I've had the pleasure of working with Tracey on three occasions. All three projects required a level of design sophistication and attention to detail and Tracey consistently hit the mark. Her relationship with clients and thoughtfulness when guiding design options and decisions is very appreciated. As a custom home builder, I highly recommend Tracey as a working partner. Tracey is a terrific designer and a real joy to work with! She's energetic, full of sophisticated ideas, and knows how to communicate them effectively to the client and the construction team. She's also a dedicated listener and knows how to interpret the client's needs into just the right designs, materials, colors, and furniture selections. Tracey recently worked with us to renovate an Emerald Bay home and the results were nothing short of amazing. Together with the builder, Andrew Williams, we completely transformed the home into a modern but timeless beach house that incorporated some of the owner's existing furnishings and art pieces into a new showplace of sophisticated taste and style. I know the owners were extremely happy they chose Tracey to manage the interiors for them. Tracey Troop was the most skilled designer I've ever worked with. She planned and implemented the remodel and interior design of our master suite. She is brilliant at helping the client envision their dreams for the projects. She does not make it according to her taste, but explores and study what the client is looking for. She completed the project within our time and budgetary constraints and the final project exceeded all our expectations. When moving back in, I literally was brought to tears by her thoughtful attention to so many details to make it special and so livable for us. There's none better!!!!!!

Tracey helped me with my kitchen/family room remodel. She came up with a very innovative approach to solving a difficult space issue. She was extremely helpful with keeping my various subcontractors on schedule and helped me design a functional and beautiful room. Tracey is the ultimate design professional. Tracey Troop rescued our sanity and designed a beautiful home for us to share with our family and friends. I contacted Tracey while in the middle of a challenging and extensive remodel of our home. Tracey stepped in and immediately built a rapport with our contractor and started leading us through the dizzying process of decision making. Tracey is an excellent listener and was able to pull together the idea of a classic Santa Barbara style home with a relaxed and more modern "beachy" feel. The first fabric sample she showed us reflected the palette that we had envisioned and gave us confidence that she understood what we wanted . Each step of the way she would expand on our own ideas and fill in the gaps where we were clueless. This lady is patient! I am the kind of person who wants to see everything before I make up my mind. Sometimes the perfect solution is found immediately, but more often, it takes a dedicated search to find the combination of pieces that suit your taste and lifestyle. Tracey never pushed for an easy solution, but combined taking me to visit showrooms with encouraging me to browse online so that she truly understood what I was looking for. She was always available to answer questions, was free with her opinions, but respectful of our decisions. In other words she is a consummate professional as well as a warm and caring person. We are thrilled to be living in our beautiful home. When our friends visit for the first time, they immediately comment on how beautiful and welcoming it is. Then they start to notice all of the beautiful little touches and thoughtful details that are included. Finally, they say "this house looks just like you". To me, this is the ultimate compliment to Tracey's skill at interpreting our desires and guiding us to a fabulous result.

After 22 years, it was time for a complete updating of our Newport Beach home. The Troop Group was a delight to work with and we could not be more pleased. Tracey Troop interpreted our vision and we are thrilled with the results. She was very considerate of our time, and was always well prepared and efficient in our client meetings. She kept us constantly informed of the project status and kept the design project moving forward. My husband and I purchased our home in February, 2013. The house needed an extreme makeover. A friend suggested that we get in touch with Tracey Troop. We met and discussed the scope of work which included working closely with our architect. Tracey redesigned our master bathroom and saved us from making a costly mistake. Tracey Troop is the designer, founder etc. of the Troop Group. My home is beautiful because of her. My home was built in 1948. Tracey was outstanding in choosing colors for walls, curtains, rugs, lighting, floors, etc. She re-designed the kitchen and service porch bathroom. It is very pretty and functional. My hardwood floors are perfect in every way. Tracey made decisions easy. She suggested and gave choices. We looked at granite, rugs etc. The trade people she chose were also outstanding. I had wonderful painters, electricians etc. Tracey is organized. All book-keeping was perfect. I was always aware of price, dead-lines etc. She is very talented and a pleasure in every way. The Troop Group provided overall interior design services with regard to colors, finishes and furniture selections, on a large scale restoration of a 1915 classic Pasadena, CA estate home. Tracey Troop's mandate was to provide a lively, elegant reinterpretation of Los Angeles living, respectful of Pasadena's traditionalism but playfully acknowledging the excitement of nearby Hollywood. The resulting interior is elegant, warm and imaginative. Particularly impressive is the fugue of colors as the rooms move from lavendar, to ochre, to rust, to sage green, even including the client's collection of southwestern artifacts-- harmonious, complementary, unexpected, gorgeous. Most importantly, this client had never worked with an interior designer before, because of the client's negative perceptions of professional interior design practices. The Troop Group, however, offered an highly interactive project-- with client leadership in many areas-- and they did it cheerfully and with a spirit of adventure. The result is that the client feels the home is their home-- with their ideas-- and yet the home has achieved a luxuriousness and flair the client could not have accomplished themselves. A home run.
