Look, what you need to know is that UDG will give you the build of a lifetime. The people behind this company are solid gold. When I started out as a young developer, I hired them as one of my first builders. The first project was a home run. Second build, on schedule on budget. Third & fourth, just as good. We had a lot of fun and did cool projects with collaboration and I never once doubted these guys (know what I mean?). Well, then I got clever and decided to start my own construction company. Wow. It's been a hard few years. I've had to learn a lot but I got a lot of advice and help from UDG even though I essentially turned into competition for them. That's who they are. They care about the people the work with. That's what sets them apart from other builders.

Jeff has an unparalleled eye for detail and craftsmanship. He knows exactly what he is looking for and how to turn a project into an eye-catching masterpiece. In our home, he was able to up-cycle floor joists from the original house into a wonderful kitchen bar that draws the attention of our guests when they enter the room. He also was able to reuse original wood from the nearly 100 year old house into a clever design under the roof of our front porch. Moreover, he beautifully renovated the 12 foot pocket doors and mantle in the living room, as well as the mantle in the Master Bed Room. These features draw the eye of everyone that enters the room. Again, most would miss the simplicity of these clever ideas, but they add a touch to our house that makes it stand out in our East Nashville neighborhood.

I bought a house that was built by Urban Development back in March, I have had several issues with the house. The 1st issues was, the HVAC for the second story was not cooling, I notified them and the HVAC contractor. It was over a month and no response to get these issues resolved. Finally had to get my lawyer involved to send a demand letter to get them to resolve the HVAC issues. I currently have 2 other issues, the sidewalk that was installed, the sub grade was not properly installed and my sidewalk is sinking and is starting to crack. The other issue is, the second floor balcony post have pulled away and from and currently have approx 1/2" gap between the top of the post and the beam. I just received an email from Jeremy Walker stating they are not going to correct these 2 issues and I quote from the email he just sent me " We prefer not to work for homeowners as we are really busy and don't have time to give you the attention that a homeowners demand". I would suggest not hiring them as it will take you forever to get anything resolved or not resolved at all... To add to this review, I received an email from Jeremy stating that the 2 issues will not be resolved by Urban Development LLC unless I want to pay them for the work.

I am the cabinet guy for Jeff and Jeremy and can't thank them enough for their business. They are very professional and easy to work with. I f I have any questions they are quick to respond with answers. I really appreciate them and Doug, their project manager. Derek in the office is great to work with too.

We contracted for our home when it was about 85% complete. Jeff worked with us on modifications such as paint, gas vs. electric appliances. He handled the typical minor new house issues in an efficient and professional manner. We added a detached garage a few months later and Jeff provided guidance, completing the project on time and to our satisfaction.
