We built our house with Timberlake in 2023, we are so pleased with their quality of work, customer service and prompt response. Dave Lunden made the process very smooth, answered zillion questions we had and made us feel comfortable and did not discount us in any way. During my decision process of choosing the builder, Timberlake stood out and we certainly can attest to their quality, after building the house with them. I highly recommend Timberlake to anyone who is building their house from scratch.

Dave and Joe did a great job of customizing the Hawthorne model to fit our family's dream. * Their standard homes have all the bells and whistles, and they're very affordable. * Their designers helped us pick finish options on several occasions, and they even do Facetime or Skype if you can't be there in person. * Timberlake partners with Ferguson and Mosaic to make sure the details, like appliances, fixtures, and faucets, are the popular brands you want to install.

Timberlake built one of their models on my raw acre lot near Washington, DC. They navigated the taxing permitting process expertly, cutting down the wait substantially. They lined up outstanding subcontractors and often several trades worked on the home at the same time with effective supervision. They went beyond my expectations in overcoming obstacles to bringing services to the home. They accommodated my special asks, and the home looks and functions as well as the model I visited. I’d do it all over again.

Timberlake was great to work with for my very challenging waterfront project. I met with Dave Lunden and the Timberlake team and they discussed all my options and signed on for a cottage tear down and new build. Project was built during the 2021 Covid supply chain challenges and they delivered on their promise. I highly recommend them.

My family and I hired Timberlake Design & Build to build a home for us in 2021 and it was a great experience working with the team. It was new construction and settlement occurred in November of 2021. At that point Dave and his team were on top of things. While they worked on acquiring necessary permits, we were scheduled at the design studio. During the permitting process Dave kept us up to date on all progress, changes, revisions, and statuses. He was very honest and accurate with the timeline and approximately 3-4 months after settlement we had our preconstruction meeting and the team broke ground the first week of May. The entire construction process was transparent and efficient. Every week we received updates which is just the most refreshing practice and provided a great sense of comfort. Dave went above and beyond for us; in one instance in September as we our nearing the end, Dave updated us that BGE would not be able to install our transformer and get electricity to the house until mid October which would delay floor installation. However a week or so later, Dave contacted us, and had went to bat for us during a meeting, and within a few days we had the transformer on site and was back on schedule. That kind of dedication to your client is what makes this company unbelievably great. During the entire process, Dave Lunden and Dave Lusby were very accommodating to our additional requests and was very upfront with pricing and where we were at in the budget during construction. I also have to commend the attention to detail and picking up on issues that I honestly might never had noticed, and addressing them quickly. Overall construction moved along very quickly and we were really impressed with the progress and quality of the work. We recently received the keys and are so grateful for the efficient, detailed, and beautiful work the team has accomplished. We just finished our one year post construction polishing of normal settling issues. Timberlake fixed everything pointed out to a like new status again. We love our new Timberlake Hawthorn home. Everything from design, modifications, costing/contacting, and the entire build process was professional and even fun at times. I highly recommend Timberlake!

My wife and I wanted to build a multi-purpose addition to our home with specific requirements for a trophy room. We were havering trouble finding a contractor that could handle all portions of the project when Timberlake Build Design was recommended to us. Dave Lunden and the professionals at Timberlake took charge of the project, assisting us with the final details and offering ideas we had not considered. Construction was started and completed on time with no hiccups. Timberlake's relationship with its subcontractors allowed timely scheduling of the various trades and all installations. The site manager was on the project daily and stayed in regular contact with us to make sure the project was built to proper specifications. My wife and I are extremely satisfied with the end product. I've been in the construction industry for 53 years and I can assure you that Timberlake has the expertise to build a project on time, on budget and done correctly the first time, and their customer relations are second to none.

My wife and I hired Timberlake Design & Build to build a home for us in June 2018. We actually hired them the day after we fired our first builder. We built a ~4600 square foot waterfront home on the Chesapeake Bay (subject to all the critical area laws and regulations). The most difficult part of our build was the land we had picked. It was a wetland which couldn't even support the weight of a car without it sinking. Timberlake DB worked directly with our engineers and their own soil expert in an extremely detailed manner to determine the most effective and cost efficient way to build on this lot. They addressed the soil bearing capacity issues as well the high water table in a way that now you wouldn't even know we built on a wetland. Our first builder told us we couldn't even build on this lot and Timberlake took over worked with us every step of the way and delivered a home that exceeded our expectations in every way. Aside from the site work and the difficulty building on this lot Dave and the design team went above and beyond to accommodate some changes we wanted to their standard model. The pricing was known upfront and was fair for everything we changed. We added windows, moved doors and walls where we wanted and it all turned out exactly as planned. Even some of the smallest changes were available such as installing a high rise garage doors to make room for a automotive lift in the future. During construction again the Timberlake team delivered. During construction I was stopping by the house often and checking on progress. Once construction started it moved along very quickly and I was kept in the loop on any delays. There were no delays through the entire project as a result of Timberlake, they scheduled and worked as promised. I pointed out issues as we went through the construction process with minor things that arose and the team worked to fix them as they occurred so that during our final walkthrough only minor touch ups were needed. The last thing that has stood out to my wife and I is the support we have gotten from the team after the completion of our house. Andy and Dave did a fantastic job explaining all of our homes systems to us, the warranties we have and who to reach out to with any issues. We have had no issues aside from minor adjustments needed as the house settles. We reached out recently on two doors which were now not closing properly due to settlement and someone was out to fix the doors within 2 business days. Great job Timberlake, Dave and Andy we will be recommending you to anyone we know looking into building a home and we appreciate all of your hard work!

We worked with Dave through virtually every aspect of the home planning, building and settling. Timberlake was great throughout! While they don't have a lot of building in Montgomery County Maryland, Dave and team was diligent, professional and informative throughout. We feel grateful to have found the Timberlake Design team and are thrilled with our home.

The Timberlake team built our custom home on the Severn River. Complicated site, on a hillside with waterfront restrictions. Further, our road is narrow and not easy for trucks to pass. Timberlake completed the home per our specific and detailed design, on budget and within a tight schedule. Both of these were stated priorities for us from our earliest meetings with Dave Lunden and team. Most notably, if Dave and Andy tell you they will do something (proactively or re-actively) they do it. Post-move in communications have been excellent. They were just as reliable and helpful prior to getting our job as they were during and after construction. The team worked well with one of the most creative architects in the Mid Atlantic, Jonathan Rivera. Another critical point dynamic Timberlake handled great. Tremendous job and attention to detail. Exactly what we expected. Even our more "concerned" neighbors were impressed by the process at the end of construction. Highly recommended.

Overall, Timberlake Design Build did a great job on the renovation and expansion of my daughter's Cape Cod style house. Communication with the project manager was timely and accurate, with great follow-through on issues/questions raised during the construction process. We are very pleased with the end result of the project!
