My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Michal Grabowski (XYZ PLANS) drew up the plans, submitted the required documentation to NYC and oversaw the work on a "gut renovation" of the upper duplex apartment in our home in Park Slope. XYZ PLANS worked very well with our contractor and when the contractor encountered an issue that required a specialized outside remediation plan; XYZ quickly got that taken care of. Our contractor noted that he previously needed similar assistance on a much larger job than ours, but the architect on that project took much much longer to get the help he needed causing a more significant delay than we experienced. We have recommended XYZ plans to a number of friends who then had similar experiences with XYZ PLANS and they subsequently recommended the firm to others. In addition to being skilled professionals, XYZ was a very respectful partner and my wife and I found them a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend the firm. Marvin

I worked with Michal on the renovation of my small apartment t. He was involved in every aspect and worked with me and the contractor to assure the best result. He was always available both to talk and review the progress in person as well as to suggest ways to get the best result at a price that fit my budget. The results of his work and design are visible. I love my apartment. I highly recommend him both as a creative source as well as a an excellent partner in developing a renovation plan. I keep in touch with him and reach out if I need advice or a a recommendation.

I worked with Michal from XYZ plans for a co-op apartment renovation in NYC. Not only is he a pleasure to talk to and work with - he's extremely thoughtful, detail oriented, determined to get the best outcome for his clients (he also has great, elegant taste). There was a particular change that I was nervous to make - but he was confident it was the right decision, and very carefully explained why it was the better choice. He was totally right and I'm glad I listened. I fully recommend Michal and his work - don't hesitate to work with him!

I hired XYZ Plans to help me deal with my brownstone renovation in Park Slope. The scope of work included: installation of AC system, terrace door replacement, stoop metal railing repair and new stucco finish, garden pavilion upgrade with new roof waterproofing, new heating system, and new concrete floor. Since it was not a big project we minimized the drawings to minimum details and prepared an elaborate written description instead. I had a fixed budget that would not be able to include some of work. However, Michal Grabowski, the head of XYZ Plans, was able to find a local builder who did it all for the price. I really appreciated the way the construction process was handled, with customized contract, weekly meeting and meeting minutes, work quality verification and progress checking. It was always great to know that I can call anytime and have a reasonable person arbitrating between me and the contractor. Renovation is not a nice process when you cannot vacant the house but without XYZ Plans professional help it would have been much, much worse. I sure know whom to call when I will be renovating again. Marion
