First of all, I would like to thank Southern Home Design for stepping into my life and helping me get the kind of plans I not only wanted, but prayed for. They are absolutely professional and caring. When I didn't know what I wanted Mr. Tom Lee was patient and very understanding. His insight and flexibility gave me a peace and calmness when I was uncertain about what to do. It has been 12 months since my wife and I began constructing our new home addition. No small task, the final design more than doubles the square footage of the original house, while adding a new second story.. What is most important, we have maintained the design integrity of the old house - a mid-century Craftsman Bungalow. Our Archetict, Mr. Tom Lee viewed our many design ideas as we discussed our future needs. The process took many weeks to formalize and refine, but ultimately a grand and unique architectural design appeared on paper. This creative process involved lots of revisions, measuring, and photos, as we kept refining our design to make the house more modern. Now a year latter, sheetrock is finally going up, and cubes of brick and stone facia wait to be laid. Nothing in life can prepare you for a year of home construction. Yet if we had to do it again, I would not hesitate calling Southern Home Design Archetict Tom Lee to discuss our building plans. He is a friendly gentleman to work with, very professional and most importantly, has excellent taste in Architecture.

My first interaction with Southern Home Design was in March 2017 when I needed plans for a large renovation. My usual architect was booked and needed plans in a hurry. After some google searches and a few recommendations I came across Tom Lee and Southern Home Designs. I can not begin to tell you how lucky I was to find them. As an industry professional for over 20 years I have dealt with designers, architects and engineers hundreds if not thousands of times. Some were good, some were bad and some were just ok, but none can hold a candle to Tom Lee and Southern Home Designs. I have used Tom on several projects since that first meeting in March of 2017. Not only is he is a professional who is always on time, produces excellent work and delivers projects when promised, but he also has decades of experience that allow him to overcome obstacles and make your design visions a reality. Tom also has exceptional knowledge of building codes, as well as traditional and current design trends, but what really makes Tom so exceptional is his personality. Tom is genuinely a very nice person who is honest, down to earth and easy to communicate with. He takes the time to listen to your ideas and really engages with his customers and goes to great lengths to ensure satisfaction.
