Imagine Surfaces

I bought countertops as part of a home & kitchen renovation. In the process of selecting countertops, I took three days off of work and visited probably 25+ stone distributors, warehouses, etc. Imagine Surfaces ended up being the best of the bunch for us. On to the details: Selection is on the small but extremely well curated. Lots of whites and marbles, although I ended up with a white quartzite. They do have a few other types of stones and a few darker colors, but no manufactured stone (Quartz). Absolutely nothing "builder grade" here--everything is outright beautiful. Think all "Super Exotics" from some of the other distributors. Knowledge on products is excellent. He (Cabe) knows about the stone, quarries, thickness, hardness, etc.. He's honest about the pros and cons of any slab and I was able to confirm everything he said through other parties. Personalized attention. I was the only one in there, by design. He was happy to answer questions, but was mostly far enough away for my wife and me to have honest discussions about look, price, or whatever else without him being involved. Pricing. Two notes. First: he could actually give approximate pricing ranges on the spot, as in "$80-$120 a square foot, installed". I fell right into his range--i couldn't get any fabricators to get as low as his "low" estimate, but my price came in lower than the "high" estimate too. I can't emphasize enough how refreshing I found it to be able to understand approximate pricing on the spot (if you're new to stone buying, the usual method of obtaining pricing takes a game of telephone and usually a few days). The second note is that their pricing is great. I got a prettier & "better" stone at Imagine Surfaces than I had been able to afford anywhere else. Follow-through: There was some friction with the fabricator that I used (not my choice, but a GC pick) and suffice it to say that Cabe went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy. If I had a friend looking to buy natural-stone counters, I'd send them to Imagine Surfaces first. My wife and I are VERY happy with the stone we picked and the experience with Cabe at Imagine Surfaces.

I had the pleasure of meeting Matt Gordon last June (2015) as we started our home renovation. Ultimately we did not use Matt but that is simply because in the world of natural stone, what I wanted just wasn't available at the time we needed it with Matt. I will say that of all the distributors I met ( and I shopped many places), Matt was simply the best.....kind, honest, engaging. He was always accessible and truly wanted to educate his clients on natural stone countertops. I also researched Vetrazzo but decided against it in favor of the natural stones. I love the Virginia soapstone (Alberene Churchill) that Matt supplies. It is a beautiful product. I ended up with a different one (PA) as I needed a larger slab than available at that time. But the Churchill is beautiful and Matt gave us samples to play with at home to see if it was really for us. He also distributes a gorgeous marble out of Georgia. Again, just not the right color for this project but it is beautiful and I would highly recommend it to anyone liking variations of gray. Bottom line is that Matt is a true professional, looking out for his clients, and seems like a really nice guy too. I wish him the best of luck with his business.

Matt was great to work with and really went the extra mile to find exactly what we wanted. I'll definitely be going to him next time we do any countertop work. I've recommended him to several friends already.

After reviewing many suppliers I settled on Imagine Surfaces who offered the best cost / quality ratio. I first came into the store and didn't know what to look for, it was not an easy process to figure out the right material, pattern and colour. The support received from them was excellent and they were very helpful in the stone selection process. We installed new stone on the front of our renovated house and the experience was great.
