MACRAME MADE BY HAND WITH LOVE IN SAN DIEGO. ABOUT UTTU The Name And What It Means Uttu in Sumerian Mythology is the goddess of weaving and clothing. In the Sumerian language Uttu is translated as "the woven" and often depicted as the spider goddess. One of the aspects that I fell in love with when researching the name was the idea of weavers and fiber artists being magic makers, evoking a particular image from the aethers to create that design using thread or rope. I consider myself to be a magic maker and hope that by creating my designs I can help to inspire others to find their own magic making outlet.
