Making the decision to stay in our home was the tough part. Through good friends we were introduced to Laura and Ashley of the Design Co. When we went to their website, we were immediately impressed with their work. At our first meeting we found Laura and Ashley very professional and overflowing with fabulous ideas. They inspired us to believe that we could transform our 20 year old VERY traditional home into a home feeling like a contemporary New York brownstone, something that we really wanted. As with every married couple, we had our differences in taste, however, Laura and Ashley were always able to offer us beautiful compromises. It was amazing to watch their drawings come to life as the 6 month project progressed. They always made themselves available and answered our questions without any "decorator attitude". The bonus was that they worked so well with our contractor which resulted in the project staying on time. It has now been 3 months since we have moved back in to our totally transformed "New York brownstone" and each day we pinch ourselves how Laura and Ashley totally exceeded our expectations and made our dream home a reality!!!! We never could have imagined that the finished look would be so amazing!! Eventually we know that a downsize will take place and without a doubt we will calling the Design Co. to help. with our next stage of life.

Laura and Ashley did an amazing job helping us with our main floor update. The entire process was easy and stress free. They had great ideas and the final result is spectacular. We love our new space and are so glad we decided to work with them.

The Design Co women were professional to the point, organized and (perhaps paradoxically) listened to every suggestion that I made. We discussed all the ideas and arrived at a consensus each time. I learned to trust their judgement with regard to both design and contracting. They have a crisp, modern style which I have noticed is still developing well after my little project. I did not go with the oven they recommended and now wish that I had. Very happy with the outcome of my new kitchen. Our house is a California Tudor Craftsman style home built in 1938, and believe it or not, the new kitchen goes really well with that. Who would have guessed? But they knew it all along. Recommended of course, by my client, the owner who is a father of one of the designers and it was a good choice for once. Project materials cost was $CAN 68,000., labour about $CAN 23,000.

Laura and Ashley did an amazing job furnishing and styling our living room/dining room. They stuck to our budget and our timeline. They were also able to work with our current style and some furniture that we had already purchased. The room is the perfect mix of rustic and modern with a "coolness" factor. We love it and can't wait for them to take on more projects for us in the near future! Thanks so much.

Ashley and Laura did an excellent job modernizing our 20year old home. Their suggestions were not only creative but practical and affordable. They stayed within my budget and they were not afraid to tell me when my ideas were not going to contribute to the overall look and feel that we were trying to create. We hired The Design Co. to manage the renovation and design of our 4 storey home, just over three thousand square feet. Right from when we first met Ashley and Laura, they were so full of fantastic ideas and our personalities just clicked. They are a creative team and are over flowing with ideas on what to do with each and every space. They have a definite vision, always with room to discuss options. Both work hard to search for trends and are on point with fashion and decor.They have an excellent network of trades and contacts and are great at co-ordinating appointments. We totally trusted them in our home if we couldn't be there. Ashely and Laura both balance and compliment each other. They have a similar vision with design yet also have the ability to come to right choice when deciding the final outcome on a project. We were always able to get in touch with them, as they are easily accessible. Our home now is a show piece! So much turned out beyond our expectations. The kitchen is draw dropping with a marble backsplash that looks like a piece of art. The master and third floor bathroom look like they are straight out of a magazine. We absolutely love our new home. It is modern, fresh, beautiful and most of all comfortable. Ashley and Laura know how to deliver to their clients and without hesitation we would use them again. We have recommended them to my friends and family and we will continue to do so. We are so lucky to have a home we absolutely love and we could not thank Laura and Ashley enough!

I had The Design Co. come through my whole house to help me pick room colours, draperies, carpeting, wallpaper, custom bed and light fixtures too. They also had beautiful wall panels designed for my fireplace and dining room wall which was plain bare drywall. I have called them once again to help me re-design my small family room in a mid-century style. They are wonderful to work with and very pleasant. They listen and work hard to understand what you are looking for. Definitely I would recommend Laura and Ashley

We had recently finished a renovation and hired the Design Co to finish the interior decor. This was a long distance design job, they came to our home for the initial consultation and I travelled to Toronto twice and of course there where many emails! Ashley and Laura where a dream to work with! They are willing to work with pieces that you already have,mindful of the budget and our timeline, where very professional and had wonderful ideas. This project included a great room,formal dinning room, kitchen and master bedroom. My husband and I are thrilled with the results! If you are looking for a design team look no further than the Design Co, you won't be disappointed! Ashley and Laura have great vision, an eye for detail and are able to execute any style of decor. Working with The Design Co. has been a fun, creative, and professional experience.
