Me + She Studios

Me + She Studios is the brainchild of Philadelphia-based designer Megin Sherry. Her widely varied background in fashion and jewelry design, interior design, building, and fabrication informs her work. Her ongoing collection for Me + She is a modern take on himmeli-inspired objects: planters, mobiles, jewelry, wall and table-top sculptures. Her pared-down geometric pieces are delicate and airy; when hanging from a string, their clean-lined profiles are constantly shifting as they spin, creating beautiful fluid shapes from their silhouettes and cast shadows. All of her items are made by hand in her studio, and although they speak to a minimalist economy of form, they also tap into the timeless tradition of hand work; her pieces evoke a way of making through skilled handicraft that is slowly disappearing in the era of 3-D printing and CNC production.
