My husband and I have been working with Vina for the past year on our Altadena home rebuild. We lost our home in the Eaton fire and needed to work with someone compassionate, flexible and experienced. We are so glad we found Vina from Sol House Design. She really listened to our needs and wants for our rebuild, and helped us come up with elegant and pragmatic solutions for the redesign of our home. Vina is an amazing architect. She designed our tiny house in Ojai. To work with Vina is very affordable. She knew how to stay within our budget. And her design was perfect for our small yard. The Tiny house is not only beautiful but has so many little details; like a small staircase that has storage underneath it and a bed on the top where one can rest. Vina also has great technical expertise and knows how to communicate with contractors and can find them for you. She asks the right questions and can assess the work right away. That helps to avoid any mistakes and saves time.

Vina is currently leading us through a remodel of a 100 year old spanish bungalow, shaded by beautiful mature oak trees. There are a lot of tricks to perform to get this remodel done and Vina is handy at them all. We look forward to keeping the serenity and vibe our little bungalow gives us and feel confident that Vina is the perfect choice to make it happen.

When we bought a tiny rental property in Ojai in 2016 we knew that one day we wanted to build an ADU on the 5,000 square foot space adjacent to the existing house under the California Oaks. The FIRST person that we thought to reach out to 8 years later was Vina Lustado of Sol Haus Design. We had enlisted Vina's help with some small renovation projects on the original house, and over the years had witnessed Vina's efficiency, integrity, deep passion for tiny homes and her enormous commitment to sustainability. When we started out on the permitting process for our 600 square foot ADU we knew that we were in the VERY BEST hands. Vina was incredibly tenacious and always timely with her submittals to the city on our behalf. She was always open and willing to discuss our vision for the project and incorporate our ideas into the overall plan. Vina was also very practical about storage, lighting, the efficient use of space and mindful of the environment in which the ADU would be situated. Vina is very thoughtful in her approach to design and from a business standpoint incredibly efficient and knowledgable. Her communication skills are also excellent. And to top it off, Vina was a JOY to work with...she approached the permitting process with such optimism and enthusiasm. I always looked forward to meeting with her because of her infectious spirit.
