Studio Ectypos began as a design collaborative in 2001 with a unique interdisciplinary perspective. Our creative approach draws on a breadth of learning and experience encompassing classical and modern architecture, history, building, artisanal crafts, topology, and land surveying. We share cultural roots across two continents: this provides context and appreciation for place and time and the relationship to essence and archetypes. These unique interdisciplinary and multicultural foundations spurred us to create Studio Ectypos as the conduit for our work.
Our residential projects are designed to fit their owners' unique needs and desires. They are elegant, functional and finely detailed. They range from high end primary residences to relaxed second homes; from new construction to remodels of existing buildings.
We maintain acute attention to the needs and objectives of the client, undertake deep site analysis, use a proficient and open design approach, and perform efficient project management. Our work is comprehensive from the broadest vision down to the smallest detail.
It is our earnest goal to deliver living and working spaces for our clients that enhance their lives. We believe the best way to do so is to create environmentally restorative and culturally relevant buildings that are responsive to our client’s objectives.
