always a great experience. She selects the tiles to be used for each project, lets us know the patterns and grout colors, and we install them the way she has specified. She is very good at what she does.
